I had my first heat and man it was horrible.

I thought I'd die or something. It happened yesterday. I was forced to go on a bike ride with my siblings while my dad jogged. It was super hot outside and I had only a few sips of water. I was outside for like half an hour or something. As I got closer to my house, I sped up as fast as I could so that I could get home quicker, but that was a bad idea. I tired myself out before I even got home, so I rode my bike on a slow pace as I tried to breathe my heartbeat back to a normal pace. I basically tossed my bike to the side when I reached my house. As soon as I got inside I felt relieved and plopped myself onto the couch, relaxing myself. But then my heart began to pick up its pace (it began to hurt... like a lot), my head began to hurt, and I started to pant even more than I already was. I thought oh, I need some water like now. And so I got myself up in my feet but then I got dizzy and my eyesight was a little funky. At this time, my family members were already inside the house resting themselves. I think I wobbled to the kitchen which wasn't too far away and poured myself a glass of water. I was super dizzy and weak and the water didn't really help. I didn't know at the time that I was having a heat so I didn't really know what was going on. None of my family members seemed to care. Even after I fell and almost went completely unconcious they didn't even ask if I was okay... I didn't even notice that I fell because my mind was occupied with how much my heart was racing, how hot it was, and how I was gonna faint any second. I couldn't handle my body temperature anymore so I stumbled my way to the bathroom and got myself into the shower. I didn't care that I had my clothes on, I didn't care that I hadn't closed the door fully I jumped into the shower and the coldest water. I was done (tired of) standing so I dropped down onto my bum and just sat there under the running water. At first I was scared the cold water wouldn't help but after like 20 seconds my heartbeat slowed and so did my breathing. I didn't feel like I was burning anymore and my eyesight finally stopped being weird. I felt great that it was over. I never want to go through that ever again. Like I'd rather get shot in the shoulder again than go through that experience, seriously. Even though my shooting incident happened like 5 years ago, I don't remember it being as bad as this heat .

Thanks for reading if you've reached this far. I hope you don't have to go through a heat ever (or get shot at). Have a great day. =)

Drink more water , stay indoors if the weather is too hot , wear thin and light clothes , take showers , use umbrellas / hat if you have to go out. Take good care and may you get well soon
