birthname. Han, Yeon Woo
nicknames.

— Han Woo; she hates it when people don’t properly address her so the other girls call her a combination of her last name and the second part of her first name to irritate her
— Yeon; once again, just to annoy her

birthdate. January 16 (and whatever year would make her a second year since Koreans only have first, second, and third years in high school)
birthplce. Seoul, South Korea
ethnicity. Korean
languages.

— Korean; her native language
— English; because she lived overseas for most of her childhood, she speaks English fluently

faceclaim. BlackPink’s Jennie
backup fc. Red Velvet’s Seulgi
APPEARANCE.

— Yeon Woo stands at 5’6, which is fairly averagely tall.

— Her hair is medium-long length, reaching just under her shoulder blades. She’ll either have her hair down (most of the time) or put it up in a ponytail to keep it out of her face.

— She has a pale complexion because she never goes outside lol, all she does is stay inside.

— Yeon Woo is a beautiful child. A very chic chick.

Fashion style.

— Yeon Woo gets ticked off when someone isn’t wearing their uniform properly so she hecka wears hers the “right” way. Her skirt is as long as it’s meant to be, her shirt is crispy white and all buttoned up, her bow is nicely placed, and her blazer is lint-free and speck-less.

— Outside of school, Yeon Woo tends to dress, in simple terms, like a good, rich girl. Preppy, clean cut, sophisticated. She wears solid color skirts, dark wash jeans, minimalistic blouses, and form-fitting dresses. (Her usual outfit would just be a plain, basic white blouse with a black ribbon tied around the collar/neck area and a black skirt ending just above her knee). Everything that says snobby, rich, better-than-you.

— Yeon Woo likes basic colors. Black, white, grey are all she basically wears every day, except for a splash of red, blue, purple, or maybe light pink. Yeon Woo will not be caught dead in bright green or highlighter yellow.

Capricorn.

”She’s responsible, disciplined, has self control and a good manager. But, she’s a know-it-all, unforgiving, condescending and always expecting the worst.”

Yep. Yeon Woo is a responsible and disciplined book lover who follows the rules and never has a piece of lint or wrinkle on her uniform. She’s reserved and analytical, often being the one who would tell the girls if something they were planning to do would be legal or not. She’s quite reserved and speaks in retorts. She likes to be the safety star of the group, making sure everyone is safe and no one is half-dead from their crazy mystery journey. But still, she’s such a pessimistic but prefers to call it being “realistic and careful.”

”We should stay in, it’s going to rain.” She says as the sky has only one cloud floating around.

”Oh no, if I fail, I’ll be expelled!” Everyone else groaned at Yeon Woo’s complaints, remembering her report card full of A+’s.

”No, that plan will fail.” Yeon Woo the extreme optimistic—not—pipes up.

bckground.

Han Yeon Woo lived in New York, USA with her grandparents ever since she was eight years old and moved back to Korea when she was about to start high school. She comes from a wealthy family, hence her snobbish attitude and personal narrative.

Yeon Woo grew up resenting her parents’ life styles. Her parents were always busy with their huge corporation with her dad as the CEO and her mom as a doctor. Growing up, her dad was busy with his duties as the CEO of Han Coporation and the head of the Han Group. Their family owed several hospitals and that’s how her parents actually met. Her mom was a doctor at the largest Han Hospital in Seoul and would barely be home and when she was home, she was busy catching up on sleep.

With no other siblings, Yeon Woo grew up with herself as her best friend and would mistake isolation for independence. Fortunately though, the zodiac girls really came around and welcomed her as a part of their group of friends (although as the hater she is, she insists she’s only managing the group so no one dies).

Her friends respect how she was raised and why she turned out like her and she loves that about them. She doesn’t like people prying into her personal life so when the girls were accepting of her reservedness, she felt like she could open up to them based on her own terms.

fun facts.

— Yeon Woo likes rules (lol). She doesn’t believe that rules were meant to be broken.

— Externally a lawful neutral, internally a chaotic neutral

— Her favorite hobby is reading.

— The library is her second home. If anyone is ever looking for her, don’t panic yet until you’ve checked the library.

— Really smart cookie, basically a Ravenclaw and Slytherin.

— She doesn’t ever call anyone by a nickname if she can help it (because she’s a hater like that). The girls will only get away with calling her Han Woo or Yeon once in a while. If they try too much in one day, she’ll smack them over the head with her trusty book she always has in hand. She’s just a nickname hater in general.

— Winter will always be her favorite season. She likes it because that’s when people stop asking her to go partying, camping, swimming, girl’s night outs, and just plain hanging out.

— Likes to have roofs over her head. Not an outdoor person.

— Plays the violin like a champ (major violin freak), a child prodigy who’s won 10 annual prestigious violin competitions

— Hella pessimistic lol

— Actually a soft bean. Please don’t hurt her, she’s a softie deep inside.

— She bonds with people over things they mutually hate.

— Mentally allergic to a lot of stuff

— She often says “Shut up.” and “Don’t touch me.”

— She just really doesn’t like other people.

Relationship.

— Best Friend : Kwon Vanessa / high school student / cool / 10

As one of the only friends Yeon Woo has ever had, she rates them all a 10.

— Best Friends : the zodiac girls / high school students, squad / best people alive / 10

Once again, her only friends are all 10’s.

So, what's your zodiac sign?

— “The only logical, normal, and realistic one of the group.  Capricorn, obviously. What else?”

what were your initial thoughts when vanessa came up with the idea to investigate mirin's suicide?

— “Vanessa, you’re not a detective so that’s basically stupid You're going to pull an illegal stunt just to get to the bottom of it, I can feel it coming already. Besides, if you did find something, it’s only right to turn it into the police.”

— “Fine, I’m in... kinda. I’ll watch over you all so you don’t go running into walls.”

what song do you think fits you the best?

— “I would prefer to keep my music taste a secret, thank you very much. Invasion of privacy much?”

I would say Whistle by BlackPink. She’s very chic and things are about to blow up in the story.

oof last question, what do you have that the other zodiac members don't?

— “Intelligence and logic. If I wasn’t there to help any of them, they all would’ve fallen down the stairs already. Honestly though, if they didn’t have me, they would’ve all broken every rule in the student code. I’m the only realistic, logicalm legal, smart, and normal one in this group of freaks.”

birthname. Kim, Taehyung
backup lv. Herself (n/a, haha...)

PRSONLITY.

— Not an idiot 101

— Really damn smart, the number one student in his grade for he feels the need to need to have a good reputation

— A bit cruel and sadistic; he’s got a minor possessive streak

— Half of the time, he would rather just observe. Needless to say, he’s a bit of a “man of few words” around the normal student population. (If he said whatever he wanted to, everyone would die with his words.)

LOVE STORY.

“Hey, Yeon, you’ve been staring at Kim Taehyung for the last thirty minutes.” Her friend piped up, the corner of curling upwards in a knowing smirk. “You like him, don’t you?”

Yeon Woo scoffed, wincing at the nickname too. “I don’t even like you.”

”Oh please, you barely can tolerate staring at me for a minute so if you’re sparing him a second glance, hm.” Her friend teased. “But I don’t blame you. Senior Taehyung is hot.”

”No, shut up, get away from me.” Yeon Woo rolled her eyes and voiced her disgust as her friend inched closer to her, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively. “Ew, stop it, you smell like beef.”

”Hey, Han Woo! I don’t smell like beef!”

——

Yeon Woo had noticed the tall and handsome boy from her school at her parent’s social parties and gatherings but never talked to him. She really only started gaining interest in him after she caught him smirking after spilling water on a girl who was flirting with him. At that time, she laughed too because she could understand him a little.

Her laughing at him didn’t escape his ears and when he rounded up on her, his seriousness and intensity really captivated her. She admired how he didn’t hesitate to drag her into a corner and tell her to mind her own business. Ever since then, she had always sought him out at parties.

Yeon Woo herself would never admit she had a crush on her senior upperclassman. Who? Her? Han Yeon Woo? No way. Our Yeon Woo doesn’t do crushes. Fine, but she would never admit it to her friends. That would basically be the end of her life.

Taehyung could care less about a random girl he saw at a party so he had forgotten about Yeon Woo after a while. Regardless, it seemed like fate (or really, just her friends) wanted to push them together and he found that they had been stuck in classrooms and hiding behind library shelves for quite a while. He started secretly looking forward to their library “coincidental” meet ups.

THE ENDING.

— Throughout the story, I’d like it if the other girls would purposely set up stuff to get Yeon Woo to talk to Taehyung. You know, little meaningful short and sweet moments that makes sparks fly. At the end, I think it would fit her personality best if the story just drops the bomb that they went on a casual “It wasn’t a date!” date and their relationship will bloom after the main story has ended. But you did say that they’re not really relevant to the story so welps lol.

— I just really want Yeon Woo to have someone she can rely on unlike a friend or an adult. She needs someone to love lol. I think Taehyung will be a good person for the girls to ask questions about weird topics (like where people were at what time because he sees a lot and doesn’t say anything because he doesn't care)

comments. Honestly, this is my very first applyfic. I wasn’t the most confident coming into this but I wanted to give it a try. I’ve always loved zodiacs so I thought I would pick this one to try out first. Did ya notice my little vine reference? Lol... Anyways, thanks for giving me the chance to apply! :)
