People with road rage...

So new driver here! Cut the story short I almost caused a car accident and I admit it was my fault. At the moment I was just shocked and felt sorry but the other driver was just cussing at me. He called me 'b*tch' and 'st*pid c*nt' and like I didn't know what to do. We both drove off in our own ways since we didn't actually crash into each other but right now I'm still sshocked by everything. Like how can someone get so mad and cuss like that over what clearly was an accident. I guess I'm just a softie at heart. I mean I wouldn't get that upset if someone almost hit my car. I would be surprised/worried/ thakful that we're both okay but not swearing at the driver... It's just something I don't understand about some people...

So yeah... Feeling a bit down now...

Has anyone had a similar situation? How did you move on from it?

I have one of those road rages so I can relate. As a driver, i'm annoyed by how slow people can be sometimes because the traffic is crazy. Not to mention the fact that sometimes people dont pay attention to the road/traffic and they suddenly swerve left or right without turning on the signal is irritating.

But i dont understand why male car drivers tend to be pains in the . They love their cars so much here that whenever somebody else causes their cars scratches or sth like that they get all worked up

Don't take it personally! Often times, people changed so much when they're behind the wheels (my father is an example) and somehow get oversensitive on the road.
I usually think they probably in a rush or having a bad mood hence the rage and cussing etc etc so I brush it off.
It's your first time driving so it's understandable. Just make sure to learn from it so you'll get better in driving~

Honestly don't take a single word that person said to you personally love. You are a new driver. It's very common for you do do things that can cause a wreck. Just keep in mind they were new too at one time.

I’ve never drove before but I’d have to admit, I get pedistrate rage/road rage at other people’s driving. Of course I’ve had my “YOU SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED TO DRIVE.” “GO TAKE A DRIVER’S TEST AGAIN.” “YOU’RE BREAKING THE SPEED LIMIT LAW.” but never cussed anyone out. My own rage comes from some drivers making illegal turns, crossing red lights, and going over speed limit and such. The only situation I can see myself cussing at people is when they break a law and act smug about it as if it’s my fault. That would make me mad. Regardless, if you both made a mistake or they’re respectful about it, it’s should be fine. People who cuss out other drivers for no apparent reason or are ruse (like the ones in your situation) need help. It’s great that you admit it was wrong on your part and you stayed respectable and mature about it. The only thing you should worry about is if you’re fine or not. If the other party is so rude about it, let them worry about themselves. Just be more attentive next time and relax. <3 stay safe on the road :)
