Kiss me

FACE CLAIM : NCT's Jaehyun
BACK-UP FACE CLAIM : SF9's Hwiyoung
HEIGHT & WEIGHT : 180cm, 68kg

APPEARANCE

— Naturally brown hair (he doesn't like oddly coloured hair, but wouldn't say no if the company insisted)

— Has glasses that he wears as long as he isn't on-stage or practicing since he doesn't like contacts either

— Skin colour is more on the pale side, skinny for his height, 1cm taller than his twin (and proud)

— Doesn't really smile often (resting face, pretty much) and looks bored 99% of the time

— Small scar on his left eyebrow that he got when he was 10 when he fought the bullies who picked on Yechan

FASHION STYLE :

— Black, lotsa black, will definitely wear an all black attire if he can since he's not into bright colours

— Knows how to look sharp, but keeps his comfort since comfort is still above looking good

— Likes wearing beanies, jackets, and coats since he gets cold easily (but won't admit he's cold)

— Not picky with shoes and isn't the type of guy who's into collecting sneakers and all that

— His only exception to his usual no-colour rule being patterned socks (he may have a small collection)

— For an example closest to his style, it'll probably be Suga from BTS ( 1 2 3 )

It's a secret.

PERSONALITY :

— Yedarm may appear shy and submissive, but he's far from it, although he's definitely not the type to speak unless spoken to since he tends to think most trivial things aren't worth his time and effort. If he's not interested in it, he just doesn't care, but on the hand he's very passionate about stuff he likes and could talk about these things for hours. The only exception to his usual silence is when he's particularly annoyed or in a bad mood, especially if provoked on purpose, because then he could launch into an all out rant or give out snarky comments here and there (insults included). He'll prefer to be alone when mad though, so he'll snap at whoever disrupts his peace.
— Likes to believe he's on the moral high ground and that he's right, even when he may be wrong. Stubborn and knows it, but he just doesn't care if you disagree with him or try and prove him wrong. There's no changing his mindset, values, beliefs, and attitude toward things. If you want to try though, it'll be best to use logic and reasoning to argue with him opposed to stuff like feelings and emotions, since that's too subjective for him. He doesn't care at all if people may not like him or insult him, since it's his own opinion of himself that matters most to him.
— He's hardworking towards his own goals and would stop at nothing to achieve them. He believes that in life, you have to earn what you want and things can't be handed to you on a silver spoon. That being said, he hates lazy people and free loaders the most, and can't stand it when people who don't deserve things get them anyway. His passion covers everything he likes and range from important things (being an idol, school) to non-important ones (gaming).
— Despite his hard to deal with traits, Yedarm's also a firm believer of "work hard, play hard" and would always take the time to do things that don't require too much stress. At the end of all his hardwork, he'll treat himself to a full day of playing games or watching anime, for sure. He knows how to have fun, but only when he thinks it's deserved; when he relaxes, he relaxes all the way (like sleeping in until the afternoon).
— Rather than say he dislikes people easily, it's best to word it as he doesn't like people easily instead, since he's usually neutral. If you manage to successfully get Yedarm to like you though, you have a very dependable friend who will do his best to help you out, but while still keeping the help according to his own way of doing things. He's pretty fun to talk to once you get him talking about stuff he likes or funny instances, since he's good at re-enacting scenes and moments for the sake of a good story. His naturally logical nature makes him a great giver of advice if you want something straight to the point and honest.

BACKGROUND

— Born and raised in Busan by his parents with an older sister and a twin brother. He's the younger one of the twins, but tends to act like he's the older one since Yechan's more shy and reserved. Both of them had instrumental lessons as a kid, with Yechan's being piano and his being guitar, which is what sparked his interest in music. He ended up convincing his parents to let him take vocal lessons when he was around 8, but it got cut when they moved.
— Remember that scar he got when he was 10? He's been living in Busan up until that point when his parents decided to live in the Philippines and continue the twins' schooling there due to the bullying instances Yechan keeps getting into back in Korea, also since the school system in South Korea is too pressuring. That being said, he studied in the Philippines from 2007 - 2014 at a Chinese school and graduated  high school there at the age of 17. He learned how to converse in English and Tagalog thanks to this, but also learned basic Chinese since it's a required class in the school, although it wasn't anything too hard and he easily forgot the more complicated lessons. He didn't get to do much musically in the Philippines, since the school he went to wasn't really into those so he focused on his studies instead, wanting to do better since it wasn't even his native language. It got frustrating multiple times, but in the end he used this to push himself further and he got high grades regardless.
— His music tastes gradually evolved from mellow indie Korean songs that he could sing along to when he started getting into the KPOP scene more since it also became popular in the Philippines during his stay there. He ended up falling in love with TVXQ's Mirotic, particularly the rap part, and since then began to practice rap more instead of just singing since it felt like a less emotional way of expressing himself since it was more tehcnical with the beats and formation of words, which he liked working on to. When they moved back to Korea and officially to Seoul, Yedarm decided to audition on a whim when he was supported by his family and did
Geeks' Officially Missing You for his audition, one of Yechan's favourite songs, even if he originally disliked the idea of auditioning with what he considered a cheesy song.
— Despite technically graduating high school in the Philippines, due to the Korean schooling system, he's back in high school for another three years by the time they returned and also when he started becoming a trainee. He goes to Hanlim with his twin brother and always does well in his classes despite the trainee / idol life, since he doesn't believe in slacking off his studies just because he can, since idols have that excuse. He'll sacrifice sleep for the sake of finishing homework and going to practice.

TRIVIA :

— If you know about the Myer-Briggs stuff, his MBTI is ESTJ!

— He's the younger twin by just four minutes and often, Yechan would jokingly say "when I was your age..." and proceed to tell him what he did just a few minutes ago.
— The "ye" in his name means art or talent, while "darm" means resembles, which means he resembles art, although the running joke is that since he was the younger twin, "darm" was just supposed to be a way to say that he resembles Yechan.
— Doesn't like animals in general, but he does like cats and has a pet cat named
Seoji. His twin owns a similar looking cat named Seomi since they adopted the cats (read: Yechan begged for them) at the same time.
— In school, he liked Economics the best even if they only had it for a semester. He actually doesn't like going to school, but he does so since it's the right thing to do and the way to live a successful life and all that jazz.

— Aual in the form of not being interested in ual activity, but not exactly aromantic. The closest he got to being romantically involved was when a few girls in his class confessed to him, but he just wasn't interested. He's never been in a relationship since it's not something he thought he should be thinking about yet since he's still young and wants to focus on other things and his own interests. Probably just couldn't be bothered to care for another person. He doesn't think he minds about the gender of whoever he'll be with though, as long as they can tolerate him and vice versa.

— Has a slight brother complex in the form of pretty much agreeing to anything Yechan says, hurting anyone who even thinks about hurting his brother, and in general is hardly ever mean or stubborn when it comes to Yechan.

— A complete anime / manga / manhwa nerd. Ask him anything about any show and he'll know something about it. His favourites are usually the ones that include gaming in them like The Gamer, Sword Art Online, and No Game No Life. Seriously though, he'll watch and read anything and gets 50% of his knowledge from anime, too.
— Anime is probably the only thing that'll get him thinking romantic things and even so much as feel emotions since he loves romantic animes with lots and lots of angst since they "add to the story" and make it worthwhile.

— A close second to anime are games like League of Legends, Overwatch, and PubG. He also has a few anime based games (usually the Sword Art Online ones) that he binge-plays when he has free time.
— He's absolute at sports. It's not one of those "I at it, so I have to make sure to improve!" things for him, it's a "I know it's inevitable that I , so why bother?" kind of thing. He knows where to place his efforts.
— The only time he got into a fist fight was that time when he was 10. He never got into another one again even when he got mad because Yechan made him promise, since he got badly hurt after it.

— Favourite Food: Sour Patch Kids, sushi, anything related to beef, mangoes
— Hates bananas since he can't stand the texture, eggs in any form since they make him vomit
— Favourite  Color: Black, grey, white, neutral colours
— As mentioned in the fashion section, he doesn't like colourful colours. At most, he'll probably tolerate the colour blue and red, but that's it.
— Favourite Artists: TVXQ, SHINee, Epik High, G-Dragon, Beenzino, Dumbfounded, Jay Park
— Favourite Number: 6, since it's the half of his birthdate
— Scared of heights and scary movies. He won't ride rollercoasters or any of those rides and won't watch movies even if you call him a wimp.
— Has a habit of tucking his lower lip under his front teeth when he's thinking.
— Curses like a sailor to the point that it's almost as if it's ingrained in his vocabulary, except when he's around his family, Yechan included.
— Twitter, Instagram: jangyd6
— Soundcloud: yedarmj (he posts short rap covers now and then)

CONNECTIONS

— father : Jang Cheonwoo / Owner of a small restaurant / Caring, funny, strict / 7 out of 10
No important interactions to take note of (let me know if I should add any though.)

— mother : Lee Yerim / Painter / Gentle, loving, friendly / 8 out of 10
No important interactions to take note of (let me know if I should add any though.)

— older sister : Jang Hana / Student, born '96 / Smart, quiet, awkward / 5 out of 10
No important interactions to take note of (let me know if I should add any though.)

— twin brother : Jang Yechan / Student / Shy, random, sweet / 9999999 out of 10 (lmao you get it)
As I mentioned above and as you could probably tell throughout the application, Yechan is the one person who could get Yedarm off his high horse and get the stubborn boy to listen. They're pretty much opposites, really, and many who meet Yechan first are surprised to find that they're so different. Yedarm tells Yechan everything because he knows the other boy accepts him, but also isn't afraid to tell him off when needed. He's Yedarm's #1 supporter in life. Despite being different in terms of personality, they share many of the same interests, so often even if Yedarm can't go home, they still find a way to hang out through playing online games. Yedarm does his best to keep his twin brother out of the limelight as much as possible.

— best friend : Kim Seongchan / Novice LoL player / Playful, witty, mischievous / 9 out of 10
The two met in the Philippines since Seongchan went to the same school and they were in the same year level. There were few Koreans in the school, so most of them hung out together and Seongchan pretty much latches himself onto both of the twins. He becomes fast friends with Yedarm since he's not afraid of a little banter and argues with him often, but nothing too serious. He moved to Korea earlier than the twins to pursue being a professional LoL player for the big leagues and is currently aiming to be a part of SKT. Since he lives in Seoul, he meets up with Yedarm now and then.

LOVE INTEREST : I was actually thinking Heeun, if he'll have Yedarm... That being said, the personality is yours and since it's your character and story overall, I don't mind if you decide how the love story and ending goes. Anything to make the story work more, but I'm thinking Yedarm won't be the one making the first move, if ever, but he'll go with the flow.
BACK UP LOVE INTERESTI'm okay with Yedarm not having a lovelife or if anybody else applies who are willing to have a love interest within the group, it just probably won't be a fellow idol since that's too much work and effort to keep up.

LOVE STORY

I'll just add a few things regarding how I think Yedarm will be in a relationship that you're free to use to help with forming his lovelife, if ever he'll have one in the story!
— As I said above, he won't be the type to do anything first, and will need something to spark an interest to date someone. He'll go with the flow and if he finds himself liking you, then that's about it. He won't think too deeply about it.
— Definitely not the clingy type and would prefer to keep his alone time, but wouldn't mind spending time with the other if you ask, as long as it doesn't take up too much of his time.
— School will go before the relationship. Idol life / training will too, but Idk if it'll matter if they're both idols anyway.
— Doesn't respond to texts / messages quickly and would actually prefer calls since it's less hassle compared to typing everything down.
— Whoever he's with has to be Yechan-approved, which isn't that hard since Yechan's a nice guy and can be bribed with sweets.
— Surprisingly sweet, but not overly so, he'll be okay with holding hands and hugs as long as it's not to the extent of PDA. He would never do anything to purposely hurt the other person, but he's pretty dense to emotion and wouldn't be able to tell if he already is doing something that's hurtful. He'll compliment you if you ask, he'll do nice things if you ask, but would rarely have the initiative to do these things himself.
— No empathy whatsoever. Think of yourself in the other person's shoes? What's that? What does that mean?
— Arguements that involve changing his way of thinking or lifestyle will end with nothing happening. He'll apologize if that'll stop the fight, but you won't feel like you've won.
— Go big or go home. He'll give his all for special events and loves surprises, whether towards the other person or for himself. He's not the "small things" type of guy though, so don't expect that from him. He doesn't care what he receives from the other person though as long as it's practical, he'll be happy with anything that isn't something he actively dislikes.
— Right, that's another big thing. He's practical to a fault. All the dates will be calculated according to how much you get your money's worth. If you order something that should be cheap at an expensive price, he'll complain.
— Weak for aegyo and other cute actions, but won't admit it, although he'll easily tell you if he finds you cute.
— He's aual, but isn't disgusted by the idea of it, he just doesn't crave for it nor does he crave for physical touch of any sort. He's very very very low maintenance.
— Loyal to a fault once he's made up his mind that you're the one he'll be dating. He'd only break up with you if you either:
A. Hurt or insult Yechan. He can take insults to his own character, but bring his twin into it and you're in dangerous territory.
B.  Cheat on him, since that's not someting he'll do as well and it's a general moral value that he upholds.
C.  Fight him to the point of making up things against him. He'll accept criticism and insults if there's basis for it, but if you literally fight him for something out of nothing, he's not having it.

꿈꾸는 마음으로

PLOTLINE : Capricorn
STAGE NAME & PERSONA : Yedarm & Cold Country Guy, a play on the usual "cold city guy" since he's technically from Busan originally despite living overseas and in Seoul.
POSITION : Lead rapper, sub-vocalist

TRAINEE YEARS : 2014-2015
TRAINEE LIFE

— Literally the hardest thing about being a trainee was that he couldn't see his twin brother often except in school, but even then, they didn't take the same classes. They didn't really have time to hang out outside of school either, since he often went straight to training after class and had to live in the dorms. Other than that, things were fine. It was just another thing he decided to commit himself to and something he'll see to the end. He worked hard in all aspects of training: singing, dancing, and rap. Although he ended up focusing on rap, he still gives his all for the other two and would like to think he could sing pretty well since that was his original talent anyway. School never got in the way of training and training never got in the way of school, which was something he made to do and included sacrificing time for his other interests.
— He did his best to gain friends as a trainee and was successful to an extent, since he could amp up the charm or talk about things if he really decided to put his effort in anyway. Still, his usual cold demeanour and blunt attitude often didn't sit with people very well, but it would usually be ignored since he was still fun to talk to when he was in the mood. People he ended up being friends with eventually knew he was kinder than he appeared to be, he just didn't think he had to actively get people to like him and be fake about it, that's all. He's hardworking, but not exactly competitive, so he never saw anyone as his rival.

SCANDALS (OPTIONAL)

— None I can think of at the moment, since I don't think Yedarm would risk anything that Yechan won't approve of.

LIFE IN COSMIC BOY :

— Yedarm's glad he's going to debut and all, but listen: thirteen boys just meant twelve people he had to put up with, and also learn to put up with him. He knows his attitude can cause problems if he doesn't tame it and if he isn't careful, and he just didn't want to walk on eggshells all the time since he wasn't sure how sensitive these guys are. Not to mention, more members meant less screentime and lines. He didn't work this hard to debut and only get 1.7 seconds of a song, although eventually this train of thought mellowed down to just being glad he got to debut at all and that 1.7 seconds is better than nothing. It's not enough, but it's better. As long as the lines are distributed to whoever really deserves it, then he's fine. But if he so much as sees the member who can't sing / dance / rap as well as the others get more parts just because he's handsome, he'll definitely complain.
— His position is fine, to an extent, since the group has a lot of members and all. Again, he would want more lines, but figured he'll have the chance if ever they do a more hiphop based concept. He's a little bit iffy about having his rapping skills compared to the other rappers in the group though, and again, would hate it if the guy who got the most rap lines just got it because he auditioned his face and barely trained his skills.
— When he first heard his supposed debut track, he pretty much froze and had to ask if they were sure this song was for him. He's never been in a relationship and he's not even the type to even think about those sorts of stuff, he barely even has a lot of good social contact, so why was he given a love song? Especially one that was just so cheesy (pun intended) and talked about kisses and holding hands. He wanted to rap about something more substantial. His persona was supposed to be the cold guy too to match his features, so the song just didn't match. Still, as with all the things assigned to him, he accepted it and did his part, and did it well. He'll just show his true colours some other time. Too bad that wasn't the end.
— Apparently, the company wanted him to act sweet and kind to the fans, which he could do, but he doubted it would be convincing. He'll have to make it convincing. Fans would love the whole concept of the cold looking Capricorn guy throwing a smirk, a smile, a heart, or doing something "warm" and against his supposed image / persona, basically being the opposite of what they'd expect, while still keeping up the cool boy charm. It'll look cute, they said. They'll expect a cold hearted man and end up falling for your subtle sweet acts, they said. Yedarm figured he could do it for the fans and only for the fans, although he still inwardly cringed every time he had to act that way. He could feel the other members judging him everytime he so much as smiled a little too brightly, too.
— The pressure is nothing to Yedarm, since he knew what he put up with when he auditioned and got in to begin with. He wanted the constant push and drive to do more and be more, even if he didn't agree to everything he had to do. He'll want to do everything perfectly though, which may also end up being his breaking point. He'll eventually reach a phase where it's like anything he does isn't enough, or that he should be doing even more even if he can't take it anymore, because he thinks he can and so he will. His most crucial point would be realizing that he no longer had time for his family and Yechan in particular due to how much he had to strive for to even be in the group, but he won't bring himself to leave the group since quitting isn't in his vocabulary. Eventually, he'll have to learn to balance his time better to be able to cover all aspects of his life.
— Yedarm is a naturally neutral boy who just doesn't give a damn. Even if other people badmouth another person, if that isn't what he thinks, then he'll ignore it. It's only his own thoughts (and maybe Yechan's) that matters to him. Drama that doesn't involve him isn't worth his time. and he sees no point meddling where he isn't needed or trying to stop it or help. If you want him to give his opinion, he would do so without hesitating, but to actually do something about what's happening isn't likely. Most of the time he wouldn't have an opinion anyway especially if it's something he just doesn't care about. Trying to get him to see the wrong in what he did, but he doesn't think so? Good luck. Drama that doesn't affect him negatively, meaning even if he's involved but he's not suffering from it, also isn't worth his time and you probably won't get him to do anything substantial in the drama if he feels like he didn't do anything wrong anyway. If he has to involve himself, he'll see things logically and rationally, emotions be damned.

COMMENTS : I love Yoo Taeyang with all my heart and soul. Anyway, I hope I did everything properly and if there's anything I should edit or change or add, for those that I didn't write anything for, then please let me know and I'll do my best to fill stuff in. I hope I got the Capricorn-ESTJ boy correctly, I based a lot of things on my friend who's also Capricorn-ESTJ for the sake of accuracy and figured it matches the plot as well,,,, I'm also a huge huge huge Carat so I love how Seventeen's the talent twins. I hope Yedarm was enjoyable to read about and good luck with the story!

SCENES REQUESTS

— Something negative happening involving or towards Yechan, maybe from one of the members and all hell breaks loose courtesy of Yedarm.
— It'll be fun to see Yedarm's argument "skills" in action! Like someone starts talking about his feelings and being hurt and Yedarm's just not going to apologize because he didn't do anything wrong, he doesn't control the other person's feelings. Or even if he does apologize, he'll apologize for hurting the other's feelings, but not for what he did, which will just end up infuriating the other person further as they try and explain that it was wrong.

Hi so this is a formal review, im sorry I didn't do these earlier! But with the story hoping to be reviewed i thought it was high-time to properly review Yedarm.

Can I just say I LOVE the color aesthetic to this app, love it.

So firstly is Darm a korean character? Or would it be Dam (담). But that is not much so an issue but just a question. Other than that all of the basics are very good (excited for twin Yechan obvi XD).
I freaking loooooovveeeeee how Yedarm is like the guy who doesn't care but as soon as you're against him he goes spazzo, he's soooo political. Also lol Cold Country Guy is freaking creative! However I will need you to add a backup plotline!

Other than that i'm freaking lovin Yedarm!!!!!!! So just fix the things listed below and he'll be accepted.

Also Heeun is open to love int^^

Things to fix to be accepted
-Adding a back-up plotline
