Thoughts on The Unit B & G live stages

UNB (Unit B)

Lead Me - The original lineup for lead me was Euijin, Feeldog, Geon, Chan, Hojung, Dongmyung, Kijung, Daewon, and Marco. 7/9 of these fellas made it into the debut group named UNB so the song wasn't drastically different. Before the announcement of the final contenders, I was ready to be super butthurt if Geon didn't make it, but honestly...Jun did such a good job taking over Geon. Hansol too, he replaces Dongmyung so well and I loved his and Kijung's moment <3 Lead me is my favorite song between the two male songs and it places second overall for me, between all four songs.

Dancing with the Devil - Now, from the debut team, only Jun and Hansol were originally part of "Dancing with the Devil (Seyong)" team. The song is very different. I love Hojung but I prefer Seyong. I love Kijung but Donghyun's vocals made the song even better. I was never truly a fan of Donghyun's vocals. Even when I was following Boyfriend, I always questioned why he was the lead vocal. This song made me realize why. Chan is great but Jeup slayed. Euijin is good, too, but Suwoong is just a better intro. I wouldn't say I was disappointed. I just got to get used to it. Dancing with the Devil, after the changes, it places last out of all four songs for me.

UNI.T (Unit G)

You & I - My favorite song. The official girl group was pretty evenly split. Five from You & I and four from Ting. The live performance wasn't too different. I mean what do you expect from Jiwon who can pull off just any genres and concepts. Suji and ZN as well. You & I took a more mature turn and luckily Hyunjoo did well adjusting to that coming from cutesy concepts.

Ting - As much as I love Euna Kim, Woohee's softer raps fit Ting more. So I don't miss Euna as much. And of course, Euijin, Yoonjo, NC.A, and Yebin slayed Ting too. Ting places third for me overall :D

I loved watching The Unit. It was eye-opening to some great groups and artists, but was also heartbreaking. I love Seyong, Donghyun, Rockhyun and Suwoong, and was very sad when none of them made it in. All three of their groups desperately need the attention The Unit debut would have pulled to their groups. I hope they can still gain some attention and thrive now. It was also great to see Jiwon again, since I loved Spica and she really needs more attention. I also hope Matilda will thrive now, even though I didn't know anything about them before now. I really hope The Unit is just as great as Wanna One, if not bigger, having ALL former idols in it. Of all of the contestants, my biases that are debuting are: Daewon, Feeldog, Hojung, Woohee, (G) Euijin and Jiwon. I live them all♡. My bias throughout the entire show was Seyong, though. I love that man...
