"Trust is such a naive thing"
Since her early days she figured out that the only one you can fully trust is yourself. She had been such a stupid child to believe that people would actually help her and learned the hard way. During her human life she believed in hope and kindness, but that never brought her far. The moment she turned she realised, that she is now completly alone and has noone to help her anymore. Until today, unlike most vampires, she never joined a clan. First of all she didn't want to and second they see her as an enemy aswell. They believe in rules and not killing mundanes, so their views kind of don't match.

"I am my own master."
She is a loner and gives a damn about rules. She does what she wants and doesn't care how many people she has to kill to get it. There are no feelings of guilt or compassion left in her body, they all drained along with her human blood. She creates turmoil wherever she goes and has alot of troubles with law keepers, since she really doesn't care if mundanes know about Vampires. But even though they hunt her, they really don't know who or what she is. She enjoyes chaos with every dead cell of her body.

"I'm an ancient vampire. Be smarter than to test me."
She lived a very long time compared to other vampires and given her lifestyle and personality it really is a miracle that noone has given humankind (more like all species) the gift of her death. She is highly intelligent and sly and uses her experience to get away in any bad situation. 

"What were the chances.. and yet I fed on him."
She sees herself as invincible and chosen. Since she fed on a shadowhunter with more Angel blood than usual during her transition (her won husband who turned out to be a shadowhunter), she became a light walker and basically that was what made her so daring. She saw it as a gift and felt like she was above everyone else. Her husband was also the first vampire she turned. Accidently, nevertheless, since she had no idea what she was doing.

Sojin was born as the third daughter of King Yeonjo in 1727. She had a very pleasant childhood and was the favourite daughter of her father. She was a happy child, with no worries and had always been nice to everyone. She married with 15 and moved to her in-laws house. At the age of 28, when she was almost ready to give birth to her unborn child, she heard that her brother was unhealthy and was in schock to what her brother had become. He was completly insane,  beating up eunuchs,  assulting and maidens. He was completly furious. One night, when Sojin tried to talk to him alone in his chamber, she saw how he was looking at her very weirdly.

"Nunim, it's so convinient for you to come here. Did the King really allow you to visit me? Alone?" he laughed weirdly and and Sojin gulped down her salvia before speaking. "I came without anyone knowing. I'm worried about you. You were such a lovely child, and now, look at you." He raised from his position and started moving around the room. "See, that is the problem. I was lovely. And what did I gain from it? Nothing. But what do you know, father adores you. Like this, I'm finally who I am destined to be." He turned around and Sojin saw how his eyes became red. He suddenly vanished and all she rememberes was that he was suddenly next to her and a pain in her neck. 

She woke up in pain and saw people running around. Blood, why was there so much blood on her body. "We're losing her, do something about it. We're losing them both. At least save one of them. ", she heard her mother scream from far away, that was when she lost concsiousness. 

She smelled dirt. Dirt and mold. She heard some animal crawling around next to her ears and intantly opened her eyes. She needed only a second to adapt to the darkness and reaised she was in some kind of wooden box. "What happened?", she tried to  grasp the situation but everything did not make sense. "HELP. HELP! IS THERE SOMEONE?", she knocked against the box and broke it. Shocked she looked at the broken wood and felt scared immediatly. She pushed it even more and finally felt somthing behind it "Dirt?", she asked herself in disbelieve. She dug her finger into the dirt and began to shovel, until her hand reached the surface. A light of moolight came through to her and Sojin became more determind to climb out of whatever it was. The lase centimeters were done faster than she thought and with the last strenght she pulled herself out. She looked around and gasped at the side. She was at a graveyard. And this was her tomb. Did everyone believe she is dead? What happened?

After that she was confused and decided to walk back to her house. She met her husband and he was confused but happy. She wanted to tell him everything, but suddenly a weird feeling kicked in, as she felt the urge to drink his blood. Her confused mind shadowed her rationality and so she out. When she woke up, her husband was dead, and  she was covered in his blood. Flooded with guilt and self hatred, she buried him in the yard and moved to the  palace to find someone that could help her. Not blood wise, but like tell her what the hell is going on. She sneeked into the palace through the back wall and found her mother at her favourite spot. But as happy as she was, that her daughter survived, after she told her what she had done, her mother moved back from her. Sojin saw fear in her eyes, hatred and dissapointment. "Leave this place, you monster. You're not my daughter. My daughter died. We don't need you here. Leave and never come back." 

Hurt at the words of her mother, she decided to never trust anyone anymore. She would live alone, cause she was the only one she could fully understand and count on.

At the present she lives in Seoul and keeps a low profile. Well, she still hunts Mundanes.  They are still on the look for whatever kills so many mundanes and even survived that long. Nowadays they feel like it's a Vampire, but noone ever saw her during the act or else. Espeacially since she is a Daywalker, she is harder to catch than anyone since she seems like a mundane. She lives her own lifestyle, but in a more classy way. Thinking before doing stuff. 

After her Husband cracks her, she'll often help the institute in order to "pay for her sins".

A - "I don't really care about any others than me, so why are you bugging me with such boring questions. See that's the problem with you guys. Focussing on the unimportant stuff."

Woohyun is a one of those quiet observers who rather stay in the back and watch that everyone has what they need. He likes to care and protect people and genuinely believes in his doings. He is easy to get along with and even though shadowhunters and werewolves don't like general vampires, they kind of seem to accept and like him. He's different, he never explodes and rather contributes an aura of calmness around people. He is patient and loyal, always helping where he can.

But on the other hand his habits of being so nice will often lead people to missuse him, plus he will put his needs way back and suffer from it. Even though he is funny, friendly and jokes around alot, when you first meet him he is rather shy and introverted. If he has a goal he will not wait until he reached it, and he wants to do it perfectly. 

In his free time he is a little big competitive and likes to see a competition in everything (for fun usually) and would it be who will be at a certain pace first and so on. 

Before turning into a vampire he was actually a little scared of the darkness, so after his transformation he had some issues with dealing with the night. He still isn't so fond of it, but he's better now.

He believes in rules and would never do anything against them. Even if someone he loves does it. The situation with Sojin hurts him so much, since he knows she must be punished for what she did. He doesn't want people be executed or tortured for their crime, but a fair and sqare punishment. 

He loves rain. He always did. And the day he was turned and completely scared and confused it suddenly began to rain. He found comfort in it and knew that he was going to be alright. He might be naive and childish for thinking that, but he believes that some greater energy sends rain always when he's sad to cheer him up. 

He believes in loving one person until the end. He swore his love to Sojin and will do everything to get her back on track. He wants to spend the rest of his life with Sojin.

Woohyun was born into a wealthy family. Their family were undercover shadowhunters and have been for some centuries now. They were one of the old families and well respected. All of them had more angelblood in them than normal shadowhunters, so they are highly appreciated in their realm. He had no issues whatsoever and had a wonderful childhood. With 17 he married Princess Hwapyeong aka Wang Sojin for political issues (the crown had no idea who they really were) but nevertheless he fell in love with Sojin at first sight. She was incredibly beautiful, intelligent and funny. They lived happily and when she became pregnant all his dreams came true. He had always been there for her when she had issues in the palast and was always supporting her from home. One day she went to the palast and when she didn't came back everyone was worried. He had simply gotten a note stating that she died out of "unknown reasons" and her baby along with her. He was devastated and mourned her at the funeral. Late that night she suddenly stood before him, alive but weirdly so different. He only remembered blackness and waking up in a coffin under the earth. 

So, the famous shadowhunter turned into a downworlder, his family shocked about this outcome. They tried to help him through the struggle, caring for their son, even though he was a downworlder now. They visited them from time to time and made sure he was doing okay. But immorality had it's side effects. You see all your beloved people die in front of you. His father died first, followed by his mother shortly after. His uncle and aunt died the year afterwards in an attack and all he had left was his cousin who married into the Cherrywain family. Later she dies aswell. 

Technically, the Cherrywains were bloodwise the only family he had left, but he never told them about it and also knew they wouldn't accept a downworlder in their family. And still, he had other family now. He soon became the head of a famous clan, which was attacked in 1890 by demons and most of them killed. From then on, he gave himself all the guilt of not being a good leader and was scared to lead the rest that survived. He left them to carry on by himself, moving to China for a while. He stayed there, making connections and fighting demons (and some nasty werewolves) and did practically a one man show.

After about a century, he came back and chose to bond with the other species to make the world saver against the demonattacks. Sure it was a strange idea and nerly everone claimed him to be mental, but he had this vision of a united force. No matter what you are, what you were or what you will become. We all have one goal. Life. We want to live, secure and without fear. He started to make friends with the institute and making a pact to help them whenever they needed a vampire. In return, they would keep an eye on the vampires and protect them if they needed help. He did the same with Haesoo, the oldest and one of the strongest warlocks he could find.

A - "I was born a shadowhunter, but turned into a vampire", I said and the dude gave me a weird look. Yeah, bro, me too. I didn't want this to happen either.

A - "Well, since I've been one I know their rules and their princples. I understand them and their way of thinking, but then.. I'm a vampire now. So I gott accept that.

Q - What do you think about Downworlders?
A - "I love my Vampire friends and also met quite some decent warlocks. Werewolves are the one's that I really don't like. But as long as they stay low and don't bother me, it's fine."
