— Mei is a very sweet and calm. She want to help everyone but currently she has her own problems. She cares a lot for Chèrie's members'. She's a girl that you can trust. She give a lot of advice but she never applies them to herself. She may be the most mature member as she's really wise but it doesn’t mean she can have a good laugh or make them laugh. It just that she give more place in variety shows to the other members and probably one of the funiest member in Chèrie.

Since the disbanding of I.O.I she became really preoccupied by something and the members notice but because she doesn’t want to talk about it they do nothing. Her problems are based on what a minority netizens says about her. The says thinks like that: she looks fake, that she was just I.O.I because of her looks and that she's not even beautiful made her really become self-conscious even though it's not even the majority who says that. People may thinks she doesn’t care because she looks like a tough girl in the outside (personality) but in the inside, she's definitely not, everything people says hurt her. 

When it doesn’t come to what she's preoccupied, Mei is really blunt. She will says what she thinks it may not what you want to heard but she's speaking the truth. She may be wise as hell but Mei is actually pretty obvious to what people think about her (except for netizens). Many people found her beautiful. — Mei was born in Shanghai, China and was raised in Beijing, China. She had an happy childhood buy she didn’t have the chance to meet someone really important, her father. He died before her birth. He died as an hero. He was an police officer. He was killed by thugs. Every year, her mom and her are going to pay their respect to him where's his buried. Her mom had a lot of help from his parents and hers,

Mei started dancing when she was 2 year old. Her mom decided to enrolled her in a dance class because Mei was always doing a cute dance when she was hearing music. In elementary school she was enrolled in Beijing Dance Academy. Her and mom moved to Beijing. She stayed at that school till she finished high school but in 2009 when she want to visit her grandparents in Shanghai, she was scooted by Pledis Entertainment in the streets when she started dancing in front of her mom. In that time she wasnt interested in Kpop but heard about it. Her mom thought it was a scam but they did some research together and saw that it was real. Her mom talked with Pledis and they decided that she would come to South Korean when she had long breaks and that she would officially come to South Korea when she finished high school. In 2014, she officially came to South Korea and was already used to the atmosphere.

— Her trainee life before coming officially to South Korea was a bit different than others because she wasn’t always there. She had difficulty being in groups. Each time she came to South Korea for a certain amount of time, it always was like she was a newcomer.
