shigeru is probably what you call, overly-responsible, and sometimes overbearing. having grown up in a crazy family like his, someone had to take charge, and that someone was shigeru. he's been watching over his siblings (and sometimes his parents when they get drunk) since he was old enough to cook for himself, so it's really become a part of him. cleaning? oh look he's already finished mopping the dorm five times and is starting on his sixth. what's today's schedule? shigeru already has it all written out and is relaying it to you now. he fusses over anyone and everyone really, regardless of their age. it doesn't matter if you're older or younger than him, he'll be worrying about you, and constantly checking on you to make sure you don't overwork yourself. i think this might cause the celestians, especially the younger ones to rely very heavily on him, and that may add a lot of pressure on him, but he takes it in his stride. it makes him feel needed and useful.

despite this, he's still very needy himself, especially for physcial affection. you can probably find him draped over someone as they work on their lyrics, or homework, or cuddling with koma, who is also very needy. he'll love you forever if you cuddle him, i'm serious. the only time he won't cuddle you is if you make him angry, which is very uncommon, because he is forever zen. he once got angry at koma for stealing his meat though. he didn't cuddle the critter for a solid 20 minutes before he gave in to those large and sparkly anime eyes. oh i should mention, it's probably really easy to get shigeru to do anything for you, because one, he loves you and two, he trusts you won't make him do anything crazy. usually number two is wrong because having someone like ryu yeonjin around, every day is a crazy day packed with shennenigans. he's a little resigned to the fact that he'll always have to save her, but doesn't particularly mind anymore.

nonetheless, this big teddy has the biggest and purest heart. i'm trusting you not to break it.

「 the watanabe fam 」 watanabe shunji, naomi, shota, nao, shuichi, natsumi :: 55, 54, 25, 18, 13, 13 :: beer brewers :: insanely crazy and affectionate, all of them :: the watanabe family? they're a rambunctious bunch, is what all their associates and neighbours would tell you. they work hard, and play even harder. the fam is incredibly suppportive of each other, and definitely throw the wildest new year's party. papa and mama watanabe are really chill people, and always encourage their kids to pursue what they truly love, and don't expect any of them to take over the brewery. shota, despite being the eldest brother is an airhead, and is still 'finding his way' but loves his fam a lot, so he stays back to watch the kids and learn the helms of the beer business. shigeru is the real older brother, really, being the most responsible and calm. nao is independent and clever, so she's planning to go study in tokyo once she graduates highschool in hokkaido. the parents support that. twins shuichi and natsumi are the life of the party, with endless amounts of energy. they're little troublemakers, who the fam always has to bail out. they once broke the largest barrel in the brewery and drenched a customer. we do not speak of that incident. in a nutshell, the fam is a crazy but still chill mess. oh, and they're all fantastic drinkers, yes, even the twins. the parents are too chill.

being the first and only trainee at milky way was hard for shigeru, because he was lonely, very lonely. and also because all the attention was on him for a while. he was really afraid of the power trio in the beginning, but warmed up to everyone after a while, especially yoi, the street magician who liked to perform her tricks to his music. it was a bit dull for shigeru, but it all got better after yeonjin came into the company, and he found himself getting into a lot of trouble with her, but, it was okay, because he found himself having fun. at least michiyo doesn't kill them for leaving footprints on the walls. shigeru felt even better as more trainees came along, because it meant that they would finally be able to move along with debut plans, and since he's been there the longest, he was already guaranteed a debut, so he wasn't too worried. after that he started focusing on helping other trainees improve, and somehow ended up becoming everyone's mom.
