Both of my reptiles are officially men. Why?

I have now seen both of their...appendages. You see, male monitor lizards tend to show their...stuff...when they poop, so I've known about Legato for a long time. My turtle has always had an affair with one of the rocks in his aquarium, but now...I wish I could bleach my eyes. That almost got his extra appendage stuck under that rock and I'm officially grossed out. 

Thankfully, seeing their private parts is a rare occurence, seeing as I've been roommates with my turtle for over two years, and this is the first time that I've seen anything from his...urge to reproduce. And I usually don't watch my lizard take dumps.

I have officially seen more of them than I wanted to see. Still love them. It's gross,  but they're my reptile children.
