Happy 2017/Sad 2017

Some of my friends were looking back on 2017, so I decided to look back at the happy times and sad times of 2017. This is what I came up with:

I went to my three classes: English Composition II, Document Production III, and Executive Machine Transcription. I passed all of them between an A - C. So, I'm happy.

Nothing exciting happened between February to March.

On April 6th, I celebrated my 40th birthday. We celebrated my mom's 7th Anniversary at being cancer free. We celebrated my mom's 70th birthday.

Wanted to go on vacation in June, but had to deal with school and my new job at Sears Outlet at a different store. My first Sears Outlet closed around Father's Day 2017. Which is uncanny because the Kohl's store that I was working for prior, closed on Father's Day 2016.

In August, I started my two classes: Environmental Geology and Principles of Sociology. I passed Geology with a B but didn't pass Sociology. Which means that it will take me longer to graduate this stupid college.

In October, I am now a full year working at Sears Outlet at the new store. I'm happy to be a full year. Sadly, in October my favorite American group: Linkin Park were hit with a tragedy when their lead singer Chester Bennington committed suicide. He was my bias in Linkin Park. I don't know what is going to happen with Linkin Park. It won't be the same without Chester.

Nothing happened in November.

In December, I was able to look up ALL my friends from Kohl's and Sears Outlet. We were able to stay in touch, and one of my friends from Kohl's, who is full Korean, sent me a mug with BTS on it. I was surprised she has gotten it for me. She has seen how many times I talked about BTS or mentioned who my bias is in BTS. I'll have to post some pictures of the mug.

Also, in December SHINee was hit with a tragedy when Kim Jonghyun committed suicide. At first, I thought it was a joke when I saw it on AFF, but then when I saw it ALL over the computer I realized. I am so sad because he was an awesome singer and I feel for all the Shawols. He wasn't my bias, but it's still so sad. He was so young. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and Shawols. I can't even imagine how painful Christmas is going to be for his family, as seeing it was close to Christmas.

In 2017, we also saw the sad disbandment of three awesome girl groups: Wonder Girls, 2NE1, and Miss A.

I'm hoping that 2018 will be a better year. We don't need any sadness in 2018.

Thanks,

Raven.

Yeah, there have been ups and downs this year, and I'm glad that your mom is doing better. That's wonderful!

The deaths this year were terrible, and I felt a big liss with Chester Bennington's death. He had been such a big inspiration to many around the world, and it was really sad. And with Jonghyun's death, I never saw it coming. I'm not a Shawol, but it was still very sad, but hopefully a wake up call for Korea and the dangers of depression.

As far as the disbandment, I was sad about Wonder Girls, especially since they had a great song last year. I saw it coming with Miss A, though, so I wasn't terribly sad. And Spica...That one tore me up, since I loved them. Don't forget about the male group disbandments, too! History was really good, but never got the chance to shine, and there was also Legend, who tried so hard, but couldn't make it, thanks to their company's dishonesty. And M.I.B, too, and especially 2AM! They deserved so much better! Then there's also the readjusting of Teen Top and Infinite, with members leaving. I am really hoping that Infinite will have their comeback on time, as they are planning on Jan. 8th, but there will still be a sad void with Hoya gone.

And don't forget all the great debuts and comebacks this year! There have been so many and I am happy with that♡. So it's been a year of mixed emotions, with sadness and great things, and next year will hopefully be great!
