think of rachel green(from friends)'s former life; blessed with rich parents and a comfortable childhood with no true expectations besides getting married to a good family, she's rather insensitive to other people's feelings in a really naive way. being sheltered comes with her assuming that everyone lives an easy life as she has, so she complains to others about very small complications in her life. she has a good heart but she just doesn't know how to use it properly (think of it as how rich characters never seem to let go of their money until they find the right person who makes them forget about their money-cushion). she is very sociable, however, many often mistake her eagerness to converse with others with being fake and shallow (they think that maybe she's just talking to them to get something out of them, since her family is extremely rich). she's a little bit of a when it comes to borrowing her things though, and she gets easily irritated when things don't go her way.

background. she grew up in a nice five bedroom house with parents who were doctors (her mom is a pediatrican and her dad is a surgeon). she grew up really comfortably, and since she was an only child, she was showered in gifts and very low expectations. her parents were always working overtime and her nannies never really cared for what she would do, so she started her party habits early at the age of sixteen. she spends her parents' money carelessly on alcohol and outfits to wear to the social events, and when she (somehow) graduated her high school, her parents sent her to university in seoul to "cultivate her mind and become as successful as them." they expect her to marry a guy from a nice family that will be able to support her. though they love their daughter, they put chasoo on a 1K allowance per month, hence why she needs a cheap place to stay due to her tendencies of blowing money on her multiple routines, going out with friends, tutors that will eventually do her homework for her, and clothes. she has a pretty unimportant background. due to these circumstances, she never really gets to figure out what she really wants to do with her life, and sometimes she can't help but wonder if there's ever anything more for her than shopping and clubbing.
life outside the house. in the morning, she heads to her classes at the university of seoul, mainly to flaunt her outfits and sleep in class. she also enjoys stopping by cafes and reading the random magazines they let their customers borrow because nothing really interests her more than old fashion and foreign models that wear way too much makeup. if she's not in class or reading magazines, she's getting beauty sleep in preparation of going out at night, she's meeting up with her friends to karaoke or shop or try out a new tea shop, or she's making calls to have people pick up her laundry and do her chores. at night, if she's not out drinking with friends, she stays in the house, looking for someone to talk to or she simply just goes to sleep. at first, she asks all her housemates really bizzare questions like "what is this? a whisk? what do you use it for?" but then she gets more comfortable with them and she begins to play board games, video games, bake, cook, and just have general conversations with them. she's not good at any of those activities, but she learns to have fun anyways.
relationships. ryan kim (23) - a guy who her parents are trying to set her up with. his name is english because he was born and raised in los angeles before he moved to korea when he was 18. she considers him for her parents, but she soon realized that she doesn't have much in common with him and that she'll never be able to love him and his arrogant personality. he's rude and he enjoys speaking english over korean, so they both get frustrated at each other over the language "barrier".
hwang seoyoung (21) - chasoo's closest friend, however, readers soon begin to realize that their relationship is quite artificial. seoyoung is somewhat obnoxious and doesn't really take feelings into consideration. she loves to gossip and talk behind people's backs. chasoo realizes this after she grows closer to her housemates and she starts to distance herself from seoyoung.
(a housemate with a rather positive personality) - this is who she learns how to live her life from. he/she helps chasoo learn that partying isn't all that great when she can have meaningful conversations and do fun, in house activities sober and still remember the good memories in the morning. they help her realize that she needs to break out of her systematic "rich-girl" life and enjoy the rewarding hardships of the "real world".
(a housemate who is a dandere [google it jsy!]) - if author wants to incorporate this plot line and if there's a character like this, i think this would be the perfect love interest for chasoo. someone who is quiet and willing to listen to her, but once chasoo breaks him out of his shell, he'll talk to her and show her a side of him he has never shown anyone else. it's like an "opposites attract" kind of thing.

hey. i'm kang gyuho. i assume you're here because, like me, you're desperate for a cheap place to stay. please correct me if i'm wrong. hey! i'm lee chasoo, and (laughs), you're not wrong! i'm running prettyyyy low on money this month so... i can't risk getting debt over scandalous things like rent
oh, okay. about what time do you wake up? and what time would you say you'd go to bed? asdfghj i promise i'm not being a creep- i'm just trying to see who'd be able to room with who, you know? like, early risers should be together, and night owls should be in the same room, you know? aaaand now i'm rambling. sorry. your answer, please?. (laughs again) you're sooo nervous for no reason! anyways, i wake up pretty late but i'll be knocked out regardless from all the drinking that i do so if you have to put me with a morning person, i probably won't even notice when they get up. i get back pretty late, so i guess you can call me a night owl? i get back at around 3 or 4 am... maybe 2 am on a really good day.
do you have any rules in particular that you'd like to implement?. nope. i'm probably not going to be here that often soz.... well actually, can we put in a no-touching-other-people's-stuff rule? and if they're not foreign, can they try not speaking to me in other languages? because i really, really, really hate that!
on a scale of one to ten, with ten being "super duper", how desperate are you to stay here?. ten. defs a ten (laughs).
do you have any sleeping habits or even house habits, that should be noted?. uhhhhhh. welll.... i wont be home that often, i don't think. i just need a bed and space for all my stuff. i come back really late and i like to wear face masks a lot so i hope people don't get scared (laughs).

comments. i think this is a super fun idea! i've been watching friends lately and i really love these types of concepts where the audience gets a glimpse of everyone's stories. i was scrolling through all of the apps and i've noticed that there wasn't one that was a filthy-rich party animal yet, and i thought that a character like that would add a new, fun and different element to your story. i'd like to think of chasoo as a character that seems to like being a party animal, until she realizes that she can do so much more with her life so she begins to want to take charge of her life later on in the story.
scene suggestions. i'd like to see chasoo develop a newfound sense of responsibility in her life. maybe after she talks to some of her new roommates, she finds out that she likes them a little bit more than her other, rich and insensitive, friends and she slowly begins to go out less and less. now instead of seeing the house as somewhere she just sleeps in, she now thinks of it as her second home. i think this type of character develop would be really nice.
