Background (1-2 paragraphs) - As a child Diamond was diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder, which didn't help the fact that her mother was a battered wife and her father an abuser. She loved her mother dearly and watched as each year the beatings got worse. Her mother did nothing, only infuriating Diamond. It made her so angry that when she was 9 she tried to kill her father. It didn't work and it only put her in juvvy for three months, due to her mother's plea's not to take her away, and she promised it was just an accident. It was no accident. When she came home, the tables had turned for the worst. Her father had began drinking and her mother was hospitalized for internal bleeding, she didn't make it.

 Diamond stayed with her father, taking the drunken beatings. She didn't realize most of them were happening, when her father walked in smelling like cigarettes and beer, she would black out and smile through the whole thing. When her father was satisfied he'd leave her in her room, she'd wake up and barely be able to walk. All she could remember was fighting different mythical animals in whole other worlds. When she was 16, the dreams took over her world. She thought she was killing a ravenous werewolf in a dark forest, in reality though she brutally murdered her father and nailed him to a tree. Since she's been taken away the second world only shows it's ugly head when her anger brings back past memories.
