FTM or MTF? I think it depends on individual. However before anything , you must first gain lots of knowledge and information about the process of transitioning . You need to be very sure that you are not going to regret it later on. You need to think about the cost of operations , side effects , is it legal or not in where you are , need think about your family's reaction and acceptance , social and society as well not to mention your job ... It's a very complicated process unless if you're living in a super accepting environment that provide full support and equal rights. In short , talk to people who have experience it before . Ask questions ... You need to really think about it many times before you finalize any decisions.
