A story I am considering to make, but am conflicted with whether I should do it or not. Basically it shall be a high school /college au following the show choir club. They used to be the best of the best, but as years went by, has become one of the worst. Enter several students who want to return its legacy to what it once was before. Yes, I have always liked movies/series like Glee, High School Musical, Camp Rock, etc. And this is also heavily inspired by the anime Haikyuu, if anyone knows it? 

 

Crescendity is the name of the club which stands for Crescendo (a gradual increase in loudness/intensity) and Serenity (state of being calm). Which is suposed to mean that they are a group that can cover a wide array of songs and amotions, showing constant growth in their progress. (I think that's what it was suposed to mean, I never actually wrote it down when I thought of the name months ago)

Genre: Romcom, Slice of Life, Friendship, Drama, Inspirational, Everything in between

001 ♡ I like to write characters as close as possible to the real people. So answer this the way you would answer it.
002 ♡ Not everyone will have equal screentime. It depends on how many ideas I could get based on what you write.

PERSONALITY ♡

Jihye is cheerful and friendly but is always misunderstood to be very intimidating due to her cold look when she's not smiling (a.k.a resting face). She smiles a lot tho. Growing up with social anxiety, it was quite hard for her to talk to those she just met. But has overcome it now and she is able to talk to strangers without sweating or shaking.

You can't really hide something from her or maybe, I don't know, plan a surprise party for her because she would notice it real fast. No fun Jihye. She doesn't know how to lie but keeps other's secrets sealed. She is very independent and can do almost everything by herself without other's help. Although that, she loves to help others. Very loyal to almost everything, be it a person or things. If she loves this one thing, it'll take quite some time for her to get used to another one. 

Very competitive to the point it pressures her a lot. Jihye is a good listener and very open-minded, but very whiny. She never likes the idea of sarcasm. She also gets down and sad easily; very sensitive. Very affectionate and clingy to the one she loves. VERY touchy and likes PDAs but dislikes to see others do PDAs (lol). Very honest and dislikes to beat around the bush; prefer to be straightforward. 

Try and hurt the ones she loves, she'll haunt you for the rest of her life. Once you crushed her trust on you, she will get revengeful at some point and would want you to feel what she feels. Has difficulities to trust people. Quite possessive at something or someone she loves and cares. She would stare you to death if you're suddenly become close with someone she's close with.

Apart from Jongdae's advice, Sehun is also the one who tried to encourage her to go against her parents' disagreements of her interest in studying Music. He was lowkey disappointed when Jihye decided to follow her parents' decision and study Language & Literature instead of Music. Again, not giving up, he encouraged her to take Music as minor subject which she agreed to. He's studying Performing Arts in Dancing.

A new transfer student who turns out to be Jihye's childhood neighbor whom she had a crush on as a child. After he had to move out to Bucheon, Jihye gave up on liking him and has already moved on. Although she doesn't have any special feelings left for him, it is Baekhyun who has a crush on her now. Even though he understands well that Jihye has a boyfriend, he still wants to try to win her back. Majoring in Fine Arts.

PAST ♡ Being the only one among her siblings with good grades, her parents are fully against her interest in studying Music, which as they claimed, won't bring you anything good in the future. Not trying to give in, she begged her parents to, at least, let her take Music as minor subjects. Knowing how their daughter loves singing and music in general, they let her do anything she pleases except that she has to take Language & Literature as her major, which, thankfully, is her interest too.

Drama as it is a mandatory to join once you signed up for the subject. And also, fashion.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO JOIN SHOW CHOIR? ♡
Jongdae has been bugging me to join the show choir together so, I don't see why not.

HOW DO YOU THINK YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THE CLUB? ♡
I can probs design outfits for performances and competitions! And also, I can maybe help with songwritings with my very cheesy quotes :--)

HOW GOOD IS YOUR MUSICALITY? ♡
Apart from singing, I really don't have any talents on playing any instruments, although I really wish I do. I don't think my mixings are good but hey, I can mix ;). One of my forte is doing harmonies and I can build up my own harmonies without having to listen to any guides. 

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU CAN MUSICALLY IMPROVE ON? ♡
Rapping, my goodness. I always sound like I'm blabbering but no, Jongdae hun, stop laughing, I'm trying my very best.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN SINGING/RAPPING? HAVE YOU HAD PROFESSIONAL TRAINING? ♡
As long as I can remember. Each of my family members actually have talents in music. Dad plays the guitar, mom could slay the organ piano, and my brother can hype up the mood in the club with his mad DJ skills. I've been exposed to the world of music since I was very small. I started making covers by the age of 12 on YouTube but had never receive any professional training as my parents thought it was a waste of time, money and energy.

HOW MUCH MUSICAL KNOWLEDGE DO YOU HAVE? ♡
I make covers as often as possible on YouTube but sadly, I don't know how to read notes :(. As explained above, I didn't get to receive any professional training. And that is why Jongdae's presence brought a whole new meaning as he helps me a lot with note reading and teaches me how to play the piano.

WHAT IS HIS PERSONALITY LIKE? ♡
— Selfless, cheerful, determined, affectionate, gentleman.
— Whiny (very), brutally honest (not to Jihye tho), loud.

"With kindness in every step, let's go through everyday happily". Just by reading his life motto, you can probably already can tell how he is as a person. He thinks of others before himself, which sometimes brings some negative points to himself. It's not surprising that Jihye calls him an angel in a human form. If you're wondering who would walk in the classroom singing his heart out at 8 in the morning, he is the one. He is very affectionate and a gentleman, or in another word, a boyfriend material. 

 

He is very loud. You can probably hear him laughing his off from across the room. Whenever he's jealous, he would pretty much whine. And when he whines, goodness, loud + whiny = loud whining. Honestly, only Jihye could stand his loud whining. His classmates would probably tell him to shut up and kick him out from the room. During serious moments of teaching his fellow juniors, Jongdae is very honest. Not the normal honest, he's brutally honest. Unfiltered raw comments and critism. Absolutely no sugar coated. 

 

Having a girlfriend who easily gets jealous, it would sometimes irks Jongdae on how she doesn't trust him like how he trusts her. But as someone who has a high level of patience, Jongdae would mostly be the one who gives in and shrugs the feeling away. But when it finally reached his limits, he would have a cold expression on his face the whole day and won't be talking to anyone or anything (no, not even Jihye).

WHY DID HE JOIN SHOW CHOIR? ♡
He loves music and would want to join anything that has relation to music. And he thought that it would be a good experience to join it with Jihye for them to create memories together as well as making new friends. 

HOW GOOD IS HIS MUSICALITY? ♡
Being exposed to music at such young age by his musically talented parents, Jongdae can do almost anything you expect him to. He plays the guitar, piano and also has some sick beatbox skills. He has plus point on acting while singing as you can see him laughing his off before singing and jump right in into his emotion as soon as he started singing. Since he's majoring in Contemporary Music Writing and Production, playing with musical softwares and gadgets are so familiar to him. 

HOW MUCH MUSICAL KNOWLEDGE DOES HE HAVE? ♡
God bless his parents, Jongdae's musical knowledge is as good as it can be. Just like Jihye, Jongdae can make his own harmonies and background vocals without any help of vocal guides and or examples.

He could slay off the high notes effortlessly. And also he could slay me off effortlessly too ;);)

FIRST MEETING TOGETHER? ♡
Jihye and Jongdae went to the same high school (along with Sehun) but wasn't even friends until their 3rd year where the two ended up in the same class. They got paired for the school's talent show and began to feel a spark between them but couldn't find the perfect moment to confess to each other. On graduation day, Jongdae brought her to the practice room they used to use for practice for the talent show. As Jongdae reminds her of the moments they spent in the room, he asked her if she wanted to continue their journey together and enroll the same college with him. 

HOW IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP TOGETHER? ♡
A very healthy relationship. Both of them cares a lot about each other's mental health. They are always next to each other whenever one feels upset or about to breakdown. But, of course, under all those rainbows and sunshine, even a healthy relationship has its ups and downs. 

SCENE SUGGESTIONS ♡
—  A horribly lovey dovey scenes that would make the other students / choir members curl up into a ball and barfs (ok not that bad but rlly). 
— A fighting scene between the two: Jealous Jongdae is obviously uncomfortable at Baekhyun's sudden appearance into Jihye's life. Even after Jihye reassures him that she has absolutely no special feelings left for Baekhyun, Jongdae still doesn't like at how the new guy starts to bother his girl. Jongdae confronts him (in a slightly harsh way) that ended up with Baekhyun provoking him and they started to grab each other's collars. Jihye was disappointed that Jongdae could have done such things to her childhood friend. She claimed that Jongdae doesn't trust her but it is actually the same for Jongdae as Jihye was jealous every time female juniors are flirting with him, not realizing that both of them lack in trust on each other. 
— Following above scene, the two decides to be on a 'break' (not breaking up) to realize how it is to live without each other's presence. And from that, they learn what they lack and etc. Of course, the two ended back up together again. (ugh drama)
