An agreement

My phone rang around midnight. It was dad and he informed us that he was confined at the hospital due to heart palpitations and increased heart rate. Mom led us in prayer and after that, I uttered my own small prayer. In exchange for my dad's complete and fast recovery, I would give up something important.

You must be thinking that I'm insane for sacrificing something. But you see, my dad was already hospitalized two years ago because of a malignant tumor. We can't risk having his immune system lowered.

Our prayers were answered early this morning. His heart rate is back to normal. And he would be discharged from the hospital today.

Not only that. Even though his medical expenses is fully covered, my mom wanted to send him money but we don't have enough. Mom then told me to withdraw my stipend. I was hesitant because weeks ago, I emptied my account. And due to some problems in my enrolment, the allowance would obviously be delayed. I prayed for provision, for God to give me even just my stipend last January.

So I went to the atm machine and I checked the remaining balance in my card. Indeed, I don't have the Php15k (approx USD 352) .

Instead, I got four times the amount. My stipend from November to February was miraculously loaded into my account! Praise God!

Matthew 7:7 says, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

And so, it's time for me to pay up.

I would be on a writing hiatus ^^

My prayer wasn't specific so I don't know until when. He will tell me.

An agreement is an agreement.

On a side note, my unnie who got me into joining writing contests, suddenly popped up again in my chat.

Unnie: I read your story :)

Me: Huh?

Was it good enough?

Unnie: you should compile all your stories and make a book

She is a journalism major but her passion is music. Unnie has read both my originals and my fanfics, although I don't think she even recognized the characters in the latter to be artists xDDD [That's another topic for discussion xD Stay tuned for Keeper's fate on writing fanfics]

So long!

your unnie is right. your writing skills is a gift from God and you should not stop instead you should continue to spread that gift and make use of it (in a good way of course). if you need anything just say it here, maybe we can help you. remember don't push yourself too much dear! *hugs* ^^

I hope, your dad will stay healthy.

God provide, and answer prayers, sometimes, more than we asked.

We are the ones, who bargain with God, right?
But, to God, it is the heart that counts most.
He just wants to know, sometimes, what is more important for us.
That, He takes the first place in everything.

Like the story in the bible about the son, who will be sacrificed, is the father willing to do so. A test, but when, we are willing, He did not want the death of the son, but, instead, provided the sacrifice.

It is the heart, that God is looking at, and He knows your heart.

Writing, is his gift to you.
And, also, it is said in the bible, that a gift should be used.
