SARANGHAE his name is sarang. y'know what that means. why not be childish and add the -hae. everyone's thinking it, some just chooses to say it. those some are close to him so he doesn't react much (mainly bc they're not gonna stop either way). but to someone who's not, don't even try it. you have been warned. sarang doesn't hate it, but he doesn't like it either. his mother and close friends usually calls him this. though his mom loves to add -my in front of it. a lot of joking ensues with this nickname if not teasing then greasily affectionate to get what they want.
GRANDPA he's an old soul who loves listening to music that dates back to the 60's, classic vintage movies (eg. men prefer blondes), and doing old man activities (eg. playing chess). it doesn't help that he doesn't understand text talk or most slang (besides lit). though sarang personally believes he doesn't deserve to be called this since does things the youngings do ( yes he literally calls them that) sometimes. he's not lame, okay.

APPEARANCE um, he's not really seen as good looking or handsome by society, and their stupid terms, but still pulls girls (and guys ) somehow. sarang does have this weird charm about him. like, he's kind hot in a weird, unique kind of way. not to mention, he has tattoos, height(he's 186cm), and a nice muscular body. so that's a plus. he has been told his eyes are intimidating as hell. and honestly, there are a lot of people who avoid looking him in the eye. but it's whatever, he doesn't care much.and it doesn't even bother some (even if they have to gather the courage to approach him) so it's coo.
STYLE sarang dresses pretty laidback minus the occasional expensive peices of clothing that ends up on his body (cause he can afford it). he's always wearing rings on his fingers, and a bracelet or two on his wrist. normally stays in the darker color pallette because bright colored clothes give him headaches (actually bright colors in general give him a headache) with the exception of white. it seems plaid flannels are a thing of his. just as much as wearing mostly black to work. closet link here.

he's not really all that talkative (borderline traciturn) — normally a concise person but will oddly have long, deep talks with you sometimes — like he speaks hard but that's only when he's under the influence, feels like you need it, or depressed about something, which you really won't know bc what are emotions? — an insightful person (obviously) but doesn't show it off. like you won't know this until you have talked to him or he have seen his grades — chilling is a default setting of his — looks intimidating? yes. is intimidating?yes. occasionally and very selectively a sweetheart? yes. — purposely intimidates others but it's kind of used as a shield. it's his way of keeping others at an arms length until he decides they're worthy. though before it was just for protecting purposes as he did not want to go through what he did when he was in middle school (bullying). it's like another default setting — so just know he doesn't let others into his space or reveal much about himself — if you can look and get past that you're most likely to become his friend — he cherishes people close to him even if he doesn't tell him — an action speaks louder than words kind of guy — highly, and i mean highly, watered down emotions — can get sarcastic from time to time. it's usually when the stupidity around him is at a high level — he's an old soul who rarely ever uses slang so refrain from all that text talk — the background type, sarang honestly hates having the attention on him or being the center but it's not because he's shy or anything — definitely someone reliable, he always get's the work done so he can be counted on if you need something —

considering sarang has been drawing things his whole like ( whether it doodles or full detailed people ) it isn't much of a surprise to his family when he picks fine arts as his major, mainly working in the visual arts (painting+drawing) and sequential art department, when it comes time for college.
he's on a full scholarship, that he applied for, because he doesn't want his parents spending their money on him even now that's he's an adult. even if they can afford it. sarang's reason being that he doesn't want to reply on them for everything and wants to start from the bottom like they once did. of course, if he's in a huge pickle, he would seek them out.
in first three years he lived in dorms but he now that he's in his last year it's about time he starts looking for apartments.
his schedule isn't all that hectic but he does receive a lot of assignments.
mondays and wednesdays are taken by his classes. sarang usually gets done by 6 in the afternoon. in between classes he goes and have lunch, or something, with taeyong. some of his nights (even school nights) are taken by work. he, and some others (they're like a party/event making team) plans parties for the campus ,frats or staff who needs them. sometimes the clients they get are outside of the school. his tues and thurs are usually free, unless he's painting or drawing or something. but that's no more than 3 hours (depending on what he's creating).
during that time he also calls his mom. she's pretty busy, along with his dad, so he lives voicemails or a text when they don't pick up.
THINGS ABOUT SARANG
001. there's a lot of his peers (who don't know him well that thinks that he's either in a gang or sells drugs because he shows up wearing expensive brands. " there's no way he's not! look at him. do think the son of someone rich would have a son that looks like that?!" is basically why others don't assume he's the son of some wealthy person. it's annoying, but along as they don't say that bull in front of him, he doesn't really care.
002. he's actually not a drug dealer, or a gang leader, anyone who's close to him knows that. actually, sarang is the son of someone wealthy. his father is an author (who's books are often turned into movies. indie type movies that's get's big on the interet. instead of movie theraters) while his mother is a director. his grandparents were both former surgeons.
003. he simply likes art. tattoos are a form of art to him. it started out as simple curiosity but then he started finding himself getting more tattoos. as for his looks, well, he can't change that s. it's not like he chose "to look like that".
004. he manages his money well. all of the jewelry and brand clothing he wears is from his relatives, grandparents, and parents, and are all relatively old. even his car ( a nice 2015 kia k900 silver ) was given to him by his cousin. only thing he really spends his money on is art supplies, food, and rent.
005. he loves old vintage movies or just older classics. he enjoys reading novels or classic graphic novels from the 70's - now. and plays chess though it's mostly just by himself.
006. wants to become either a graphic novelist or an illustrator. his favorite authors are will eisner and alan moore
007. he's graduating soon and needs to find a place to stay now so he won't stress himself out with trying to after he graduates. the apartments he looked at so far are either sketchy with cheap rent or decent looking with high rent. he's not going to go back home since he wants to do things on his own and doesn't want to ask him parents for help. they started from the bottom, so he will too.
008. does in fact drink. because college life is stressful okay. life is stressful okay. sometimes he does it alone, other times he's at a party (he's hosting).
009. doesn't go to parties unless he's helping host/plan it. like he won't actively seek one out.
010. has never dated anyone but has slept around (with protection). he's not opposed to dating he just has to find the right person. (he's a proud panual btw)
