dayeon is an incredibly friendly girl and adaptable to anyone, which is probably why she has so many friends. she looks very approachable by the smile that's always on her face and whenever anyone talks about her, they always talk about how she's interesting and exciting, so many people like to approach her, and are taken aback with how friendly she is. she talks very fast, admittedly, but she's a good person with an equal amount of goodness in her heart, so it's not weird for her to have a lot of friends. dayeon is also very observant and she likes to believe that there are reasons behind everyone's movements and such. she observes her friends' behaviors and is always curious about how people act, but her friends like hearing her observations about them, so they don't mind. if it were a surprise at all, dayeon is incredibly energetic. she can't sit still for even a second and always has to be moving, which is probably why she gets in trouble in class sometimes, but she can't help it. there's so many things that she wants to do, and sitting won't help, or so dayeon believes. 

because of her naturally fast-paced nature, dayeon hates taking time to do things and is very impatient. she wants to be fast with everything she does, which is probably an innate reaction to everyone telling her to do things faster, but dayeon always has to be fast, or then she goes crazy. she's also pretty inattentive at times, and is easily distracted. you could be talking to her about plants for one moment and then she start zoning them out and thinking about salads and then pizza and then on. it's a bit hard for her to stay on one subject, but it's just her natural nature to do so. despite that, that doesn't mean it's not annoying and that her friends don't get angry at her for that, though. she can also be pretty sensitive to harsh words. because of her naturally kind and friendly disposition, it doesn't really come across to dayeon that people could be mean and hateful towards her until it happens. it could be something like a simple snap from her brother or a snort that comes from someone's throat, but regardless of what it is, it still hurts her feelings, and she might be a little sensitive to everything, but dayeon tries her best to keep her calm and stay chill... though that is pretty hard for her.

dayeon had always lived life unusually fast. even as a baby, her reflexes were a bit too fast for it to be normal, but her parents experienced the same thing with her older brother, so they thought it was just normal for them, but as dayeon grew up, she just seemed to be faster and faster. in p.e., she was the first one to finish running the mile and wasn't even out of breath at all, which dayeon always found weird, but didn't really mind, and instead just thought that she was naturally athletic. using her ability to use, she joined track and showcased her ability to run fast, along with her brother, who inspired her to join. perhaps that's why she was always encouraged to go faster at that point in her life, but dayeon ran every morning, in hopes of pleasing the people around her. 
after a year of track, dayeon and her brother, dahyuk, found out about their powers because they were being chased by a suspicious character after school one day, and they both ran for their lives. granted, they ran faster than they ever had before, but this just felt weird. it was as if the earth was rushing past them at the speed of light, and they just couldn't stop for some reason. it was exhilarating, and when they got home, they were both shocked. maybe that was the weird thing they had felt about themselves all their lives, but in the following days, the siblings would run about and get the other to watch, and for some reason, they just seemed to be running at the speed of light, which, at the time, seemed impossible to dayeon. she thought he was just joking, but once, their parents walked in on their antics and freaked. they weren't quite sure how to react, since their kids were literally running faster than they could even process, but tried to be accepting of it. they never said a word to anyone, but they just weren't sure how to go about it, until dahyuk got a special acceptance from sla, who scouted him during a competition for track. a year later, dayeon was also scouted for the same reason, and chose to go, seeing that there was opportunity for her there (and plus, dahyuk said it was a pretty cool school too).

relationships.  

– friend :: yoon sonyeon / student / introverted, kind / seven 
although there is a gap of two years between sonyeon and dayeon, that doesn't mean their friendship means any less. sonyeon is a bit introverted, but dayeon doesn't mind because she fills up the quiet parts with random parts about her day and what she's thinking of. for sonyeon, it's a bit tiring being with her, since dayeon's presence is just... fast, but the two like each other's company, and dayeon is not too bad of a friend, either. 

– friend :: hansol vernon choi / student / kind, insecure / six
dayeon only talks to hansol whenever he's around sonyeon, but it's fun talking to him as well (but dayeon finds everyone fun to talk to). she isn't too close with him and rarely talks to him out of her own will, but is amicable with him otherwise. 

– brother :: yang dahyuk / student / impatient, honest / nine
dahyuk is basically the same as dayeon - he's fast paced and their personalities are incredibly similar, so whenever they talk to each other, it's like they're talking to themselves. he's a fourth year, but it doesn't mean that they don't make time for each other. regardless, they're just like normal siblings that fight and make up, but just at a much faster pace, of course.

what are your weaknesses. "my weaknesses? hm," dayeon paused, scratching her chin before blurting out, "probably anything relating to being slow. that's nearly impossible for me. oh, and i think more of my weaknesses are using strength and being careful with things. it's really hard!"

what are your strengths. "oh, well that's easy," she laughed. "i'm really fast at everything! it's a strength when you want it to be, and convenient as well. other than that, though, i'm sure that i'm pretty good at some other miniscule things, like studying and retaining information."

how important are the other students at your school to you. "very important," she nodded, a bit firm with her answer. "if they weren't around me, i'd feel like such a freak. it's lonely having a super power, and having people not understand you. they're my moral support and people that i can lean on when times grow tough. they help me and i like to think i help them too." 

if you had to choose between your friend or a complete innocent stranger, who would you save. why. dayeon sat there in shock, unsure as to how to answer that question. "that's so hard to answer, especially since i have super speed, but it must be a situation where even being fast doesn't help... but personally, i would save my friend if i couldn't save the both of them. is that kind of messed up? i mean, i would love to save the both of them, i would, but if i only really had one choice, i would save my friend... i know and care for my friend more than i do with the other person, so..." dayeon trailed off, unsure what to say. 

if the only to save the world called for sacrifice, what would you sacrifice. "sacrifice as in anything right?" dayeon gaped, once again caught off guard with the question. "well... to be honest, i would probably sacrifice anything or at least, almost anything. i wouldn't sacrifice a life, but if it were something like my powers or even my life... i think i would sacrifice it." she nodded firmly, solidifying her answer.
