and i fell in love again

given name min yeonha
nicknames
shorty friends because of her incredibly short stature, many people near her started teasing her about her height, coming up with that nickname. it's usually used as a greeting ("hey shorty!"), but sometimes, people just use it as a substitute for her name.
yeonma friends because of her motherly disposition, her friends started to call her 'yeonma', which is a mix of her name and the word for mom. she doesn't really react much to the nickname when people say it to her, but nonetheless, is actually quite fond of it.
birthdate + age september 22, 1987 + 29
occupation divorce lawyer
birthplace seoul, south korea
ethnicity korean
languages
korean native as someone who was born and raised in south korea, yeonha's quite fluent in the language and her many years of studying it has made her very adept at it.
english conversational while she primarily learned this language in both high school and college, yeonha has made good use of it, due to the strenuosity of her job as a lawyer. she has to read certain things in english at times, so having a little bit of fluency in it helps a lot.
sign language semi-fluent because she had always been around woori all her life, it was basically impossible for yeonha to not learn sign language. she uses it mostly around woori, and it is practically their main form of communication when they don't want anyone else to understand what they are trying to say, but by learning how to sign, her relationship with woori is a whole lot better than it would've been if she didn't, and she'll always be very grateful about that.

appearance // with dusty blonde hair, along with attractive looks, min yeonha turns heads everywhere she goes. she's rather petite, with her height of 150 cm and weight of 44 kg, but yeonha knows how to rear herself despite her height. for the most part, yeonha is on the more natural side, in terms of makeup. you would mostly see her with a bit of concealer, eyeliner, lip tint, and her brows filled in, as yeonha is more interested in makeup that isn't too flashy. she is usually very well kempt, and her co-workers admire her chic way of dressing herself. she usually shows up to work in a business suit, but will accessorize herself with earrings and maybe a necklace, if she's feeling daring that day. overall, yeonha is a pretty girl with a pretty way of dressing, and her elusive appearance always garners attention, somehow.

personality when people look at min yeonha, they say that she's a tiny girl with bright hair, a lot of the times, but when people describe min yeonha, it's a general consensus that she's a very affectionate person. she's always quite tender and loving towards all her friends, family members, and co-workers, and she's pretty renown for being softhearted and extremely kind. she's fond of a lot of people, and although she doesn't quite show her affection through touch, she likes to show it through her actions, such as gentle smiles, sweet gestures, and more. people say she's an incredibly motherly individual also. she tends to be quite protective and caring, just like a real mother, and has always been someone who took care of others, whether it be woori or one of her co-workers at a party. she is always there to give advice, take care of issues, and more, and often times more than not, people would always say that she was exactly like a mom. although she doesn't act like it, yeonha is always very flattered when people say that and take pride in her motherly side. other than that, however, many people have agreed that she's quite a hardworking individual and is always seen filling out paperwork or meeting a client. ever since she was a child, she's always worked towards her goals, no matter how tough it may have seemed then, and she's very diligent in what she does. it's a common agreement that yeonha is incredibly responsible in everything she does and is always exemplary in that aspect.
however, she's not perfect, and while people have good things to say about her, there are some bad things about her personality as well. perhaps it has stemmed from the fact that she wasn't really paid attention to as a child, but yeonha is incredibly dependent on other people and acts as if it is a need for her to rely on others with practically everything. it was a surprise for many when she decided to live on her own because all throughout her life, she has been quite dependent on others for emotional support and such, but yeonha does come off as clingy at times, which people tend to dislike about her. she is also quite insecure about herself and is always uncertain with things that she does that don't regard her job. when it comes to what she wants to wear or what she wants others to perceive of her, she definitely cares a lot about other people's opinions and can't seem to find confidence in her looks, her achievements, and more. it consumes her life sometimes and at times, she can only think about what she's doing wrong and never really what she is doing right, leading her to be extra dependent on others for more emotional support. stemming from that, also, is the fact that she is very sensitive. she is pretty delicate and gets hurt easily from comments that would otherwise mean nothing to other people and is easily offended. people sometimes have to soften their words so that they don't upset her, and even then, she may still get hurt, so it's a bit annoying to others. despite her negative aspects, yeonha is still a sweet girl with a lot to offer.

background min yeonha was born in late september, and as a child, she did not really see much of her parents because they were incredibly busy with work, but when she did see them together, they'd end up fighting somehow, which probably sparked her interest in being a divorce lawyer. she hated the sight of her parents fighting and wished they divorced way earlier than when they did, but regardless, yeonha knew that they cared about her, if not each other. her main support system at the time was her cousin, ahn woori, who was the same age as her. yeonha would always be at her house, since it was much nicer than being at home, and the two girls would have play dates. to her, she didn't really mind that woori was deaf (afterall, the other girl could not even control the fact that she had it), and accomodated to her by trying to learn sign language. even though they didn't go to the same elementary school, yeonha still learned about what happened to woori throughout the years, and whenever the name 'park haejin' came up, she would be as angry as a ten year old kid would be at the time.
despite that, the two girls grew up and yeonha became a divorce lawyer, the job she's always wanted to be ever since she was a kid. it wasn't really what she expected it to be, but she liked it and it was enjoyable enough - except for the fact that she worked with park haejin. despite that, woori's interests were always a higher priority than beating up haejin, so she would always act accordingly, but even though yeonha was one affectionate and loving girl with a very short stature, she really wouldn't pass up an opportunity to twist haejin's arm until he cried - but she'd never say that.

relationships
ahn woori, 29 / cousin / friendly, reliable, hardworking
ahn woori is yeonha's beloved cousin, due to the very fact that they spent much of their childhoods together and even in adulthood, their relationship is still quite good. although they aren't seen on the playground anymore, they continue to develop their relationship through texts and hang outs and she even helped out with woori's divorce procedure, but when yeonha found out that park haejin reappeared in her cousin's life, she was definitely not happy.

lee minho, 29 / best friend / charismatic, understanding, oblivious
lee minho is yeonha's best friend of all time. he's been by her side since they were in high school, and has always been supportive of yeonha. before she met seonghwa, he was her support system, and while that role has lessened for him, they still talk all the time. minho isn't interested in yeonha at all, but with recent turn of events, seonghwa can't help but think so. despite that, he is always there whenever yeonha needs him, which is something that she'll always be grateful about.

park haejin, 30 / acquaintance / kind, calm, understanding
ever since she was a kid, yeonha hated the guts out of haejin, and now that he's back, she doesn't like him any more than before. he works at her law firm (but thankfully not the same department as her), and every time she sees him, yeonha seriously considers punching him (even though she knows real well that she couldn't do that at all). despite that, woori updates her about what haejin does and his attempts on apologizing towards her, so yeonha's feelings towards him have started to slightly change, but not so much. as haejin and woori's relationship starts to progress more, however, min yeonha finds herself forgiving him too.

lee jaehwa, 33 / friend / independent, sarcastic, caring
lee jaehwa is seonghwa's older sister and basically the reason why him and yeonha met in the first place (and she will never let them forget it), but she's a very independent individual who knows what she wants and doesn't settle for less. she's one of yeonha's main role models, and continually inspires her with the respect and self-love she has for herself.

personality traits
humorous, easygoing, honest
softspoken, tactless, inconsiderate

lee seonghwa is a man of many traits, and many people would definitely say he's a humorous person. although he isn't one to say much, he becomes the life of the party with his jokes and funny remarks, and everyone seems to be excited whenever he's around. he definitely knows how to be a moodmaker and often times, yeonha will be curled up and laughing her heart out, due to a joke he said. he's also very easygoing and tends to just go with the flow a lot of the times. it takes a lot for him to be mad, since he just brushes things off easily, never really getting too worked up over small things. he's patient because of that and is pretty carefree towards life in general. seonghwa says he only lives once, so he should live it while being happy, and being relaxed is what makes him happy. also, he's a man of honesty and believes that he would rather be told the truth than to be lied to out of "kindness". he's very sincere with everyone he meets, and tells the truth at all times, even if no one really asked for it.
despite that, he's quite softspoken and isn't a man of many words. most of the time, he is gentle with his speech and doesn't particularly talk too much, unless if it's yeonha, and it's rare for him to yell (until later on, of course). it isn't off for him to keep his mouth shut for a long period of time, and while it may be a bit awkward at first, people get used to it quickly. because of his blunt honesty, seonghwa tends to be a bit tactless at times and sometimes has issues with being sensitive towards other's feelings, which gets yeonha anonyed and upset at times, due to how easily upset she can get from his harsh words. others find it offputting that he can be so tactless, but he just can't help it; he believes that you have to be honest, no matter what excuse there may be. seonghwa also tends to be a bit inconsiderate sometimes and will focus on his needs first before anything else, although he doesn't mean to do it on purpose. he thoughtlessly does things that hurt other people, and may seem really insensitive, but he doesn't mean to; it just happens, but it doesn't mean that it excuses him from being inconsiderate to others. while there are a lot of people who love seonghwa and his qualities, there are just moments where they find him quite annoying and hurtful, but regardless, he is just someone who tries his best and doesn't actually mean to hurt others.

their first meeting min yeonha met lee seonghwa when she was 27 years old, due to his sister being one of her clients. she was meeting lee jaehwa to discuss various information that related to her marriage, if there was any prenuptial agreement, and more, and seonghwa happened to tag along for moral support. to be honest, yeonha was interested when she first saw him. he was definitely handsome and judging by the way he talked to her, he was both polite and intelligent, which was a huge plus in her book. despite that, she was a professional woman (which she kinda regretted at the time), and didn't bother to ask for his number or anything when he left ("stupid yeonha, you always ruin your chances!"), so she was just stuck with his name and it didn't help that he didn't come back any other time afterwards. just when she was starting to lose hope in him ever coming back, he showed up with jaehwa one day, and yeonha's heart leaped. it was finally her chance! well, that's what she thought until she realized she was too dang shy to make her move on him, but who could blame her? he was so hot! plus, the fact that she was rusty in dating also contributed to her shyness at that very moment. what if she rejected her? she would've cried out of embarrassment right then and there. yeonha, feeling hopeless once more, resumed her duties and she thought that it'd be the last she'd see of him, until he asked her for her cell phone number and she nearly shrieked. this was her one lucky moment that had been bestowed upon her by the gods themselves (not even a single god, she means all of them), and yeonha would never reject a gift from the gods. she exchanged numbers with him (while ignoring jaehwa's giggles from two feet away), and thus, that was the start of their relationship.

as for seonghwa, he was definitely interested in yeonha when he met her, as she seemed pretty and sensible at the same time, but he was pretty scared to ask her out as well. he noted her professional demeanor and the fact that she barely looked at him, so he thought that she wasn't interested in him at all. he hesitated on asking her for her number right before jaehwa was done, but honestly, getting rejected in front of his older sister, who was getting a divorce, was just too depressing for him. plus, someone as pretty as her probably had a boyfriend already, or so he thought. as they left, seonghwa had no intentions of telling his sister about his feelings, or at least initially, but on the way home, she would not stop making jokes about how he could not stop staring at the pretty lawyer and how he should've made a move. it took her chiding him for many days before he finally relented and came back to the law firm with her, just so that he could ask out yeonha, and when he asked the blonde haired girl for her phone number, he swore he could hear his heart jumping out of his chest. when she saw her eyes widen in shock, he wasn't quite sure if it was a good or bad thing (he was leaning moreso on the latter), but when she agreed and told him his number, he couldn't help but smile in relief.

their interactions after a long year of dating, seonghwa finally proposed to yeonha, who gladly accepted. she was incredibly ecstatic to finally be able to get married to her dream man, and they were head over heels for the other. of course, there were critics who said that one year isn't enough to know if a person is the right match for the other, but the couple didn't care; they felt it was meant to be, so they went on with their life happily. after a few months, the wedding was finally conducted and shortly after came a few months of bliss.... until the fights started happening. yeonha and seonghwa had never lived with each other prior to the marriage, and when they came back from their lovely honeymoon and started living as a married couple, they began to bicker a lot. it came as a shock to yeonha because they never really fought when they were dating, but now, they were fighting over little things, such as who would wash the dishes or who would clean the rooms, and it was the same time where both of them felt pressure from their jobs. yeonha had a few ongoing cases that didn't seem to stop and were incredibly messy, and for seonghwa, his employers were incredibly strict and demanding of him, so it didn't help that his wife started yelling at him to clean whenever he got home. it also didn't help that she talked to her best friend (who happened to be a guy) more than she talked to him; it angered him to know that while he was doing his own thing, she would be replying to one of his messages, and it angered him even more to realize that after all their fights, she would go to the friend right away to rant about him. when they were dating, they did not fight nearly as much or as hard, so this was incredibly new to him and he didn't know what to do. he swore that they were incompatible and after all the issues built up and after talking to his friends about it (or actually, more like complain about how his wife was just nagging on him and probably just crushing on her best friend now), he decided to do the deed and get divorce papers. naturally, this shocked yeonha, as she was a divorce lawyer herself, and she never would've thought that a situation like this would've happened. she hated the realization that he fell out of love with her, and recalled that it was only a few months ago where they enjoyed such bliss and promised to be together in sickness and in health, but at that very moment, she felt her heart crash and her soul break. despite that, she refused to sign the papers and that angered seonghwa; not because he was mad at her, but he was mad at the idea of her being stubborn and not doing something that would better their relationship. everyday, he would ask her to just sign the papers and even begged her on his knees to sign them, but she just couldn't. it was impossible for her. she still loved her husband very much, and regretted all those fights and mistakes that had accumulated between them. she didn't know what to do, but she just knew that she couldn't get divorced. he acted very cold once the divorce papers were presented, but for some reason, she wasn't sure if it was because he hated her now or for another reason, but it was hard; min yeonha wanted her husband back, but she wasn't quite sure how she would go about with it.

their ending yeonha stalled the divorce proceedings for a long time and she refused to sign the papers, even though seonghwa was begging her so hard to. she believed that it wasn't what they truly needed, and she tried being a good wife to him again. she started cooking all his favorite foods and coaxing him to eat with her, which he was reluctant to accept at first, and she tried talking to him more, though he was apprehensive about it. he was adamant when he said he wanted to get a divorce and he wanted to stick by it, even though yeonha was showing some changes and a willingness to work things out, but he believed that at that point, it was too late. for her, however, it was never too late, and she just needed to prove it to him. she tried doing everything that she could think of and even asked his sister for advice, and nearly blocked her for an eternity when she texted back with "why don't you just seduce him LOL". regardless, yeonha was really trying and she wanted to improve her marriage with seonghwa. after many attempts and trials at winning back his affection, she just broke down in front of him, which was a shock because she hadn't cried in front of him in a long time. she cried about how she wanted to fix everything and how she didn't want to get a divorce, and even more surprisingly, seonghwa's heart hurt. he couldn't bear to see the woman he once loved crying like that, and immediately tried to console her, reassuring her that everything will be fine, even though he wasn't sure if it'd be. he just wanted her to be happy, and felt bad that he became the source of her pain. after that, he was at least willing to try out fixing their marriage, although he was still kind of set on the divorce, but with each and every passing day, he was slowly starting to remember what he loved so much about his wife. seonghwa wasn't sure exactly when he started falling in love and when he stopped talking about the divorce, but it was clear to him that they were rebuilding their relationship, and it was stronger than ever. they still fought, but at that point, they fought to let the other know about their problems and never let any resentment build up between the two, since that was what had caused the problem in the first place. although it isn't their first time falling in love with each other, a second chance at it isn't so bad.

question one ) what age did you want to get married? now that you are 29 years old and you're not married how do you feel? "to be honest, i wanted to get married when i was 25, but 28 isn't all too bad. but i don't know, marriage is kind of... strange to me. maybe it's not what i expected, but oh well. i mean, i'm not sure what i should expect as a divorce lawyer, but i just went straight in and... yeah." yeonha muttered, unsure of what she really wanted to say.

question two ) did you originally want to get married? why? if you didn't want to get married what changed your mind? "yes! i've always wanted to get married, it's been my dream since forever. like just the thought of having someone there for me, someone that'll support me, someone that'll let me use their credit card for another free trial on hulu... that's what i imagined marriage to be like and it's what i wanted my married life to be like, but honestly, i don't know because i guess not everything can go to plan and that theory has clearly showed itself to me..." yeonha trailed off awkwardly, wondering if she had said too much in the moment.

why is do you think that your character should have the plotline that you chose? i think that yeonha should be chosen because she and her relationship show that not everything is perfect, even after marriage. it shows that they only acted upon a puppy love at first (a honeymoon phase-type of love), and married, even though they didn't know much about each other. even though a year or less is enough for some people, it was not enough for yeonha and seonghwa, and they definitely needed more time to learn about the other. despite that, yeonha showed preserverance and never gave up on her marriage, even working hard to gain seonghwa's love again. although their love story isn't super romantic and a bit on the dramatic side, it shows that being real with your partner (bc honesty is important!) and resolving issues, instead of running away, are key points in a longlasting relationship. it shows a more realistic point on love and shows that they weren't ready, but at the end, they were willing to reconcile and work with each other towards their happiness!

questions + comments? none except for i love you and i hope you like yeonha!! and also, i am sorry if she sounds overdramatic and kinda lame!!!!! (btw i also apologize for the quality of this app, i wrote most of it at 2 am i am very sorry i love u) oh yeah and yeonha's username would be something dumb like "yeonhahahah" or something like that heheheh
