Short description: Zen is a very fun girl. She is Kind, friendly and easy-going. Alot of people may think she is an extrovert because of her actions, but she is an introvert. She was an extrovert but that changed with time. Although she's an introvert, when it comes to people she cares about, she puts them first, she's the most selfless person you'll ever meet. As she's an introvert, she always keeps her problems to herself and would not share them with her friends because she would think "it's a waste of their time." She didn't want to trouble them with her problems so she keeps them bottled up, which causes her alot of stress but doesn't show it.

background.  how did their background influence them?

Her parents often have big fights. Her being the older daughter of the 2 sisters, she must push her feelings away and comfort her younger sister "sunya" during their parents' fights. Her father would go out and drink with other women which kept her mother awake at night waiting for him to come back home. Their money was gone because of her father's drinking habits, and they couldn't live in Korea anymore, they had to go back to America, because her father didn't like living in Korea, he just hated the country. But Zen wanted to stay in Korea to pursue her dreams and get money for her family. They originally came to Korea to visit her mother's family, which they do every a couple of years. Although she hated her father, he was still family. With that, she had to leave them and stay in Korea alone.

When Zen first came to visit Korea(she was 9 years old), she lived with her family at a building in Seoul. Her neighbor was Chaeyoung and they just started their relationship from their. Zen stayed in Korea for a couple of months and by that time chaeyoung and Zen were spending time together almost all the time. When Zen went back to America to continue her studies, she still kept in touch with chaeyoung. The second time Zen went to Korea, was when she was 11 years old. She became a JYP trainee with chaeyoung, which meant they were together all the time. When Zen would need to talk to someone about her problems, she would go to chaeyoung. After competing in Sixteen and getting eliminated in the final round, while Chaeyoung made it into twice, they were talking as much but they are still close as hell.

When Zen first got into Sm, She met Krystal a couple of times, but that meant that they would only greet each other. One time, Zen was running out of the building crying because she was thinking of her family and everything was stressing her out. She was running and she couldn't really see much, so on her way out she bumped into Krystal and she realized that Zen was crying so she took her to a cafe and sat down with her until Zen calmed down and was okay. Since that day, they were getting closer and closer each time. Although Zen is younger than Krystal by 6 years. Zen considered her as her older sister and  can depend on her and trust her.

trainee life. She quit JYP after sixteen because she figured that she would be staying in JYP for too long because Twice just debuted and she doubted that a girl group was going to debut any soon. After she left, she joined Sm. The first few weeks she was busy with her schedule and barely saw anyone, but after she got a hang of the schedules, she started seeing other trainees. Because of her cheerful personality, it was easy for her to make friends, including the trainees she was living with in a dorm, they were all older than her so they took care of her. Even though she made friends and people were helping her, it was still hard for her. She missed her family alot. School was very hard to keep up with especially with her schedule. She had no time to rest, she could barely have a wink of sleep. She was too young for this but she had to go through it. She already started and she couldn't give up, she can't give up her family. Even though her singing and dancing we're good, the trainers would always find something wrong. I mean, she knew she wasn't perfect but she thought they were too harsh, she was still too young for all of this, but she had to push through.
