I agree with this 100%. It’s always a FF writer’s laments that they don’t hear anything from their readers. We do this for fun, yes, but we do appreciate comments, constructive criticisms, or any feedback that can help us improve better on our writing.

 

I always make it a point of updating my story every week because it makes me happy to read numerous comments about it but lately, those keep dwindling down and I only read like, 5-10 comments for a 16-20 pages of a story I have stayed up late for, well, my motivation comes down with it to the point where I thought what’s the point?.

 

It may sound shallow or stupid to some of y’all but those comments gives me the energy, the motivation, the drive, to continue whatever story I’m doing and I’m pretty sure I speak in behalf of all AFF or Wattpad writers out there. It made me consider deactivating a lot of times to be honest, which I’m sure wouldn’t made much of a difference in the AFF world anyway, but I love writing. I love to enclose myself in a make-believe world where my ships are actually true, which is the reason why I stayed and kept on writing.

 

That and also those that do leave comments constantly on my every update and also sending me their love on twitter. Thank YOU, you know who you all are. Thank you for taking the time to let me know what you think and I promise to continue these stories for you.

Did not know u feel that way.. But i do appreciate you and all the writers in aff.. You are amazing as you can play in our minds, your giving us all mix emotions by the stories you created. Please continue writing. And i will not be a silent reader.. Eheheehe

It's not stupid you are doing this for free for us and yourself. You are spending your time and you are doing it probably faster so we can read it. Even though I am a reader and not really a writer I do get you. You have every right to ask for comments especially when your stories are this amazing. <3

My english is only reader phase. I would like to comment but every time I try, it turns bad. I am really bad in english. I think we could in AFF for each chapter upvote like wattpad. AFF should give that. Thank you for stories, updates.

Hmmm,i agree with this because as a reader ,commenting is only my payment to authors hardwork ,I thank all the authors for sharing their stories,keep up the good work and hoping that you won't get tired in updating and making new stories,,God bless you all

wow, hope silent readers will have now ideas how it feels to be writer ( because i do now, sad to say i am one of them but, except on your story :D ), and how hard it is for you not to heard any reaction from us. To be honest i only follow few authors in aff, i even avoid reading stories which is not DG related, but when i read your stories about darahae, and the way you write, the plot of your stories is very unique, funny and your story now a days makes me stayed in house every weekend lmao.... i just love you and your story....and i think most of the writers i followed you are the only author who often updated their stories.... and i really appreciated it soo much, why? because i know you guys have your own life specially you work everyday but you made effort and makes time to update it not just because you want it or love it but because of your readers. I thank you because your stories are beautiful that my bad days makes exciting everytime i read your stories... please keep on writing and be inspired everyday because we will always be waiting every single update you make, and please know we appreciate it so much. Hmmm.. it really is sad when readers nowadays dont give their love properly to hardworking writers. I tried writing before and truly tho, reading comments was a very heart fluttering experience. But writing was not for me and i decided to just read and support aff writers. The experience made me appreciate a writers' genius tho thats why i made sure to be very vocal to the writers that i liiike~
I am one of those who loves giving a loot of loooove to my fave writers that sometimes a bit burdening to the writers' part. I tend to profess my liking to their story excessively eg. Posts/Dms in twitter,IG and even here in aff. ARGH I WRITE LONG DMs THAT MAY SOMETIMES OVERWHELM THEM. T__T I know, its creepy LOL even I cringed in my extra-ness. Hope my writer friends will just ignore my spazzing in my posts.I usually limit mysef but some days, i just couldnt . I dont know what im writing anymore just THANK YOU TO THE AMAZING WRITERS AROUND THE GLOBE. You all have worked hard. You all are passionate. You all are inspiring! You all deserves happiness~

Hi~ I saw an author friend of mine post it and I just had to agree with everything said on there. >< It can sound petty but I do like receiving feedback from what I had written. It's so sad to be writing all these updates in between the little free time I have and not knowing if writing all these pages is actually worth it. Most would always ask for updates but when there are updates, they'd disappear haha

My real life is ty at the moment and this used to be my escape but there are times this site has caused me so much stress because of well, you know, haters and silent readers >< I know every reader might be busy but sometimes I do feel bad seeing so many people subscribing in all my stories and not even hearing any feedback from all of them. One time I wrote a 30-page update for Catch and Capture and I didn't even receive any comment from it and that actually really hurt me before lol Makes me question my value as someone who writes darahae stories. "Is my writing that bad for people not to say anything about it?" I'd ask myself that lol

I deactivated many times to be honest but well, here I still am. I guess it's just because we just love doing what we do? And like you, I do have these people (however few they are) who would always appreciate my work and I'll always be thankful for that.
