Hope this make you realize something

As a graphic designer, we often gained a new followers. Sometimes we do graphic for other people for free. They didn't know what we have been through 

As for me, I literally took 3 hours to do one poster. I usually do it when people are asleep (1 am until 4 am). I can say it took me most of the time to get a perfect blends, choosing the font, arranging it and etc. I served the best for my customers. I'm sure that's what other graphic designer do. It's for free for God sake. 

 

The sad things is, when we posted it, sometimes they're just "Thanks! I pick up", or "Beautiful, I picked up"

 

Don't you have any effort to give us a feedback while we put all of our efforts into your poster? It's not fair tbh. Like, we're not a Barbie doll to serve you just like that. We do it for free but a little feedback will not hurt right? I'm not asking you to give an essay for the poster or etc, it's enough if you tell us what you like about the poster. Not just a simple pick up and thanks.

 

Sometimes, you never know how disappointed we are. Maybe you're just, "oh! My poster is done lets comment because it's in the rules"

yeah I know what you mean, but that's life man. You're going work so hard but people are not going to notice. But that doesn't mean you give up bc someone doesn't appreciate it. Just keep doing it some are going to appreciate it but not everyone.
For me, the feedback doesn't bother me because I know I worked hard on this graphic, as long as the use my work for the the amount of time I gave them and show it off for their story i'm good
Just know that you don't need others approval to keep going

Yeah it's true, sweetie. Even I did edits before for free but people just lack appreciation, so I stopped. Now I only do it for my own personal use. Unless I get the motivation to do it again. For now, I'll just write stories.

Sometimes it takes me days to find stuffs regarding that poster as I wanna give the best though I get nothing for that hard work. Not to mention a few try and error of diff styles. but why I'm still doing this is bcuz I like designing tho it's not my major haha..

Ikr! That's why I made up a rule where they HAD to give feedback (although almost none of then did!). I hope requester realize that more.

I felt the same way a long time ago during the early start of graphic designing on AFF and since I didn't want to let it bother me, I began to feel indifferent about the requests that I was doing and soon the procedure in graphic making was becoming a bore. When making a graphic, I would be like "Yes! This texture would work great and I'm so smart to use this technique!", however, no one acknowledges it... Everything I did became systematic since it wasn'r worth my time when no one gave me credit and I hated it. I no longer poured feelings into each design and I stopped AFF and designing altogether for a good 2 years. But I am back again, because I loved designing... and now I just hope that the same thing doesn't repeat itself :(
