BACKGROUND
1999 late august, gyumin's father leaves his mother a few months before gyumin's birth. gyuri was only 5 years old at the time.
1999 gyumin is born on a chilly december morning in the gangnam area of seoul as the youngest child in the, quite well off, jeo family.
2009 the jeo family moves out of their gangnam home to live in the seodaemun district of seoul.
2011 gyumin joins a nearby dance school after being convinced by his sister that he needs to do more than just play video games all day.
2012 gyumin wins his first dance 'dance competition' hosted by his dance school.
2014 gyuri moves out to live with her boyfriend and gyumin becomes the only child in the house.
2015 gyumin enrolls into krsa because he felt lonely at home without anyone to annoy (aka his sister) and wanted to have a roommate again.

SCHOOL LIFE generally, gyumin is quite a good student; when he's not around his friends. when his friends are in the same class as him he tends to be quite disruptive and loud. the boy doesn't shut up whenever yaoxun, minhyuk or anyone else he's close to is in his lesson. he managed to find himself a pretty controversial group of friends, unfortunately. they're not the school's bad guys, oh no, they're worse. they are the type to send you a 'wyd' text at 1:35am on a thursday. at least thats what they look like to someone who doesn't spend any time with them. in reality, they're just normal guys who meet up to play video games and watch movies; not talk about which girl from maths class has the biggest peach. okay maybe sometimes since jang heejun is a bit of a boy – but thats not the point. the point is, they're Misunderstood™.
gyumin is quite friendly and doesn't shy away from talking to people who aren't part of his friendship group, and is generally on good terms with everyone. however, naturally there are a few people who have very negtive opinions about him. there are plenty of rumours going around about him being in multiple relationships at once, underage drinking and other good stuff. he earned himself quite a reputation, which is only half-accurate. he's not the kind of kid who is ready to shank everyone in his way but he is sly and isn't afraid of cheating in class and doing things he shouldn't be, like skipping class for 3 days straight. so maybe he's not this great, goody-two-shoes student afterall.

i mean, i like to think that i'm doing good at school so lets say my average grade is a B and my class rank is 129. sound right? – no, shh theres no need to look them up on the school system, i'm not lying i promise.

i absolutely despise maths. why do we need it anyway? my favourite subject is probably history. without having to remember the dates, though.
ANY FUTURE PLANS FOR YOURSELF?
in the future i want to have a good job so i can travel. i want to visit taipei especially since yun told me a lot about it and it sounds pretty neat. and europe! europe sounds great too.
HOW DID YOU END UP IN CLASS F?
i knew you'd ask this question. okay sit comfortably this going to be a long story. so basically, what happened was i stayed at my sister's house the weekend before the exam and my sister just happens to own a dog which ya boy is very allergic to. so she had to keep the dog away from me because i wouldn't stop sneezing but she left my jacket in the livingroom with the dog who ended up sleeping on it. so because i had no idea that the dog slept on my jacket i took it to school with me on the day of the exam and i essentially got sent out of the exam hall for sneezing too much and i didnt even get halfway through the exam. AND THEY DIDNT EVEN LET ME FINISH IT IN ANOTHER ROOM, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? so i basically answered three questions before being sent out and thats how i ended up in class f.
ARE YOU PART OF ANY EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES? SPORTS?
of course! i mean im part of the school dance team, obviously. and i take part in soccer training and games sometimes. by sometimes i mean i only did it once last year because one of the players was sick and minhyuk managed to convince me to replace him that day.

i do, i live in the room at the bottom of the corridor on the top floor. i live alone since my last roommate transferred to a different school a few weeks ago but im looking for a new one now. and minhyuk won't even move to my room because his roommate won't let him. unbelievable. han minhyuk, a fake friend. but anyway, yeah i want a new roommate, tell everyone to hit me up on kakao.
RELATIONSHIPS
저규리 // 22 // older sister ; gyuri aka gyumin's favourite woman (sorry mom,,). she has been the target of gyumin's pranks for the first 15 years of his life and even though they don't see each other very often anymore because of how gyumin's school works and gyuri's busy schedule, they always manage to find a way to start bickering before gyuri eventually puts a stop to it by saying she wont let him stay at her house on weekends anymore. in gyumin's eyes, gyuri is the best sister on earth. she's generous and friendly but also strict enough to be able to put gyumin into place. to him, gyuri is the father figure he never had. she has always been the one to push him out of his comfort zone and encourage him to try new things, she had been their mother's greatest source of support as well as gyumin's bestest friend as she is always ready to listen to whatever is bothering him. her poised and kind character made her a great role model, and gyumin has always said he wishes to be like her when he enters adulthood.

한민혁 // 17 // best friend ; gyumin would've never imagined that there is, in fact, someone who talks, screams and whines more than himself. that person is han minhyuk, his best friend since middle school. there is no way anyone could be louder and more annoying than him. but gyumin secretly enjoys his whining and complaining even though he himself complains about minhyuk's constant complaints. he may come off a little rude at times but in reality, he just has a kind of speech impediment where he has absolutely no filter on whatever he says. he has a very big personality, which gives a lot of people the impression that he's a bit of a snob, however he truly means well. he's a real softie on the inside and a very emotional guy who's not afraid of knocking at gyumin's door at 3am with a bag of snacks saying that he's upset because of a tv show he just watched and needs to talk it out.

耀勳 // 17 // close friend ; although they may not be the "best friends forever" kind of friends, yaoxun is still one of gyumin's favourite people. yun is one of the very few people who truly understand gyumin's sense of humour and actively participates in gyumin's banter. yaoxun is the kind of person gyumin wishes he was; always ready to try something nee and constantly smiling. he is the ray of sunshine that secretly powers gyumin's world without him ever noticing. yaoxun is the kind of friend who will smile and support you no matter what you do, however he has his kindness has a limit. when you cross the line, you will experience the effects right away as yaoxun's impulsive behaviour may often lead to some pretty messy situations. though as far as gyumin knows, these kinds of events have been nothing more than verbal fights – for the most part.

COMMENT im finally done! this is my first time completing an application since the beginning of last year and i actually dont hate it. i'm sorry if it sounds a little too informal or whatever, i thought this was the best way to portray gyumin's character. also, i at writing out the personality so i hope the traits aren't too vague. i tried to make up for it in the q&a and trivia sections a little bit: /// anyway, i hope you like gyumin just as much as i do!
