Iseul is a fun and caring person, you could feel that since the first time you met her. She always look after people around her and worry about them when something happened. She's also a very hard-working person, she will make sure that she could solve every problem and the final result is the exact result that she wants. She has this 'intellegient-aura' (as her friends said) when you're with her. She has such a broad-knowledge about a lot of things, makes her likeable. She's not afraid to do new things and always want to try something new. She loves being with people and socializing, her friends definitely loves being around her and she's a very loyal friend who won't hurt anyone except she got hurted by someone.

But Iseul is an ambivert. She has her 'extrovert' traits and 'introvert' traits. Sometimes she likes to be alone and read books, she once ignored her phone for the whole day and just practicing also reading books. She loves her 'me-time' during rainy days and doesn't like it when anyone interupted her 'me-time'. Iseul also loves writing and reading English literature as her mom is a professor in English literature they have a bookshelf full with english lit. books, her personal favorite author are Charlotte Bronte and Jane Austin. She loves watching tv crime-series such as Criminal Minds, Sherlock, and many more. Iseul knows how to spend her alone time and she's comfortable with it.

Her hard-working personality create a bad trait for her, perfectionist. She loves everything that's perfect or match with her standards. She always put a high standard for herself and expect herself to be the best. Her honest traits also crate her blunt and sarcastic personality, sometimes she doesn't even know that she hurts someone with her blunt words. Iseul  also loves everything that's under her control, so she's a little bit impatience when someone or something gets in the way. She gets annoyed when people doesn't understand what she wants and works lazily. Iseul is always on-time so she doesn't like someone who's late. She also wants people to work according to schedule and on-time. Because of her perefectionist and high-standards that she sets for herself, sometimes she gets into break down when she didn't achieve what she wants. She self-deprecate herself and thinks that she's the worst out of everyone and to erase that thought, she'll make herself work hard sometimes as hard as she doesn't get sleep at all.

Iseul was born as Song Iseul in Incheon, South Korea. Her father works for the IMF, they used to live in Washington right before Iseul was born. Her older brother's citizenship is American. Her father name is Song Kyunghoon. Meanwhile, her mom is an English literature professor who previously graduated from Berkeley (BA) and Stanford (MA). She used to taught English literature in Georgetown University. Her name is Ahn Hyunjin. Both of her parents hold South Korean citizenship meanwhile their oldest son holds an American citizenship as he was born in Washington and chose USA citizenship. Iseul is the second child of three. She's the only girl as her older and younger siblings are all boys. Her older brother is 3 years older than her, his name is Song Taejoon. He is currently living in Washington, working for World Bank. Her younger brother is 2 years younger than her, his name is Song Hajoon. He currently lives in Seoul, currently a freshman in SNU Department of Psychology. Iseul said that he's 'on the way to heal his own mentality'.

Iseul's mom decided to move back to South Korea on summer 1995. Her father accompany his family to settle up in Incheon which is where they're gonna stay for a short period. Iseul born in Incheon and was raised there. She attended Incheon Yangji Elementary School meanwhile  her mother was teaching English Lit. in Yonsei University. When she was 8 years old, her father came back to visit them and asked them whether they're going to follow him to moved to Hong Kong or not. Her family decided to follow her father and they moved to Hong Kong as her father was given a duty in IMF Hong Kong. So they moved to hong Kong. Iseul enrolled in Hong Kong International School until she finished elementary school. Since elementary school, Iseul loves music. She learns Cantonese throuh the children songs that she heard and she also learns English through Disney songs and movies. Since then, music played a big part in her life. Her father's duty in IMF Hong Kong office was finished and he was asked to go back to Washington DC by the headquarter. So Iseul, her mom, and her brothers moved to Seoul, South Korea meanwhile father went back to Washington. 

They settled up in Seoul, her older brother went to Hyundai Senior High School to finished his study. Iseul entered Seoul Foreign School for her junior high school. During her school year, Iseul grew fond and interested in Chemistry. her love for chemistry was shown during 8th grade and since then she started to follow a lot of champioship. She placed through out her junior high school years and went to Whimoo High School. Despite her education background that was very promising, her love for music didn't just die. Music is her escape after studying like crazy. Music helps her to relax. She would sing during school festival but that's it. Iseul was quite known during her high school year because she was the valedictorian for three straight year, a president of the student body, and also captain of the chemistry olympic team.

Whenever the teacher are absent, her friends would ask her to explained some chemistry or math problems. She would always deny them politely but in the end she would teach them. She know she has this impatience-trait that not gonna help her friends to understand what she was saying. But they still asked her so she got no choice but to teach them. She graduated from high school in 2014. She chose to go to KAIST, Bio and Brain Engineering. She started her college life in March 2014. On her first day in college  she saw a female walking behind her and watching her but Iseul wasn't really thinking about her but then the next day that female came to approach her. Iseul thought that female was a stalker but then she introduced herself as a scout talent from SM Entertainment and asked her to go for their audition. She said that the company would love to have her as their trainee. Iseul was confused but then she went to the company and quickly got accepted. She became a trainee in early 2014, during her first year in college. She's currently finishing her senior year.

Iseul has a natural fair skin and light brown hair. Her double eyelids are natural as a natural double eyelids runs in her family although she used to be mistaken as a onolid because her eyelids are very tiny and unclear. She has a small figure , not too skinny nor too fat. She's quite short in her family as her brothers are really tall, literally. She has this quiet and calm face when she's just keep silent but then when she speaks, people would detect her talkative side. Iseul also has a long eyelashes. She has a birthmark around her right hip so when she uses crop top, her birthmark will shows.

A very fun and up-to-date mom, open-minded and careful. She went abroad during her teenage years so she doesn't mind with anything that might sound too western-ish for Korean people. She enjoys making fun of her own children in joking manner. She never made her children to study English but they have the willingness by themselves. Taejoon really care about Iseul and takes care of her really well when she was just a kid. Back in Hong Kong he would be the protective brother because he didn't trust any boys whow try to talk to her. Very, overly protective if you could say. Taejoon has a great academic resume and really good at looking opportunities, maybe that's why he works for World Bank. Taejoon loves to annoy Iseul alongside Hajoon.

Hajoon loves to annoy his older sister so much. Ever since they're a kid, Hajoon would be the one who chased Iseul across the room or even school hallway. Hajoon is your typical forgotful yet genius student, so whenever he needs something he would ran across the building to get the book from Iseul. They both would insult at each other for fun. Hajoon only calls her nuna when he needs something and Iseul doesn't really like being called nuna because she felt like she was really old.

– Best friend :: Chantell Lim Haitong (20) / SM trainee / sweet, considerate, and determined / 8 out of 10

Chantell is her first Chinese speaking friend. As Iseul used to speak chinese but not a lot of female trainee that speaks chinese as fluent as she is. Chantell is nice and sweet, really cute for Iseul. Both help each other during training and even Chantell would call her 'Ssem' because whenever Chantell decided to stay late, Iseul would be there while working on her chemistry problems.

– Best friend :: Kang Seulgi (23) / Red Velvet's member / fun, witty, clueless, and a bit clumsy / 10 out of 10

Seulgi is one of the first few trainee who approached Iseul and accompany her through her trainee years. Seulgi looks at her as her own younger sister because Iseul is 2 years younger than her, they love to practice singing and dancing together. Although Seulgi was already set to debut with Red Velvet by the time Iseul joined SM, Seulgi always accompany her and stay with her. Seulgi also help her to cope up with the trainee life a lot.

After Seulgi debut, Taeyong is her closetest friend. Taeyong helped her to cope up with the busy trainee life and would advice her on how to balance both college and training life. Taeyong introduced her to some other SM Rookies member such as Mark and Haechan. Iseul quite depended on him because she has been with SM for quite some time. He is her sunbae and oppa. Although there's several controversy surrounding him, Iseul knows that he's not that kind of person. Also, Taeyong really resemble her older brother for some reason and that's why she's comfortable with him.

Haechan alwasy reminds Iseul of Hajoon. Haechan wold constantly and they would start insulting each other. Haechan isn't your average boy. He talks really well and have all the answers to any questions that you might have. Taeyong and Iseul are his main 'bully' target especially after Taeyong starred in Red Velvet's MV and after she starred in BoA's MV. But without him, the trainee life would be dull.

Mark is her other brother. mark is way calmed than Haechan although if the two together it would be a quite a mess for her. Mark is a great rapper and a trong dude. He would talk in English with her, especially if he feels tired and just want to complain.

Iseul entered the company being street casted, she didn't know what it means but a lot of trainee told her that it means the scout talent only interested in her looks. She also heard that it was very rare to see a college student got scouted. That's why Iseul works hard to show that she deserve being scouted. She came the earliest during training and went home the latest. She would spend her weekend on the practice rooms to practice even all by herself. The other trainees know whether Iseul was going to stay the night or not through her bag. If she brings a thick chemistry book, it means she'd going to spend the night because after several hours singing, she would stopped and take a rest with reading books or solving chemistry roblems. Iseul's voical talent shook everyone, no one ever thought that she could sing that clean and high although she never get trained profesinally like the other trainee. But SM wants to keep her for temselves, let her hidden like Joy Red Velvet. Iseul wasn't introduced as SM Rookies member, she kept hidden and trained hard in vocal and dance. She was taught properly how to warm up her vocals and the right technique to use her vocals. Jang Jinyoung, one of the vocal trainer in SM acknowledge that Iseul has a vocal talent that not a lot of people have and believe that even with the slightest time she would make it. Her voice was hidden but she appeared on several SM singers' MV.

Hello! Nice to meet you, my name is Song Iseul.

what do you feel about debuting in a group with such a concept.

I feel really excited because it's a new concept in the Kpop scene and I think it would be a great opportunity not only for me but also for the group to be noticed because the different concept that we took. Quite nervous though because unlimited member which mean you have to make not only your group as a whole but also yourself to be noticed by the public. It might be hard but nohting is impossible:)

how would you describe your relationship with the other ixt members. 

A lot of them has been trained longer, the same amount or shorter period of time. But almost all the members are really well-traines, I know I still less than perfect so I think we're kind of sisters? I mean, sisters help each other right? Although yes we may have rivalary but it being rivals doesn't mean that you will be mean to each other, it could mean that you would help and critics oone another to help all of us improve.

briefly describe your relationship with the nct members. 

When I enetered the company, most of them already trained in such a long period of time. Most of them help me to cope up with the trainee life especially Taeyong. he is really nice and helpful. I get along well with most of them, maybe except Haechan. He talks really well ... I mean, he's a born to be celebrity. I think he's the one who resemble my younger brother the most because sometimes we insult each other, in joking manner of course.

name one sm artist that you look up to. 

Of course Taeyeon-sunbaenim! She's a really nice senior and a great vocalist. She could experience a lot of genres and could make it work, even though not a lot of people like 'I Got Love' but I totally so into that song. She could make any genres work for her and made people like it. 'Why' might not a big success like 'I' but as the time goes by, a lot of Kpop groups' songs resemble Why. People follow the trends. She's also really pretty, a total girl crush:)

– Haechan and Iseul bicker, eve insulting each other. Haechan being savage meanwhile Iseul being all sarcastic. Taeyong, Jaehyun, and Chantell came in the middle of them, ended up having a headache.
