For my Fantastic Fantasy Festival, I'm running a mini-contest each month. Here is July's mini-contest!

There are three prompt choices for this month's mini contest! So! 

Pick A Theme

1. National Ice Cream Month in America
   Write a story that incorporates ice cream into it heavily: I don't care how, but I want the theme PRESENTand not just hinted at.
2. International Free Hugs Day
   Write a story that incorporates hugs as a main theme: it can be any genre and incorporated however you'd like, but I want it to be a star moment in the story.
3. Poplifugia (Flight of the People)
   This was a festival celebrated by the Ancient Romans, commemorating the successful escape from the burning city of Rome when they were attacked. Write a fantasy story about a festival for the people commemorating something bittersweet (think the people of Laketown's escape from the Dragon Smaug, but their loss of their homes as the price).

As you can see, the first two prompts do not have to be fantasy. The third prompt is the one with the most depth and uniqueness, but it would probably be the hardest to pull off. But I'm not gonna lie, that's the one I wanna see the most! 

RULES

• No story can be more than 3 chapters long, though the length of the chapters is up to you. Anything shorter than 3 chapters is also happily accepted.
• No please
• Any band can be used but NO OCs as the lead character, please. Obviously I'll be more likely to enjoy a story of bands I enjoy reading, so I would advise to pick one one from the following list, but it's up to you in the end and the quality of the story itself is what will choose the winner.
• Any genre is welcome except for prompt #3: that must be some form of fantasy
• deadline for completed entries is July 31st. I wil read them as they're completed, though, so do let me know as soon as they are. I'll also be leaving comments on the stories themselves.
• No bashing, no rudeness, no complaints
• No extensions will be given
• If you have a story that fits these requirements and fits one of the prompts, feel free to submit it too! Any writing date accepted. 

Prizes

if there are less than 10 entries, only one story will win anything. If there are more than 10, two stories will. If there are more than 20, three stories will. So spread the word and tell people about it, because you'll have a better chance of winning with more people involved! And if the winner wants it, I'll write a story using any character at all for a prize, using one of these three prompts as my own prompt. Winner has the right to decline and I'll write a blog post advertising their winning story instead.
