First impressions

Most people think Chaewon is perfect, and there's no surprise why. She often holds a flawless facade at work by displaying her responsible side. Whatever duties she is assigned to, she'll complete in utter perfection and she'll never push the blame to another person without reason. Her superior recognises her for her skills in dealing with statistics, mundane work and even socialising effectively.

Chaewon is also very observant and pays close attention to her surroundings. She'll note down anything interesting that she sees and knows how to apply the knowledge of her past experiences to new situations. Additionally, she analyses the pros and cons of each situation and is able to make a balanced decision... most of the time.

( "Objectively speaking, you're not bad. But when you place a negative value in yourself, then that's when you become bad. Only in your own eyes." )
The way Chaewon inspires her fellow colleagues is pretty bizarre. While she doesn't particularly have a positive demeanour, she gives great and relatable advice, mostly based on what she had seen or experienced herself. Although she often uses a matter-of-fact tone when giving advice to people, people instantly start worshipping her, as if she's some angelic being that has descended from Heaven here to enlighten their pathetic selves. Because of her seemingly wise tone and her usual flawless facade, people think that she gives the best advice and that following her cue will make their lives less pathetic than they already are.

Normally, Chaewon is very considerate towards her friends and employees. As long as they address their side of the story well, she'll usually be able to sympathise and give them certain leeway. Due to this, her acquaintances often thank her for being such a forgiving goddess. Oh, how wrong they are.

Digging deeper

Chaewon is very competitive, especially when she is placed in an environment that encourages competition. Even when it comes to minor things like cleaning her room, she sees the dust as her enemy and tries to compete with it by cleaning her room in the fastest way possible. Sometimes, her competitive streak comes in handy, but at other times, it's just... super redundant and adds additional stress on her.

Additionally, Chaewon is very stubborn when it comes to her own principles. She'll not allow anyone to correct her, even if they turn out to be right. Honestly, that's partially because she places herself at a higher pedestral than others. But you can't really blame her... Not when she has an army of people worshipping her. Most of the time, she doesn't express her stubbornness aggressively, because she has to maintain that angelic facade after all, but inside her, a rebel is running.

Chaewon is confident of herself, also partially because of the image she has meticulously set up. She thinks that her intelligence and wit will bring her anywhere, and even if she fails, she thinks that her image will be able to save her. As a result, it does give her an emotional boost, but it can also result in occasional complacency.

When you're too deep you can't get out

Chaewon is hella pretentious and fake, and she's proud of it. Well, that's a given. You have to maintain a facade in a society where fake people survive and real people burn out and die. And since Chaewon is so good at maintaining it (and benefits out of it), of course she wants to keep it. But this results in the blurry lines between her real self and fake self. She doesn't know who's the actual Ha Chaewon and she doesn't know who's the real Ha Chaewon. She would like the mirror to tell her, but sadly, even her reflection is twisted. She's really a twisted person all and throughout.

People may view Chaewon as a valient girl, but the truth is she's super timid. She doesn't dare to take risks, but of course she'll try to act tough and pretend she can take everything. The reason why she doesn't want to take risks is because she fears of what may happen out of it. Will she lose moeny? Will her facade break? Will she be able to protect the people she value? All of her calculations render her very timid and unable to take the extra step out.

Chaewon is really materialistic and sees money as the only mean which she can survive. After all, she's been raised with such a money-minded outlook since young. Because of this, most of her actions arise for the sake of earning more money. That includes the careful establishment of her facade.

The most major flaw Chaewon has is how cynical she is. She distrusts in everyone except herself and a few close ones, Most of the time, she doesn't express it directly, but she thinks that everyone is acting based on their self-interest. This mindset of hers ends up developing her 'fake facade', and also her pragmatic approach towards things.

⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫

Arriving into the world...

In 1991, Chaewon was born in a family that is slightly richer than average. From young, she had been taught to become a respectful and disciplined child. She grew up that way, with the pressure to be perfect and talented in every aspect possible. Her father teaches her that it's her way to survive in this cruel society where everyone is only looking out for themselves. In fact, he's proven right based on her experiences.

In 2003, Chaewon's baby sister, Chaekyung was born.

When she was a student, more specifically in 2005, she made many friends, though barely of them stayed. They stayed when there were times of merry laughter. Yet, there is one time when she remembers being stressed out and flunking her examinations. Her parents lashed out at her, and she cried when she went to school the next day. All her so-called friends never ever showed concern to her. Due to that, she utterly lost hope in them and believed in what her father said. 

The birth of a new life

In 2007, when Chaewon was still discovering herself in high school, she realised that she had a strange obsession with plushies. She had an old plush which she named Mochae, since she likes mocha, and a collection of other soft toys for all the achievements she had attained when she was younger. She calls these soft toys her ohana, her family. But her parents wanted to throw them away, saying that they had gone dusty. She reluctantly conceded, knowing that it was strange for a growing girl to keep plushies, but she was incredibly reluctant.

Going overseas

In 2010, Chaewon graduated from high school and studied aboard in the University of Cambridge in England. Living alone was harsh, especially when she was a foreign student who was a vulnerable target for bullying, but her frequent calls with her sister did kinda ease her burden.

Back to harsh reality

In 2013, Chaewon graduated from university and went back to South Korea, moving on to the workforce. She worked in a company that provided electronics. The workforce was extremely harsh, but it also showed Chaewon what the world was really like. After constantly being oppressed by her superiors, she had to prove her skills through proposals and various achievements. She had been promoted once so far, which was quite a great feat despite her young age.

At the same year, she met an absolute boot-er, Rapmon, while she was buying pastries for her breakfast.

In 2015, Rapmon confessed to Chaewon and they started dating.

 

⟪ LIKES ⟫

• Plushies, but she was forced to throw all her plushies away.
• Mocha. She likes the mixture of bitter coffee and chocolate against her tongue. 
• Horror movies- or more accurately, people's reactions when they were watching horror movies. She finds it funny how people can be scared over screechy ghosts and enjoys laughing at them.
• Medicine science. She enjoys studying medicine, but since she isn't one to take risks, she didn't apply to be a doctor due to how competitive it is. She doesn't think she'll fit as a doctor anyway, considering how she cares less about people's lives and death. She may end up accidentally killing them too, so better avoid that.
• Animals. That's why she has a pet. It's like her substitute for plushies.

⟪ DISLIKES ⟫

• Sugar, or anything sweet. She thinks she'll get diabetes eating it. The one exception is pastries since she always eats them for her breakfast before she goes to work.
• Mess or chaos. She really cannot focus when there's too much noise. It's probably one of the rare moments when she'll get snappy in public and try to get someone to clean up/shut up.
• Shows starring gags. She thinks they are pathetic and that half of the people inside the gag shows are idiots. The ironic thing is she likes to watch them sometimes just to laugh at the idiocy of people. Yeah, she's horrid.
• Sports. Please don't ever ask her to run on a treadmill. She'll just smack you, no doubt.

⟪ HOBBIES ⟫

• Collecting cute pictures online. Since she can't have the real plushies, she can always admire at the online pictures of cute things, right?
• Playing chess. She thinks it makes her smarter, and anything that makes her smarter is awesome.
• Writing about her feelings. Now, she barely has time to write, but she likes to keep a diary of her thoughts and experiences.

⟪ HABITS ⟫

• She has the tendency to play with her hair or just twirl with it.
• Most of the time, she has finger movements whenever she's concentrating. She may tap her pen, tap her chin, tap the table... You can almost say she has a tapping disease.
• This may sound weird, but she likes to squish people she likes, especially their cheeks. Sometimes, she hurts them.

• She has an adorable bunny named Ohana, in memory of her past Ohana. Her parents allow her to keep one because of how little mess it causes (most of the time).
• She has a weird hobby of finding what her name means in other languages. In Chinese, her name is 夏彩媛 (xia cai yuan). In English, she gives herself the name Catherine.
• Her drawers are all organised neatly and properly. Mess up her room, and you'll be stuck with cleaning her whole room for 1 week. Her sister experienced that, and she utterly regrets ever doing it.
• She basically has a weird obsession with squishing things. Not with animals, but with humans and insects. It's fine for humans (they won't die being squished), but many ants and random insects have been sacrificed for her squishing. She doesn't really care about insects so it doesn't matter to her. (Poor insects... If they were born cuter, they wouldn't have to die like this...)
• Sometimes, Chaewon likes to sing, but she can't sing for good. She sang once to Chaekyung and Chaekyung nearly felt like flipping the table. Still, Chaewon stubbornly believes that she's good at singing.
• She barely laughs in public, but that's probably for the better since her greatest laugh record is for 5 mins straight. According to her close ones, they've researched against Chaewon's laughter and these are the results they've gotten:
  Cause: Unknown. She can laugh about silly things from Chaekyung's bed hair in the morning to something as small as squishing a small ant. Her close ones have already given up on figuring out what has triggered her incessant laughter.
  Description: Imagine a dying hyena laughing. Now imagine that laughter prolong for 5 seconds. Repeat that for 5 mins. That's literally Chaewon's laughter.
  Common victims: Rapmon, Chaekyung, Yonghoon and Maya. 

⟪ FAMILY ⟫

→ Father, Ha Yonghoon : 53 : sarcastic, blunt, perfectionist : Yonghoon is actually pretty close to Chaewon, maybe because of their same sarcastic demeanour. He is also Chaewon's source of inspiration and 'guiding light' in her life. Chaewon can at least appreciate the fact that he's as blunt as a log. One of the few people who sees Chaewon's true colours.

→ Mother, Cha Yoonmi : 56 : humourous, deceptive, devious : Ironically, Chaewon is not as close to her mother even though her mother is the one who brought her up. Maybe it's just how her mother reminds her of the people in society. Her mother, unlike Yonghoon, is more deceptive and uses humour to mask her true intentions. Chaewon can never figure her out. Sometimes, Chaewon even has to hold a mask while talking to her.

→ Sister, Ha Chaekyung : 14 : witty, playful, carefree : Chaekyung and Chaewon are really close, and Chaekyung pretty much knows all of Chaewon's true colours. Still, Chaekyung is able to appreciate her sister for who she is, although she tries to tell her sister 'not to think so much'. Chaewon offers her a lot of advice about life, which Chaekyung believes dubiously.

⟪ FRIENDS ⟫

→ Ex-classmates, Maya Jenkins ⋮ 25 : A classmate whom Chaewon know when she was studying in Cambridge. Maya was both optimistic and free-spirited, and Chaewon viewed her as her younger sister when she was overseas. Till this day, Chaewon still keeps in contact with Maya to know how she's going. But Chaewon never lets Maya know what's hidden underneath her facade, because for once, she didn't want to taint her innocent mindset.

⟪ OTHERS ⟫

→ Superior, Park Haerim : 60 : Haerim is Chaewon's superior. Whenever Chaewon sees him, she would smile, but in the inside, she's actually mocking him. She absolutely detests how he oppresses his surbordinates, and she just can't wait for the day when she would get promoted and crush him, even if she knows that's highly unlikely to happen considering their age difference.

⟪ WHERE ARE THE MIRRORS IN YOUR HOUSE/APARTMENT? ⟫

There's one small mirror in the bathroom, one large one in my parents' room and one large vertical one in my sister's room. I have the most number of mirrors in my room, mainly because I'm kinda an appearance-freak. There are two long vertical ones on my wardrobe and a small one in my dressing table. I also carry a tiny mirror in my makeup box with me.

⟪ RELATIONSHIP ⟫

One iconic moment they had is when there was a new bakery shop popping up near Rapmon's shop, and Chaewon decided to try their pastries out. That bakery offered pies, something that wasn't in the menu of Rapmon's shop. She saw Rapmon there with his signature fake smile. The next day, Rapmon offered a 'special menu', consisting of pies of different flavours. Chaewon, who was greatly amused by all of this, confronted him, to which Rapmon dismissed as a 'mere coincidence'. Nevertheless, Chaewon wasn't convinced and that was when Rapmon had a 180 degree change in personality and they started bickering.

This became the common situation every time Chaewon came by Rapmon's small bakery. They often poked fun at each other for being 'fake'. Chaewon would call Rapmon 'that boot-er who follows the crowd' while Rapmon would call Chaewon 'that work frenetic who's obsessed with money'. Strangely, they never had any major fights and so, they continued to be great 'friends' in some sense. But as they got to know each other more, they began to understand and empathise with each other, knowing that there was no one else they could rely on in this world except themselves. Progressively, both of them showed the other party their true colours.

Eventually, they have feelings for each other and the first one to confess is... unsurprisingly Rapmon. He prepared a public confession, shamelessly claiming that if he publicly confessed, then Chaewon would have a more difficult time to reject him. Although Chaewon did feel like smacking him, she accepted his confession, and now their relationship is an odd mix of occasional cheesiness (which both of them claim is 'romance'), 'deep' moments and bickerings. They also nag at each other a lot, like some old married couple. Everyone gives them a sideeye because they're just such an unpredictable couple, but perhaps that's just their style. 

⟪ FIRST MEETING ⟫

She heard that there was a bakery shop near her company which became super popular, so she decided to check it out. Turns out that Rapmon is the owner of that shop. Their first interactions were nothing special... Kinda like how a salesman would interact with his client. At the surface, he seems like a regular guy who has a glib tongue, but Chaewon can sense that he was faking it since she was a faker herself. Fakers are aplenty in society, but what made Rapmon special was how ridiculously delicious his pastries were. Ever since, Chaewon went back to his shop to buy pastries for her breakfast, and she regretted it ever since (maybe not).

⟪ TRIVIA ⟫

• Chaewon had introduced Chaekyung to Rapmon once. Greatest mistake ever. Rapmon, with his sweet-talking skills, has managed to bring Chaekyung over to his side and bully Chaewon together with her.
• They like to laugh at stupid people because they're just so mean that way.
• Rapmon likes to show Chaewon affection by poking her, while Chaewon likes to squish him (typical for Chaewon).
• Sometimes, Rapmon would make the pastries sweet deliberately just to be mean to Chaewon. Even though Chaewon is pissed at him most of the time, she still goes for his pastries anyway since she's just so in love with his baking. In return, Chaewon would challenge him to a game of chess and laugh at how terribly he fails at winning.
• Rapmon's real name is Kim Namjoon, but he likes to call himself Rapmon because he believes himself to be a rapping monster. Chaewon likes to call him Rapmom instead for how mommy-like he can be sometimes. I mean, he has the baking skills to back that up for sure.

Chaewon is brutally honest and practically wears her feelings on her sleeve. She doesn't like to beat around the bush and makes sure she'll hand facts straight out to her opponents. Her forthrightness can be her fatal flaw since she doesn't quite know how to mask her own emotions well.

( "Nothing is impossible in this world. If there is a will, there is a way!" )

Chaewon is very optimistic about the future. This is partially because she has real confidence in her skills and no matter how hard things may be, she believes that miracles will happen and she will triumph all odds. Additionally, she has hope that things will eventually get better no matter how bleak things may seem, since she thinks that she'll overturn the situation no matter what. Ha Chaewon is absolute, and nobody will change that. Due to this, she is generally a bubbly person and aims to spread the joy to the people around her.

( "Life won't go straight all the time, so I need to change things a little to keep up!" )

Chaewon doesn't just stick to one safe formula; she is prepared to test out all sorts of methods to find out the best one which can lead her to victory. Therefore, she is flexible and often experiments with strategies and techniques so that she can discover the ones that fits her agile build the best. even when emergency situations happen and the plan goes wrong, Chaewon will adapt accordingly and come up with solutions to resolve the problem instinctively.

Because of how firmly she believes in her own convictions, she can be very inspiring and encourages others to be as cheerful as her and pursue their dreams and ideals (which can include something as simple as pursuing their dream careers as well as something as gruesome as killing relentlessly without regard for others' opinions). She often speaks about her values and principles with such passion that it is hard not to be taken in by her speech, no matter how extreme her ideals sound to be.

Chaewon is very competitive and she'll try to keep her enemies on their toes when they are battling against her. she refuses to surrender without a fight, so every time she battles, She treats it like her life is depending on it. Due to this, she is way too emotionally invested into battles and suffers emotional slumps when she does lose. 

( "Only a coward will hide behind the winner's back and be satisfied with what they have!" )

For the better or for the worse, Chaewon is a courageous person who likes to do whatever she believes is right. She doesn't cower from the unknown and instead faces all obstacles with spirit and spite. Perhaps this is because of her firm belief in her principles and values. Sometimes, she uses her courage for the wrong things, such as tasting the forbidden fruits of killing, stealing and so on so forth, but because of her wit, she is rarely caught, mainly because she's very agile and fast so she can run away with the speed of light before anyone can even pinpoint her as the criminal and catch up to her. However, in the event that she does get caught, she will try to use some sort of distraction. Her most common distraction that she uses is 'Hey! There's bird poop on your head!' before she runs off laughing like some banshee, in awe of her escaping skills. At other times, she would stand up against injustice (although arguably, her definition of justice seems rather twisted) and take action to create a change.

Chaewon is stubborn and does not ever change her views and principles because she believes what she says is absolute and all. Although she acknowledges that others may have different views from her, she still believes that what she says is always right. It has come to a point that she'd rather die than give up her principles, even when they're so clearly wrong. Most of the time, she seems to survive in some way so the consequences of her actions haven't caught up to her yet. The foundation of her actions and strategies basically revolves around her beliefs so it is obvious that they are of great significance to her.

( "Honestly? I don't care about your boring duties. I'm gonna play it my style." )

Whenever she is entrusted a task, Chaewon doesn't care much about it and only rolls by her own way. Therefore, she's very irresponsible and doesn't regard duties with much importance. To her, duties are a form of restriction; she wants to be able to do whatever she wants, and whatever she pleases.

( "Don't get in my way if you're going to be so useless!" )

Even though she is normally bubbly, Chaewon is short-tempered and often lets her temper loose as she cannot suppress her overwhelming bouts of anger when things do not go her way. This sometimes leads to a killing rampage or merciless torturing of her plushies. She can also commit acts of violence towards objects and even to humans. Hence, being around an angry Chaewon is definitely not something anyone would want to be stuck with.

Chaewon is very proud of herself and her skills. it comes to a point when she would enjoy boasting to people about it. Because of the sheer confidence of her skills, she grates the nerves of many people as they don't want to recognise her talents and inflate her ego even further. Despite her conceit, she still trains hard when it counts so it's not as if people can rebut her either.

( "C'mon, I just accidentally swung my flail on the other guy by accident. Must I be rebuked for that?" )

Chaewon is extremely careless and doesn't pay much attention to detail. That's because she doesn't think that details matter. As long as her ultimate motive is achieved, a few mistakes won't matter much. Due to that, she can make very fatal mistakes, and perhaps they may end up resulting in her eventual demise.

⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫

Arriving into the world...

When Chaewon was born, she was well-loved by her parents and they cherished her a lot. However, 2 years after her birth, her parents died in the war and she was left to be taken care by her aunt. Her aunt told her stories about her parents and the faction war itself. Since they were weaker, they died as a result. It was a simple principle: the weak was fed to the stronger. From young, Chaewon had made a silent resolve to take revenge for her parents. She resented the Aries faction for slaughtering her parents and so, she wanted to fight in the war for her parents' behalf. Since her aunt was part of the Deimos faction, she trained the young girl since young on combat techniques and fighting in general.

The Deimos faction realised that the child would be a great aid to them judging from how forceful her attacks were despite her relatively small stature. Not to mention, she possessed tremendous strength. They thought that they would keep her as a trump card. However, they wanted to test her capabilities to be able to handle the bloodshed on the actual battlefield, since they didn't want a weakling who couldn't even handle a little of blood. When she was twelve years old, they led her to one of the battles with the Aries faction. She could withstand the stench of blood, which was less surprising. What was more surprising was the fact that she could maniacally laugh while slaying the heads of the people in the Aries faction, like slaughtering people was the greatest joy of her life. She even questioned her leader brazenly if she could decapacitate some of the people and torture them brutally.

The leader decided that she was worthy enough. Alhough she clearly lacked battle experience and wisdom than an average Deimos member, she was courageous enough and possessed great fighting power. She was a prowess to behold, even if she might die easily. But since deaths were never the Deimos faction's concern, she was assigned to her first duty when she was thirteen. Her aunt marvelled that, and so Chaewon felt triumphant.

Exposed to the cold reality

On her second mission, she suffered a severe injury because she wasn't careful enough with her defenses. Her right arm bone was fractured, and so it rendered her powerless for 12 weeks. Chaewon was very bitter about it because that meant she had to stay at home for 12 weeks and couldn't participate in any battles. Her aunt also rebuked her for it, claiming that she should have been more careful with herself. If not, they would never win the Aries faction. After she recovered from her fracture, Chaewon was trained to be more alert with her surroundings. She went on a murder frenzy in battle and her power was pretty much unstoppable. 

When she was fifteen, she witnessed the death of her aunt right in front of her eyes. Grief overwhelmed her for the first time, but that strengthened her resolve to wipe out the whole Aries faction once and for all. She resented the fake facades that the Aries faction held, acting like they were 'kinder' when they were really as brutal as the Deimos faction. Therefore, she decided that she would tear off their fake masks by participating in the final war. Aries faction shall lose, and that is absolute.

⟪ LIKES ⟫

• Plushies. She likes to twist the limbs of plushies just for fun. She has a whole collection of plushies which are deformed and twisted. Additionally, she takes remnants of her victims' corpses and assemble them into plushies. Her favourite plush is called Ohana, in which it's made with her dead parents' body parts.
• Blood and pain. She's basically a wacko.
• Invertebrates. While she likes torturing animals, she has no interest in killing invertebrates which feel no pain. She has a strange sense of sympathy towards invertebrates, claiming that they're unfortunate animals for not being able to feel pain. She keeps some invertebrates as pets, such as ants and her favourite snail, Terminator.
• Games. She thinks that the only thing fun about life is games. Lots and lots of games. So she likes playing cat-and-mouse games with her victims.

⟪ DISLIKES ⟫

• Sugar. She thinks sugar tastes yucky.
• Boring stuff in general, like long speeches, rules and anything uninteresting. She needs something fun to play with.
• Organisation. When she sees that things are organised, it bugs her to the core and she has the urge to mess it all up. That's why the existence of the faction war kinda gives her the thrills.

• Torturing people in the most brutal way possible.
• Roleplaying random roles, or imitating people in general. She thinks it's funny when does that.

• She has the tendency to play with her hair or just twirl with it.
• She likes to squish people she likes, especially their cheeks. Sometimes, she hurts them.

• She laughs a whole lot, especially when killing people. Her greatest laugh record is for 7 mins straight.
• It may seem like Chaewon is fearless about everything, but since she is still a living being, it is only natural for her to fear something. Her greatest fear is probably failing. She can't imagine ever failing, and if she does she would rather die than fail. Additionally, she fears sleeping, because she don't know if she'll wake up again after falling asleep.
• Chaewon often has nightmares, and usually it's the same recurring one about her falling into a deep, dark, bottomless, endless abyss again and again. She thrills in the excitement, yet at the same time, she fears that what's remaining of her sanity would be swallowed up by the darkness enveloping her. Every time she wakes up, she would stare dazedly at the wall and laugh, though her laugh is always a hollow one.
• Since she's so rebellious and reckless sometimes (plus she has such sadistic tendencies that it's almost creepy), everybody pretty much hates her. Yet, they can't help but love her for how forthright she is. So she kinda has a love-hate relationship with people in general.

→ Friend, Jung Soojung/Krystal ⋮ 21 ⋮ (Facade) Aloof, indifferent, heartless, (Inside) Playful, Witty, Alert ⋮ Soojung, more renowned as Krystal among the factions, is a Deimos soldier renowned for her incredible defense. Chaewon's second mission was Krystal's first, and that was when they first met as comrades. Krystal was the first and only one to reach out to Chaewon when she was injured, so they became really close friends afterwards.

⟪ ALLIES ⟫

→ Deimos faction : Well, they're more like allies-for-benefits since the Deimos faction hardly cares if she's dead or alive. Except for Krystal and (maybe) Namjoon, she doesn't have any actual allies. Still, Chaewon really loves the Deimos faction and believes in protecting every single member inside the faction.

⟪ ENEMIES ⟫

→ Aries faction, : The members in the Aries faction fear and resent Chaewon, but Chaewon also resents them equally. They have a hateful relationship.

⟪ WEAPONRY ⟫

Her favourite weapon is the mace since it's a good weapon for torturing, and it can deliver a huge blow when swung with a large force, but should there be a rare case for quick murdering, she would opt for throwing daggers, tucked in the belt secured on her waist.

There are two types of maces she tend to use. The first type is where the spiked metal head is attached to a metal chain which is attached to the stick itself. She uses it against opponents who use long-ranged attacks like magic etc. When she gains momentum, she can swing the mace accurately at the victim's targeted body part from some distance and strike. She usually uses this for her first attack or when she has some distance between herself and her opponent. The second type is where the spiked metal head is firmly secured on the stick. She usually uses this during torturing. This mace strikes the opponent and penetrates the skin with small holes. Normally, it doesn't deliver critical blows (unless hit on a critical body part), but it causes the opponent to bleed profusely and painfully.

⟪ FIGHTING STYLE ⟫

What she likes to do, first, is to give a surprise attack. Catch the opponent off-guard and knock them down before they even know it. This is where the first mace comes in handy. However, she does like to have face-to-face battles often, since she believes it's a 'more upright' method of battling. She'll then impal her opponents with her weapon hard and strong, and this is usually effective because she is incredibly fast, and can knock her opponent down quick enough. She does like playing games, so very often, she would go easy on her first few attacks unless she deems the situation necessary for her to use her final death strike. She usually likes decapitating people or slashing away at their weak spots, like their eyes.

She also likes pairing up with Namjoon and Krystal. Namjoon is incredible at magic and long-ranged attacks, so he can serve as her backup should she need help. Krystal, on the other hand, can serve as the 'first-wall' defense with her ability to withstand fatal attacks while Chaewon serves as the main attacker who hits the fatal point of her opponent. 

⟪ EQUIPMENT ⟫

She has her two maces and a belt secured to her waist, filled with small knives, needles, ropes, daggers and a small mirror. Additionally, she has other weird things like pepper and small grenades in her pockets, used as distractions. 

⟪ STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES ⟫

STRENGTHS: Chaewon is a master of tricks and she likes to use distractions/funny actions to attempt to distract her opponents before going for the final kill. Her seemingly cute facade may also seem harmless and deceiving, which she uses it as an advantage to aim for the kill. She's also very sneaky and can sneak behind her enemy's back without them noticing before swiftly decapitating them. She has incredible physical strength and when agitated, her force is unstoppable. Furthermore, her speed is extraordinary, and people can barely keep up with her seemingly simple but fast movements. She is also versatile with her usage of weapons and can adapt to situations accordingly.

WEAKNESSES: Chaewon has very low defense which serves as her greatest weakness. Once someone catches her off-guard or uses magic against her, she is literally doomed, so she has to stay alert at all times and react quickly enough. The problem is she is very vulnerable to surprise attacks since she is usually too focused on attacking. With training, her awareness towards her surroundings has improved over time, but it's stil not her strength. Additionally, she underestimates her opponents quite a lot of times so that can also cause her demise. Because she's not an incredibly intelligent person, her blind attacks without strategic planning can result in her eventual doom.

⟪ POWER ⟫

Chaewon's power is the epitome of darkness. She calls it 'the Illusion of Death'. Basically, she can create a horrifying scenery in people's heads where they feel as if they are experiencing their greatest fear, which demoralises them and makes them feel like dying just so that they can escape this illusion. That fear can be death of their own self, death of their loved ones, or just anything, really. This power is incredibly useful when Chaewon is facing strong opponents, and she can use this to weaken their spirit and go in for the kill easily.

However, this illusion only lasts for a very short 2 minutes, and can only be used against a person once. If the person manages to survive that 2 minutes, they are basically invincible to this power for their whole lives. Additionally, if the person has an incredibly strong will and realises that it is an illusion and remains mentally unaffected by the ordeal, it is possible for them to break from the illusion before the 2 minutes are up. 

⟪ HAVE YOU EVER ENTERED EARTH-REALM? ⟫

Yes! A few times, in fact. I love exploring new places. Hehe. When I turned 10, I went into Earth-realm out of curiosity. I did see my counterpart, but she looked so stuck-up and stiff. So boring! That's why I didn't introduce myself to her. After going there a few times, I think it's a terribly boring place so I never went there again.

⟪ WHERE WOULD YOU LIKELY GO IN EARTH-REALM? ⟫

Where, huh? That's such a difficult question to answer. I would like to go everywhere if it's possible. But hmm, I think going to crowded places may be a good idea, so that I can plan an attack and bomb the place up. It would be chaotic, right?

⟪ RELATIONSHIP ⟫

They pretty much complement each other in terms of fighting. Usually, Namjoon is the one giving Chaewon advice on normal battle techniques, while Chaewon does speed training with Namjoon. Outside of training, Namjoon strangely spoils Chaewon way too much. True, he's usually all smiley towards other people, but that's just a facade. Rarely is he ever so lenient towards someone. Even when Chaewon makes mistakes, he always tolerates her with a seemingly genuine smile. For the most part, the two appear to have a rather amicable relationship. Chaewon is her usual bubbly self in front of Namjoon with the occasional shy glances and smiles, while Namjoon is just... Namjoon. Always forgiving and welcoming. And it almost seems genuine. However, in reality, their relationship is actually pretty twisted. They do understand that in a faction war, either one of them can die at any time, so Chaewon would always tell Namjoon, "If you ever die, I'll make you into a nice plushy. Don't worry about me, Namjoon." Namjoon would reply back, "Don't worry, Chaewon. If need be, I'll kill you myself." They promise each other not to get too attached, because when there's a possibility that either of them can die on the spot, emotions can kill both of them. So, they say, "Let us just be a catalyst for one another... a catalyst, and nothing more."

⟪ FIRST MEETING ⟫

Their first meeting occurred in the field at night. Both of them like to train on the same patch of field at night, and they happened to chance upon each other. They unexpectedly clicked very well during their first meeting, though it was mainly because Chaewon was very intrigued with Namjoon's magic staff. She was amazed by the magic prowess that he had, and bugged him to be her teacher. Initially, Namjoon was somewhat annoyed that a random kid just disrupted his training. Nonetheless, he did notice that Chaewon had the potential to excel and decided to observe her for a little more. 

⟪ TRIVIA ⟫

• When Namjoon first met Chaewon, Chaewon didn't know he was in the Aries faction until he revealed that to her later on. However, he promised that his heart belonged to the Deimos faction, and Chaewon trusted him.
• Namjoon likes to show Chaewon affection by poking her, while Chaewon likes to squish him.
• They like to laugh over killing and torturing things being the true psychos that they are.
