Personality 

Glass is half full: Yumiko tends to think the best possible thing will happen, and hopes for it even if it's not likely. She tries to keep a positive outlook on almost everything if she can although it isn't always easy she prefers it this way. She believes that nothing bad lasts and that things always get better even it if doesn't seem that way it will. She doesn't let herself dwell on any of the bad things for to long if she can help it in anyway. Yumi believes that she is responsible for her happiness, and that more good things than bad will continue to happen to her. She also believes that bad or negative events are rare and that it is not her fault when something bad happens.

 

Caring: Yumi is always there for her family and friends whether it be helping them to do something or just listening to them when they need to talk about something that may be bothering them. Be it going to buy her mom groceries, making her a meal and just sitting and talking together. She's that shoulder to cry on, understanding her family and close friends feelings without being judgemental..

 

GOOD Natured:When Yumiko gets comfortable around people she does her best to always be friendly and pleasant to be with. She is open to others views, and will never use curse words. She's always straight in her dealings, honest to the core and helpful to one and all without any discrimination.

 

Reserved: Yumiko she tends to be secretive until she gets close to people and trusts then. She also prefers to stick to herself, and doesn't need people to talk to all the time. She can handle being independent and alone without an issue it doesn't bother her one bit, she kind of enjoys it sometimes . More often then not she doesn't speak up very often unless asked something by someone.

 

UNAGRESSIVE: Yumiko she prefers to talk things out when she gets involved in conflict and that is if she can't avoid it at all. She doesn't see the need in having to fight over a disagreement that escalated more then likely that lead to the person wanting to fight. She just doesn't like any type of agressive behavior be it actions, words, gestures, and anything else it just seems silly and pointless and more often then not it just leads to more anger and getting in trouble, so she just does all she can to stay peaceful and avoid fighting and agressive and crude behavior tend to make her uncomfortable.

 

Tidy: Yumiko has to always be eat and organised, She tends to pay extra close attention to details and have nothing out of place if it is possible she likes to keep things in their places. Yumi likes her things organized in alphabetical order and clean. She has to she can't stand messes she needs to have her things all together so all she has to do is go to where she put it and get it and she's good to go. Otherwise it takes her forever to get ready and that's a waste of time to her when she could be doing so many other things other then worrying about where her things are

 

. QUIET: Yumiko tends to stay silent and not actually say much unless she has no choice but to or she's around family and her closest friends and even her little entourage of people that she has. Other then that she is quiet she doesn't see the need to be loud or noisy or cause a commotion so she just stays quiet maybe it"s because she is shy and doesn't know how to approach others, she just simply doesn't feel like her voice needs to be heard by everyone off stage on stage she pushes this aside to the best of her ability and lets her talent shine.

 

Shy: Yumiko has trouble communicating with new people, the opposite , outgoing people, and just people she isnt close to in general. the case. She at times longs for a big group of friends, but just can’t bring herself to reach out and put herself into that situation.

 

Sensitive:criticism is terrible to Yumi. She often go to great lengths to avoid it. She fears pain, more then most people. She scares easily and is more sensitive to violence and frightening situations, even in movies. She hates loud noises That static on the radio when people have a bad signal, the baby screaming next to her, the car alarm down the street, she lets them fill her head. She feels the extreme need to either quiet the noise or get away from it as soon as possible. 

 

 

 

Background Yumiko was born to a loving mom and dad who she loves and they love her. Being an only child she was given a lot of what she asked for such as dance classes which they let her start when she turned 3 years old and she continues to take them to this very day it's what she focused on until she started school. In school Yumiko did Okay mainly B's the occasional A and once in a while she would get a C. Her parents weren't to mad as long as she did her best they would always be proud of her mainly because they felt bad they worked a lot and didn't really help her with her homework. When she got into Middle school is when she officially got into K-pop it was thanks to her Choir teacher who assigned everyone in her class a K-pop song to perform and she was assigned paparazzi by girls generation. From that day on Yumi took interest into K-pop and was a big fan of Girls generation. 8th grade year her mother had Gotten a Job offer in Seoul and accepted it and so they moved. When Yumiko heard that they would be moving she was beyond excited because thanks to girls generation she could wanted to become a performer and in Seoul if she tried hard enough she was sure she'd get accepted. Yumiko talked to her parents and they agreed only on the addition she wait till her 9th grade year. Yumiko was happy to agree and began to look into different companies she might be interested in auditioning for. It took her a good two months to decide she wanted to try out for JYP, cube, and Happy face.When her 9th grade year came she went to audition she'd failed to pass both JYP's audition and cubes as well. Yumiko at this point jad wanted to give up but she remembered that she still had Happy face and after waiting a month and a half perfecting a song and dance she confidently went into Happyface and somehow managed to make it.

— Mom/ Takahashi Hotaru / 43 / Tidy, Vain, family oriented / Travel Agent/ They don't really interact much because her mother's more often then not busy but when she isn't and they can hang out the two will go to a spa or have a girl's day or not to get away from the stress of work for her mother and training for Yumiko.

 

— Dad / Takahashi Goro/ 45 / Loud, sweet, funny / Teacher/ The two of them when her dad has off watch TV, go for walks and just hang out and talk about how they've both been. The two support each other and push each other to keep working because they both can be a bit lazy at times so they are each other's motivation especially when it comes to her practicing at home and him grading papers.

 

— Best Friend / Majima Saki/ 19 / Clumsy, sweet, pessimistic/ Waitress/ Best friends since diapers the two of them did everything together and they still to well for the most part since they're a country away from each other. The two are always texting each other and calling each other when they can and making sure the other is OK. When they have the money Saki sends  her food and things from Japan and Yumi sends her things from Korea

 

— Close Friend/ Park Mijung / 18 / Competitive, Tidy, clingy/ Happy Face trainee / Mijung and Yumiko were trying out the same day and began talking and the two had agreed that if they both get in they would support each other and make sure that they do there best and to their suprise both of them actually made it so they made sure to work hard and help each other out Yumiko helping Mijung with her dance and Mijung helping Yumiko with her singing.. Yumi had a decent voice but no vocal training what so ever do Mijung would give her tips. The two of them always get lunch together and help each other practice after practice is over so they could be equal and possibly in the future Debut together.

— Good Friend/ Park Geun/ 21 / Amiable, aspiring,competitive, obedient,complacent, compulsive / Happy Face trainee / Other then Mijung Geun was the first trainee that she'd met that had been there longer then her. Their meeting was accidental but Yumiko is glad they did she'd bumped into him when walking out of one of the dance rooms and he'd gotten a bit mad at first. Yumiko apologized and offered to buy him a snack or coffee to make up for it since she was sure he'd be as hungry as she was or even more so depending on how long he'd been training. He agreed on the coffee and for a couple minutes before their next practice or lesson. They got to know each other better as time went along and Yumiko felt safe and comfortable around him. So she stuck to him a lot when she could. Geun would keep an eye on her when he could . Yumiko when she found out that they were both auditioning was beyond estatic because at first she'd been so worried but Geun reassured her that things would turn out just fine and they'd be there to support each other.

Trainee years 3 years.

 

Trainee life   Yumiko had a hard time when she was a trainee being shy and quiet she had a hard time actually making any friends with the trainees. She just stuck to herself and focused on practicing and learning everything that they could teach her only talking to the trainer's and workers if she had to and when she had to. She didn't mind the quiet but she would've liked to have some friends so when Mijung started hanging out with her more and Dami introduced herself and started to hang around her it made things a little easier after a while she didn't feel as alone and she still had Saki who would check up on her on occasion. She still struggled sometimes when she was criticized she'd get upset and almost cry so she would have to excuse herself for a few minutes and then come back. She did the best that she could at everything they threw her way and worked on talking to peoplshe didn't know because she knew she was going to have to even if it made her uncomfortable it was part of being an idol.

What was your reason for joining produce 101? Honestly my company and Me myself think it would be a good way for me to improve my talents and help with my shyness. It would also give people a chance to see what Happyface is actually capable of 



What was your main focus when training? vocal? dance? rap? My main focus was dance and a bit of singing .

 

What class are you expecting to enter in the first episode? I believe I'll get a B or a C I don't really mind to much I'd just like to be higher then a D.

 

What do you think your final rank will be? Honestly speaking I think I could make it to the top 20 at #20 but there isn't really any telling because I'm sure there are so many amazing trainees that'll be taking part.

 

Do you think you'll be able to make it to the final group? if so, why? I think I have a slight chance not a huge one I think this because I'm good at dancing and have a decent voice I've been dancing since I was four so I'm pretty confident.

 

What do you think sets you apart from the other trainees on the show? I come all the way from Japan and sure there might be others from Japan but I'm from Hiroshima specifically and I have a unique Name.



What song do you plan to perform for your first evaluation in front of the judges? I plan to perform Dreamcatcher's Chase me for my first evaluation
