PERSONALITY :　
Hard-working : There's a saying 'if you want it, earn it' and Yejin definitely follows that saying. She works hard to get what she wants. She's a top student during her school years and she's a great student council president. Yejin always try her best to get evrything get done and she is one of those people who'll try her best in everything and makes sure that she doesn't screw up anything. She would work her off to get what she wants and she always do it in fair way. She never cheat and doesn't like people who cheats.

Caring : She makes sure that no one gets left behind because she herself doesn't like being left behind. Yejin always put a lot of cares on people around her and on everything that she does. She deeply care for those who are close to her.

Intellegence : She's a top student, of course she has this intellegence-aura surrounding her. People around her could 'detect' this aura of her. Whenever she speaks, she always speak nicely and kindly. She has this kind of charm for people around her

Honest : Yejin can't lie, she just can't do it. She's bad at lying. She doesn't like it when people around her lied to her so she never lie to anyone.

Fearless : This trait created her sarcastic trait, she's so bold and honest that she develop this fearless trait. If she doesn't like it, she would say it. She would stand up for anyone who she saw in trouble or danger. This trait became the reason how she strated figure skating.

Perfectionist or ambitious : Because of her hard-working trait, she adopt this negative trait. She would do anything all over again if she think it's not perfect enough. She makes sure that she doesn't mess up and do everything up to her standards whi is very high. Because of this triat, she has this condition called OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). her room are very tidy to the point you can't even find any dust in it. She wants to be the best and always put a high standards for herself.

Self-deprecating : When she thinks she fails or can't keep up with her own standards, she would thinks she is the worse out of all. She would cry herself to sleep or hides in the bathroom. She wants to be the best so when she fails, she fall hard.

Sarcastic : An honest person always says what they see or feel, this is exactly what Yejin does. She always comment on something according to what she feels or sees. A lot of people who ask for her opinion know that they must be ready for any sarcasm comment she'll throw to them. 

Impatience : She always on-tie so she doesn't like people who are late. She doesn't like it when people doesn't understand what she wants or when she has to explain something over and over again.

Strict : Sometimes she appears to be so strict to others who she think are not up to her standards. She's so strict to herself and set a boundaries that she won't cross. Yejin maintains her own figure because she wants to the be athlete that not only talented but also good-looking, she knows that figure skating also means people will look at her 'figure'.

BACKGROUND :　
Yejin was born as Im Yejin on 17th July 1994 in Seoul, South Korea. She was born as the only child in the family. Her father is a CEO of Standard Chartered Korea, his name is Im Wonjoo. Her mother was a professor at Korea National Univeristy, School of Dance. She was a soloist under Korea National Ballet before stopped her career to married and teaching at KNUARTS. Her name was Lee Taeha. Yejin started learning ballet at the age of 4 because of her mom, she watched her mom's recital through the video that was recorded by her father and very interested in ballet.

Yejin attended Cheongdam Elementary School. She learns ballet from age 4 until 8, she stopped after tried ice skating in an ice rink. She said that she wanted to try figure skating that for her "looks like a ballet but you won't wear the killing pointe shoe". She started learning skating at the age of 8, there weren't a lot of ice rink back then so she used to get up really early or spent the night to practice with her coach. Her coach name was Kim Janghoon. Janghoon himself was a former figure skater but stopped after an injury on his legs, stopped his professional figure skater career. Because of the lack professional ice rink, Yejin would got some injuried because the ice rink was too cold. Yejin started her career in 2003 South Korea National Championship which she placed 2nd. After that she started to trains at Toronto during summer for 7 years. Since then she changed her coach and choreogpraherto Brian Orser which also known to be Kim Yuna's coach. 

Yejin competed in several figure skating championship from 2003 until 2013, whenever she competed with Yuna she will always be the second best. Yejin won the senior title at South Korea National Championship at the age of 14 in 2008. She continued her chmapion title until 2010. She started competed in Junior Grand Prix in 2009. She competed in Grand Prix Final in 2011 then competed in World Championship in the same yearuntil 2013. She competed once in Olympics during 2010, she placed second. Her last championship was the World Figure Sating Championship in 2013 where she again placed second. Throughout her career Yejin only managed to win 1st place five times and 2nd for over ten times. She stopped her skating career because she was injured in season 2010-2011 and the injury didn't heal right away. The doctor said that she must took a season off then she decided to left the professional skating world.

Yejin has a close relationship with Kim Yuna as they usually competed together. Yejin has a 'bodyguard' and best friend hired by her father to accompany whenever she went to Toronto for training. His name is Lee Hyunsik. He is 10 years older than Yejin. he's fluent in five languages and was a ROK Air Force member during his military service. Hyunsik has been her best friend, brother, and bodyguard in various ways. Yejin's mother passed away while she was competing in 2006. Her mother was suffering from Cervix Cancer for years before passed away in 2006. It left a big impact in her and Hyunsik was the one who helped her to cope up with the situation. Her father wants to help but due to his busy schedules, he can't be with her all the time and trusted her into Hyunsik's care. Hyunsik's father is Yejin's father's personal driver for years and has trusted him fully. Hyunsik look at Yejin and treats Yejin as his own sister and Yejin also looks at him and treats him as her own brother. They don't see each other as female and male.

Yejin quit her athlete career and focused on her study. She attended Sunhwa Arts School for her middle school and high school years. She wants to remember her mom by learning ballet again, so she attended the Arts School. She took the dance department and learns ballet. She is a prominent dancer in the school and accepted to KNUARTS with a high entrance exam score and great interview result. She entered KNUARTS in 2013. During her college years she would performs as the soloist or pas de deux. She injured her legs badly in 2015 and have to take an absence for a year to recover. She was deppresed, Hyunsik tried his best to cheer her up. Somehow during her absence, she discovered a new interest in modern dancing. She looked up to a couple videos of dancer such as Kyle Hanagami, Parris Goebel, 1Million Studio Dance, and even Matt Steffanina. She grow an interest in modern dance and eventually wanted to try out modern dance. After she came back from her leave on absence from KNUARTS, she eventuallly started to dance modern dance too.

     ▸ Ice cream; this is her stress reliever.
     ▸ Snow; winter is Yejin's favorite season, she loves white and she loves something puffy so she loves snow. She likes to went out and plays snow during winter, winter is also the time where a lot of ice rink was created.
     ▸ Milk; she has this weird habit of drinning milk 1 lt. everyday, she would bring a two big tumblers in her bag everywhere she goes. One with milk ad one with mineral water
     ▸ Wine; her family owns a wine storage with almost 3000 wine bottles in it, loves wine since a little

     ▸ Drawing; as much as she loves arts, she can't draw at all so she doesn't like drawing but enjoys other people's art works
     ▸ Cucumber; Yejin thinks that cucumber are sticky and slimey, not her typical foods
     ▸ Hot weather; she hates summer because of the sun's heat, she's not the typical people who loves being burn by the sun because her skin easily get red if she got burn by the sun
     ▸ Raisins; her biggest enemy, she hates everything with raisins in it. Her brothers would fool her, put a raisin in her breakfast so that she'll gave it to them because she wont' eat it.
       ▸ Late and lazy people; she always works in quite fast pace and on-time, so she never likes people who got in her way with being lazy and late

     ▸ Drinking a litre of milk everyday; milk is her life, literally
     ▸ Stays late to dance ballet; ballet has been her life for years, she couldn't let it go just like that
     ▸ Bitting her lips while doing something; her habit since a little, sometimes she also stick her tongue out for no reason
     ▸ Work harder whenever she's angry or upset; she never let her emotion affects her life so she tends to overowkr herself whenever she's upset or angry

Her father supports anything that she wants and never really comlain on anything that she does. He is very open-minded and let her to do anything that she wants. He loves her very much although he mostly spend his time in the office or business trip. He loves her because he only has her, he already lost his wife so he doesn't want to lose her too.

Hyunshik works for her father and has been with her for 12 years now. Hyunsik knows her very well and they always talk to each other about everything. Yejin doesn't need to speak because he already knows what she wants to say. Hyunsik treats her like his own family, he cares for her like a brother to a sister. Hyunsik is 10 years older than her but really close with her. He dresses casually and even follows the trend well. Hyunsik has married with a florist named Park Soyul, they have a 5 years old daughter named Lee Hyunae. Yejin is very fond of her daughter. Hyunsik went home during holidays to spends time with his family. Yejin's father pays for all of Hyunae's expense.

Yuna is someone she looks up and adores. They're close since they competed in tha National Championship on 2003. Yuna gives her a lot of advices as Yejin is 4 yrears younger than her. They also trained by the same coach, Brian Orser during 2007-2008, 2008-2009, and 2009-2010 seasons. Yuna is a sister for her and they both are very close. Since Yejin only focused on her career, Yuna has become her only friend. After Yejin left the professional figure skater world, Yuna then expressed her desire to left her athlete days too. Their closeness was well known, that's how Yejin got the nickname 'Princess' because people would misunderstand them as sibings because they're so close.

▸ "It means that we're the top, we're the best, and we came to take over the industry like a storm. It also kind of like ... a women empowerment? I mean, it clearly shows that girls can slay and rule the world"

why be part of it? : 

▸ "I want to do something that has been my life, which is dancing. I want to show to the people that following what your hearts wants isn't hurt. I was so depressed when I found out that professional ballerina career was out of league for me because of my injury, and then i found something that I love. I want to express my life on the stage, to tell my stories to the people."

tell me about your experience in entertainment business, if any : 

▸ "I has no experience in the entertainment industry, but being a professional athlete has brought me several contact with the cf filming and being an ambassador for some brands. Professional athlete worlds is just like entertainment industry but sometimes could be harsher than entertainment."

what do you think of the group being independent? : 

▸ "It's great and exciting at the same time but also made me nervous. During my athlet days, I was managed by IB Sports (an athlete management in Korea) but now that I've stopped and being scouted to independent girlgroup like this is very challneging for me. It's a good think though, I mean we can do whatever we want, what kind of concept we want, what kind of job we want to take and we don't want to. But we might also get some discrimination because we're not from the big three or any company."
