Soojin was fun, easy-going and loves to fool around. She is the believer of 'rules are made to be broken' thing. She never really follow any rules in her life except she must to. Soojin is friendly to a lot of people and has a broad-knowledge about things. If you ask any question, she would quickly answer it because she knows the right answer. Soojin loves fooling around, but not pranking. She just loves throwing jokes and her punch lines. Sometimes she would laughs at her own imagination so you could say she's a 4D. Her imagination is beyond anyone's imagination. Soojin also a hard-working person because she will never give up on anything. Her hard-working will shows the first time you meet her, she even won't give up on math problems which she actually hates till death. She's very honest and loyal except if someone betrays her, she won't trust that person anymore.Although she is quite friendly, she loves her own me-time. She likes to spend her time alone during gloomy weather or rainy weather. Reading books and writing are her hobbies that you can't imagine. People who just know her won't believe is you tell them she loves to read especially reading english literature books and others. She does look like someone with empty-head because of her playful traits but actually she's very intellegent. Sometimes she's moody so you also should becareful with her.

Her hard-working traits creates a negative trait for her which perfectionist. She won't stop until she thinks it's perfect, that's how she got her OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). You won't find any mess or dust in her room. This is another hidden trait of her, people who just know her would think she's your typical messy-funny-witty person which she's not. She's very serious when it comes to working and practicing but after the training sessions ended she would play around again. Her seriousness in practicing also makes her become strict. People would thought she has two different personalities because of this too. Sometimes she would be sarcastic when she hears people asking some retorical questions especially when she's in her mood-swings. Her sarcasm is beyond your level of sarcasm, the first sentence that would came out from is 'what the hell'. Her honesty also could brings out her sarcasm, for example someone asks her 'what do you think about this dress?', if she think it doesn't that person she would answer 'Well if you're asking for diplomatic answer it would be yes but honestly, no. That's , I mean, you're with that dress'. Her believe in the 'rules are made to be broken' also creates her rebel personality, she would break the law and would never think she's in fault, she would give out rational explaination. You could say, she's clever enough to keep herself out of trouble.

⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫

Soojin was born as Jin Soojin in Manhattan, New York City, New York, United States. Her father is a neurosurgeon and the vice-chairman of Department of Neurosurgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. His name is Jin Junhyuk or also known as Andrew Jin. Meanwhile her mother is the general manager for Bergdorf Goodman in Fifth Avenue, her name is Son Mihye or Amelia Son. her parents are Korean who moved to the States to pursue their bachelor degree (father went to NYU School of Medicine and her mother went to NYU,Stern). She is the oldest of two and has a younger brother who is two years younger than her. Her brother was born in 1999 and is now a soon-to be freshman in University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine, his name is Jin Woojin or Christian Woo Jin. Woojin inherited his sister's rebelness so he was sent to Eton College at the age of 13. Soojin lives in the affluent neighborhood for years before moved to Switzerland for studying.

She attended regular academic school, Birch Wathen Lenox School until grade 6. Not only genius, she also a rebel but not a lot of teacher told her off because she didn't have any problem with her scores. Her rebelness was shown ever since she was a little but her rebelness started to wrosen as she skipped school to go to the arcade with her friends when she was in fourth grade, she and her friends were reprimanded by the teachers but her parents decided  to let her as it was her first skipping-thingy. Her parents' patience ran out when she skipped the school to watch movies with her friends when she was in fifth grade. They decided to sent her to a boarding school, not in England but to St.George's International School, a boarding school located in the residential suburb of Clarens, near Montreux, overlooking Lac Leman and the Alps, Switzerland. Soojin didn't like their decision but just got along with it.

She moved after she finished her grade 6 to started year 7 in St.George's. She attended the school until she gradated from year 13. In that school, she met a lot of people from all around the world. She also learns French as her second language class. Soojin was also on of the top student back then. Soojin learned tennis the first time in that school and eventually fell in love with that sport. She also plays piano and the main pianist for the school's orchestra. In senior school, she learned golf and also joined the club as she loved th sport just like tennis. She was the school council's president for three years consecutive years. Soojin loves being with her friends from different countries and hardly ever skipped class. Soojin met her-now-best friend Anna Keen who came from Seattle, they both had the same history on why they were sent to St.George as a boarding student. Anna is the one who introduces her to Eminem's music. Soojin started listening to his music and started to listening to hip-hop music. She also met her-alo-current best friend Kang Haneul who loves Tiger JK and Yoon Mirae's music. The three of them became best friends since the first time they met.

Soojin graduated from St.George's International School as a valedictorian and went back to New York in June 2015. Although she stopped all her 'rebel-symptopms', her parents didn't allow her to take a degree for anything related with art. So she decided to went to South Korea, her parents' origin. Her parents asked her to attend SNU so she attended Seoul National University's Department of International Relation and Political Science, majored in international relation. Soojin still loves music and started writing her own lyrics, during her free-time she would go to Hongdae with Haneul who also went back to Seoul. They loves watching underground rappers concert in Hongdae. Soojin loves going to Illionaire Records concert and a big fan of Dok2 and Beenzino. Soojin also loves listening to Verbal Jint and Epik High especially Tablo. She also loves performing during her college's festival, even rapping to her own song that she wrote. She wrote Getting'Em and that song instantly became a hit among the students in SNU. In late 2015, she was approached by a scout after performing in the university's festival. The scout stated herself as a scout of SM Entertainment. She asked Soojin to come and did an audition, the scout was interested in her looks and Soojin just followed her. So she did an audition and got accepted for her rapping skill. 

Soojin entered SM in November 2015. Her parents agreed to her as long as she finished her college, they said that she has followed all of their rules including being sent abroad and entering SNU. So Soojin started her training and also will be graduaed from SNU in 2019.

Quite close, although he rarely spends time with her due to his job he's close with his only daughter. He bought her an Audi RS 5 Coupe for her 18th birthday. Her father wants the best for her and actually supports anything that she wants to do but after seeing she skipped the class and all in such a young-age. He knows that Soojin could do a lot of worse things in the future if he didn't stop her so he came up with the broading school idea. He constantly calls her during weekend and insisted that she should attended regular college, not art because he didn't want her to wandering around like a failed-artist. He doesn't pamper her but more like shows her the reality of life, he would only give her what she wants if she proves it that she really wants it.

Her mother was a rebel in the past so she understand Soojin's behaviour but didn't want her to go out of control so she agreed to her husband's idea of boarding school. She loves Soojin and very caring towards her, she loves asking for her daughter's suggestion and comment about her new marketing style. She would give out necklace or any jewelry from her the store as a gift for both of her children. A type of mother who would calls Soojin everyday.

Woojin and Soojin are very close. Although they have two years difference but they act like a twins and he even inherited her rebel trait. Woojin is also a top student in his school and also the basketball team's captain in his school. Woojin loves fooling around with Soojin and never forget to celebrate their birthday together. Woojin is taller than Soojin and very attractive that sometimes when he came to visit Soojin in her university, her friends thought that he is her boyfriend. He loves to hang out with Soojin and always visits Soojin during his summer breaks. He still likes to call her 'SooSoo'

Haneul is the daughter of Hanhwa Group's CEO and Chairman, she was sent to St.George because of the same reason as Soojin. Haneul was enrolled in Seoul Banpo Elementary School and was sent to St.George at the same time with Soojin. They became friends and she is the one who introduces Soojin to korean hip hop world. Haneul is a moth older than Soojin but way more immature than Soojin. Haneul loves to annoy Soojin while she was studying and the one who would drag Soojin to Hongdae during weekend. She decided to choose SM becaus she loves entertainment industry, she doesn't really fond of his father's business.

Anna met Soojin and Haneul during their first year in, she is a daughter of doctor-studded family and was sent to the school to follow her brothers' step. Anna doesn't fancy being the attention as all of her family graduated from St.George. Anna loves listening to various hip hop and rapper songs. Anna visits Korea every winter and spends time with Soojin and Haneul, they speak English mostly. Anna was the one who would encourage both Soojin and Haneul to study as the both of them quite lazy to study although they're smart.

Haneul introduced Soojin to the EXO members back in 2015 when Soojin was given a free ticket from Haneul to their concert. Baekhyun is some-what Haneul's some-friend. They hang out a lot together, Soojin also grow closer with him. Baekhyun think that Soojin was quite funny but charming at the same time, he thinks of her as his sister that he never could has. Baekhyun doesn't understand how she was a valedictorian because he can't see any 'intellegent' aura from her.

Koyuki entered SM earlier than Soojin, although she's a sunbae-trainee, Koyuki is actually in the same age and even younger by a couple months than Soojin. Koyuki has a best friend named Jo Saeran, Koyuki is really kind and help Soojin to cop up with the training life. Soojin adores Koyuki's voice very much and would ask for vocal tips from her.

Saeran is Koyuki's best friend. Soojin met them when she entered the class for the first time. The two were looked quite scary but they helped Soojin a lot. Jaewon finds her really talented and guides her through her trainee years. Unlike any other trainees, Soojin practice a lot and never give up on anything. She will chat with Jaewon in the midnight after her training in the practice room or his studio, sometimes he would give her some suggestions. Jaewon also guide her in writing songs or lyrics.

Soojin entered with only rapping skills and growing dancing skills. She is a trainee for a year and a couple months now. Unlike any other trainee in SM, her main training is rapping and dancing. She is trained in vocal but that's not her main focus. The company also focused her to write lyrics everyday and let her to spend her time in a private small studio in the company. She interact a lot with other trainees. Soojin was introduced as SM Rookies' member 6 months after se joined the company which is in May 2016. She was one of the four trainee that was trained by Jaewon in writing and composing. Soojin works hard just like how she works hard during school to be the first. Working hard is nothing for her but training is like a whole new world for her. She can't control the things that she would get or coming to her. She need to stay in her best if she wants to make the cut for the new girlgroup. She is a skilled rapper and growing singer also dancer.

Sehun always try to be there for Soojin, they both know what each other's like and don't. People around them know well that they have feelings for each other but they just don't want to start a relationship yet, they're currently some-ing. Sehun would spend his night with Soojin on SM building or watching a sunset together on the rooftop and hanging out until 2 or 3 a.m. Sehun is not a morning person so Soojin would call him to wake him up, makes sure that he won't be late for his schedule. They are not the type of couple who would text each other once in an hour or call each other hourly. They only text each other when they need and call when they can't meet at night. They think that spending time together is more precious than spending the time texting each other and can't talk in person.

Like Baekhyun said 'they speak the same language' as sometime they both are laughing over something that no one knows what's so funny about it.Sehun always try to spend times with her whenver he coud, run over when he heard she's in pain. They would worry about each other when one of them are injured. The other EXO members also said that "Sehun treats her like a Queen, we could see the honey dripping out from his eyes whenever he see her." Soojin loves having Sehun as a company, she would tell him her worries without doubt anymore. She would tell him about anything that bothers her a lot. They tends to act like friends instead of lovers in front a lot of people sometimes even shouting at each other just for fun. They tends to chat rather than having a phone call or video call, Soojin loves seeing him in person rather through a video. His fans know that he has a female friend and understand them for that. Sehun makes sure that their private life is private, he would shiled her rather than shileding himself when they're going out.

Haneul have started works for SM when Soojin became a trainee and she mostly hangs out with EXO because she tends to work with them a lot of time. Haneul is also going out with Baekhyun for two years now, she introduced Soojin to the members. At first Sehun wasn't really interested in Soojin and keep silent when the others were talking with her. But a few months later, Soojin was waiting for Haneul in one of the practice room and Sehun saw her. He tried to engaged her in some conversation. Somehow they found out that they share a lot in common and they exchaged their numbers. Sehun starts asking her to hang out with him. Sometimes they only sit and talk but they also like to watch a movie together.

He took his time to get to know her Sehun wants to make sure that Soojin confortable with him. He doesn't want to hurry up and ask her to be his girlfriend. He wants them to take the time and sure that their relationship will progress slowly. They will start dating after 5 years knowing each other which mean in 2020. Her members are very suportive even sometime help her to get away from their manager to see Sehun. Haneul and Baekhyun are their best match-maker. He loves to pamper her a lot whch sometimes she complains because she never being pampered by anyone. Sehun love to annoys her and to buy her things. He never hesitate to buy or do something for her. Although he would look quite ignorant and expresionless, he is very affectionate and caring towards Soojin.
