I did say that I would try and blog and update more often. But, I havent been able to do that in a while. It's been about two months since I last blogged. Yeah, so my whole attempt to get more in touch with my blogging was a failure.

Life has kind of gotten in the way, work, writing and building familiar bridges has taken the front seat. It's all a bit hard to do, but i'm trying to manage!

The good news is that I have been writing a bit more. I've been able to update my joint fic i'm writing with TattleTheTale. We have a lot planned for that, but it's not updated as much as i would like. Because we both have lives and stuff we wanna write.

I'm also writing another fic, an alternative story to the Youngjae fic series. It's in third person, so it's challenging me and my writing skills. It's also chockful of different characters. New and old, and there has been a shift in different storylines and situations.

Jeonghwa of EXID has more of a leading spot in this fic. She is a character I touched a little on in my old fics, and her relationship with Youngjae was barely explored.  In this first fic (I don't seem to be able to write  just one fic, I have to do a series apparently) we will look at Jeonghwa and the mystery surrounding her nightmares.

Its totally fun writing this fic because I get to change certain things dramatically, and play with relationships and characteristics of the people i had written for before.

For example, Jeonghwa. She kind of has it together in the older fics, she knows from a young age her place in the pack and that it's the town she has to protect and she loves a certain human who can't love her in the way she wants. It's tragic and kind of pathetic in a way. She's totally the second lead character in k dramas that i fall for every time.

In this alternative world. Jeonghwa has issues of her own to sort out. She is a wolf who is having trouble with her bursts, she's having the same reoccuring nightmare. Her father is  overprotective.  She has a frenemy she has to watch out for. And a strange love life.

Jeongha is romantically involved with Changkyun. They are close, she's also close to Hyojin. However there's tension there and it's fun writing for that. The connection of the pack isn't as strong as it was in the other fic, so I get to build that up as they are tested.

Writing for Youngjae is fun as per usual. The guy might just be my muse. In this fic, I've wanted a change in his character and circumstances. In the last fic he was the youngest child, with siblings who adored him and parents he loved too. He was also struggling with his uality. But all is resolved as he is supported by his best friend and lover Yien.

So in this fic. We get a whole different Youngjae. He's very popular, although it's not a popularity that he seeked out. He kind of just glides along, comfortable at his own speed. He's strong and able to defend himself, his thoughts , his feelings. He seems like he's open, but he keeps a lot of stuff to himself. He's the man of the minute, as the football captain who leads his team to victory.

He's admired by his team, his teachers and basically his whole school. He's wanted by most of the female population of the school, with a few males included. But cool as cucumber, he doesn't show much interest in that. Although he has the determined Joy after him. He's kind of a commitment phobe and he's straight forward about the lack of committent he can give.

On the other hand he is in a steamy affair with his teacher. Both parties are aware that it's casual , and they try not to get caught. It's a fun kind of lothario side to Youngjae that i'm having fun exploring. He's still a soft little thing for the woman who dedicated her life to him, he's a mama's boy.

So this alternative world is fun.
