Personality --

 

Background Rosalie Jangmi Im was born on March 23rd, 1994 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, to two Korean parents (Insook and Joonho) who had been living in the country for a few years prior to Rosalie's birth. From a young age, Rosalie was considered to be a smart child. She would always be reading (picture books and later on novels) from a young age and was often ahead of her class. But in ever pther sense, Rosalie was an ordinary child. When Rosalie was five, her mother gave birth to twins, Camellia and Daisy. Ever since they could crawl, the two younger girls would cling to Rosalie. Rosalie would often read to her younger sisters and it soon became one of her favourite things to do. Over the next few years, the two younger girls formed a strong bond with their older sister.
 

When it was time for Rosalie to attnded secondary education she attended bilingual VWO. During her time in seconday school, Rosalie really took an interest in English, spending mcuh time studying it and using it to talk to her friends, making her fluent in the language. In this same time, Rosalie discovered the world of Korean-pop. Rosalie and a few of her friends at the time would spend their free time learning to sing the songs and learning the dances (which they would perform together any chanced they got). When she had finished her very sucsessful secondary education, rosalie decided to make the move to Seoul to try her chances at being a trainee. Dispite Rosalie's parents objections, Rosalie made the move to Korea wherew she stayed with her cousin Eom Siyoo. Siyoo was very supportive of Rosalie's dream and he offered to help her however he could.
 

After her move to Korea, Rosalie took a job at a convenience store owened by Siyoo's mother and would spend any free time she had busking on the streets of Hongdae with her cousin Siyoo. Not too long after she first moved to Korea, Rosalie was scouted by an agent from Starship. After completing a short round of Auditions, Rosalie began her life as a trainee at Starship. (WIP)

 

Likes 

— Books, non-fiction & fiction / Some of Rosalies favourite books are non-fiction. She loves reading about history and the past, though she does enjoy a good fiction book too. She is currently reading 1984 by Gorege Orwell.

— Music / Rosalie likes to think her music taste is all over the place. She enjoys music that she can make meaningful dances too such as Elliot Moss. She also enjoys instrumentals such as those made by Helios and Goldmund. Of course, one of Rosalie's favourite types of music is K-pop.

— Dancing / If you can't find Rosalie, she is most likely in the practice room dancing up a storm. She loves to make up dances to whatever she can, even if she doesn't have anyone to show.

— Cleaning / Well Rosalie wouldn't really say she likes cleaning as much as she likes a clean space. She feels like she can fuction better in a room where there is no mess or clutter... which is hard when you have twelve girls living in one dorm. 

— Family / Yes this does include her members. Rosalie was always close with her sisters and parents and would do anythign for them, just like the other members. she thinks of them as her second family because that's what they are to her.

Rosalie is close with other her parents and often thanks her parents for her acedemic skills as they were the ones who pushed her to stive for the best always. Insook and Joonho were always the type of parents to support their Rosalie no matter what. When Rosalie said she wanted to become a trainee, at first they were shocked but grew to support it as it was what their daughter wanted.

Rosalie and her sister have a very tight bond. Growing up the three girls could always been found together at home. Rosalie would read to the girls when they were younger, and help them with their homework. Camellia and Daisy really respect Rosalie as an older sister. Though the two have no intentions of joining the music industry, they look up to their sister because she left to acheive her dreams and now she is finally doing that. Rosalie will usual message her sisters every day and often sends them care packages of Korean products.

Despite their and hardly seeing eachother when they were younger, Rosalie and Siyoo are very close. After not talking for a year or two, Rosalie contacted Siyoo when she wanted to move to Korea and Siyoo, being just as kind as ever, welcomed Rosalie into his home with open arms. After her move to Korea, Siyoo even managed to get Rosalie a job at his mother's store. Siyoo admired the fact that Rosalie had moved to a new country to achive her dreams, so he wanted to help her any way he could. Siyoo would often play guitar for Rosalie when she was busking or even when the two were just bored. Rosalie often says that without the help of Siyoo, she thinking she would have never become a trainee.

Other than Siyoo, Seong is the one Rosalie is closest to in Korea. Rosalie and Seong first met when the two became trainee's at Moon Ent. The two girls were introduced as new trainees on the same day, so naturally they gravitated towards eachother. Their relationship started  with small talk, but quickly changed to long conversations about anything and everything. It didn't take long for Rosalie and Seong to stick to eachother like glue. It also helped that the two were roommates and were both vocalists. The two are often labled the 'Honeymoon couple' by the members and fans because of their close and sweet relationship.

Rosalie and Dayoung became friends when they were trainees at Starship. When they first met, Rosalie couldn't shake the feeling that Dayoung was exactly like her sisters, so, that's how she started to treat her, like a sister. People would often say that the relationship the two had was very much like a sister relationship. Rosalie would always be checking up on Dayoung or clinging to her like an overprotective older sister. The two were set to debut in WJSN but Rosalie left before their debut, but that didn't stop Dayoung and Rosalie from staying close.

Like Dayoung, Rosalie became friends with Sojung when the two were trainees at Starship. The first time Rosalie ever talked to Sojung was after she had heard her rap for the first time. Rosalie was so blown away by the other that she just had to tell her hoe good she thought the other was. Little did they both know that would e the start of a close friendship. You could often find Rosalie and Sojun in one of the small vocal practice rooms with ones laptop, helping each other out.

Rosalie and Minjae met when the two were working at Siyoo's mothers convenience store. The store was mostly run by family so when Rosalie started she was shocked to see an unknown face. Minjae guided Rosalie through the trainee process. The two quickly became to notice how alike they were, even joking that they were the same person. Even though Rosalie stopped her job at the store as soon as she became a trainee and Minjae not too long after, the two managed to keep in contact and stay friends. Due to Minjae's busy scheduale as a student and Rosalie's trainee scheduale, the two would often meet up very late, around 2 am.
