NICKNAMES ☆ 

— Grace ; This was the English name she picked when she went over to the UK as an exchange student. Afterward, this name just stuck with her and she even picked it as her stage name.
— Hwahwa ; It's a nickname her friends would call her because her full name sounds like there is distance between. Therefore, they called her hwahwa because it sounds closer and cuter
— Hwa-unnie ; Because she is  the unnie to some members in the group, her members would call her that because it also sounds closer and it's a lot shorter than calling her Hwayoung unnie.
— Sensei ; A play her friends at school pulls. Due to her calming and lectures about how to be peaceful and see the light in every situation, her friends would call her sensei because she would be acting like a wise old man that's guiding them through life.
— Hwa-nim ; Because she was brought up in a strict family and her mother always made sure she moved as gracefully as possible, she was known at school as Hwa-nim. It was a play-on with her actual name as they see her gracefully moving around like a gentle delicate flower.
— Palpaeng-i (snail) ;  This was a nickname made up by her best friends because they know deep down that Hwayoung wants to rebel her parents and do something risky for once. Yet, she is afraid that's why they picked snail because she would go back to her shell if she's afraid.
— Princess ; That's a nickname from her parents yet it carries two meaning. For her mother, she calls  Hwayoung princess because she expected her to act like one. For her father, he calls her princess because of how important she is to him and that he really cherish her like a princess.

FASHION STYLE ☆  Because her mother is usually the one picking out her clothings, majority of it are floral dresses, blouses, and formal wear. Her hair would also be up in a high ponytail or straight hair at all time and she would always wear a pair of leather shoes. On formal occasion, she would be made to wear heels that would bring out her elegance even more. However, after rebelling her mother and becoming an idol, she received the freedom of picking her own outfit. Yet, because Hwayoung is literally a newbie in the fashion world, she did not know what to wear that would suit her and her body type. Therefore, she would often seek help from Juwon because she knows more about fashion than her. After Juwon's help, Hwayoung would start to buy more jeans, sweaters, and loose jackets that are not as tight as the dresses her mother used to make her wear. She also fell in love with sneakers and how much more comfortable they were compared to leather shoes. She doesn't wear a lot of accessories and mainly just wore a small silver watch n her left wrist 24/7 (except shower and sleeping time). She also likes to experiment with her hair now. You would see her hair curled and for every comeback, her hair would be dyed a different color because she was bored of the black hair life. Although she doesn't mind wearing dresses on formal occations, in daily life she would just put on a sweater or a t-shirt (a jacket if the weather is cold), matched with a pair of jeans and a comfy sneaker. Attention: She's not really comfortable showing skin therefore, she will only wear clothings that show skin for music video or performance.

PERSONALITY ☆ 

Calm ; Since she was little, Hwayoung was not the child who would speak loudly or run around with her classmates. By nature, her energy level was  steady and she would rarely cry or get angry. Her calming nature was honed even more when she grew up and her mother's expectation of her grew even more. She expected Hwayoung to act calm and gracefully in public places as well as at home to show other that her daughter has manner unlike the other kids her age. Even in heated situation between her friends, she would always be the mediator and would try to lead everyone to mutual understanding and solve the problem without anyone being hurt. 
Introverted ; Hwayoung is introverted but she wouldn't mind being with people she is comfortable with like her friends and members and wouldn't need to recharge at all. However, if she went to a formal gathering with her parents or a fan meeting or press conference, she would need to spend the night alone to re-charge her energy for the next day. 
Open-Minded ; Hwayoung understands that everyone has a different ways of think and she respects that and she will allow their ideas to enter her mind as well and is willing to listen to anyone. Hwayoung overall tries to see the beauty in everything and would not question their belief unless it was something really unacceptable like racism and ism. Due to this trait, Hwayoung rarely gets mad at other people because she likes to see the situation in their shoes at all time.
Hard-Working ;  whether it is the expectation from her parents or from her school, Hwayoung always does her best to satisfy them to the fullest. She takes each task personally and would be ashamed at herself if she did not meet their expectation. When given a task she would take it seriously and would never put in only half effort into it. However, she does understand that some people do not treat it as serious as she does yet she still tries to do fulfill the task perfectly without other's influence. 

Scaredy-Cat ; Many people honestly believe that how Hwayoung present herself publicly is how she really is inside. However, the Hwayoung inside likes to do something daring, have more freedom and be able to show more spice and energy to others. However, when she is set to do something, she always goes back to her comfort zone and is afraid to actually make the change. Therefore, her friends and members would always be the ones encouraging her and pushing her to do what she wants. Furthermore, she hides mostly everything she wants to do from her parents so if they ask her about it, she would deny quickly.
Hates Data ; Even though her family runs a business chain, Hwayoung was never gifted in dealing with numbers and data. Math was the only subject she had to study really hard for and the concepts never really click for her and she would always just pray to avoid math and that she passed the class every year. Matter of fact, her parents wished that she would do well in math that's way she tried her best to do well in the class although she never understood it really.
Too Involved ; One problem with Hwayoung is that she always steps in when others are having an argument. Furthermore, she makes the problem her own problem which in turn cause herself to feel ashamed that she could not resolve the problem. She takes the fight too personal even when she's not the person involved and would always think she was the problem if the fight continued.
Not understanding relationships ; Due to her parents strict schedule, Hwayoung really never had the time to hang out with her friends outside of school thus, she never really know how friendship or any other relationship works as well. She really never had any deep talk with her friends therefore she's not too comfortable with it although she's not afraid to do so. Therefore, she's not really reserved, she just doesn't know how to open up with others. However, if she is at a formal business setting, she is perfectly fine talking to people perfessionally because she's been doing so most of her life. 
Clingy ; She's not too clingy to the point of want to punch her in the face but she clingy in the sense that she would stick to people she knows in a group of stranger and would not be the first to initiate convosations. The only way to make her not clingy to someone is by introducing her to someone else through her friends, otherwise everyone would just think that she does not want to associate herself with other, which often send the wrong message about her.

BACKGROUND ☆ 

Hwayoung was born on November 7, 1996 to a family who already have two twin son, who were three years older than her. Hwayoung's father is the owner of the Hong Hotels and although they do have hotels in Korea, they're far more famous internationally. Hwayoung's mother is the chair lady of a local jewelry company. Although the company is not internationally known, it allows her mother to be independent from her husband. Hwayoung grew up quite normally other than the fact that she mostly spends her time in lessons and didn't really go to school until grade one. Everyday, she would be picked up by private drivers and she would go home to start her lessons such as: Piano, violin, calligraphy, English, math, science, history, and dance. Since her schedule was packed, Hwayoung never really spend time with her friends after school or even her own brothers because they all had lessons. However, Hwayoung had it worst because her mother's expectation of a daughter was placed completely on her while her brothers shared the expectations of the son. There is one incident where Hwayoung really wanted to invite her best friends Minji over so she forced herself to stay up late at night just so she could spend time with her. Little did she know that this was the best choice of her life so far.

When Hwayoung's school started to get busier, her mother cuts down her lesson so she could focus on school. By the time she entered high school, she only continue lesson for piano, English and dance. For her sophomore year of high school, Hwayoung had the privilege of studying abroad in the UK for an year. Over there, she adopted the English name Grace and was able to be free from her mother's control and that was when she realized that she doesn't wanna continue life like this. When she returned to Korea, she begin to feel afraid to rebelling against her mother again yet with the help of her friend Minji, she was able to talk to her mom about her dreams and how she wants to be a dance and art major in university instead of going into business like she wanted her to. After many discussion and convincing form her father, Hwayoung was able to apply as an art major for university. Nonetheless, Hwayoung's life took another turn when she was casted by a representative form Big Hit Entertainment during one of her dance performances at school. She really wanted to try out the audition yet she was afraid that her mother wouldn't want her to be in the idol industry. However, after being convinced by Minji, she went to the audition without her parents knowing it and passed. She had to take 3 weeks before telling her parent that she was going to become a trainee which also means stopping school to focus on training. When she finally told them, as usual her father supports her decision yet her mother refused to let her become a trainee. However, after three days of talking and convincing from her husband again, Hwayoung's mother finally allowed her to become a trainee on one condition that she return to school after she is able to have the time.

Due to her mother's strict nature, she would consider her father the fun one in the family and think that his father is a great leader and guides her during troubles.
— Mother, Kang Hyeji ☆ 49 ☆ Ceo of Kang Jewelry company ☆ strict, quiet, caring, realistic ☆ Since Hwayoung begin to understand, her mother always pushed her to do her best and would be disappointed if she failed her. Yet, deep down she still care about her and would be willing to let go of her expectation for the good of her daughter. Hwayoung sees her mother as an example of a strong and independent woman.
— Older Brother, Hong Jaehyun ☆ 23 ☆ Manager of Kang Jewlery Company ☆ Gentle, optimistic, motherly, organized ☆ Hwayoung's older twin brother reminds her a lot of her own father yet he was more motherly and gentle than her father. Hwayoung confines in Jaehyun because he is always willing to listen to her even if he is busy.

Although she is close with him, she always have to cam him down when he is dealing with problems in the company and her family.

— Best friend, Kim Minji ☆ 21 ☆ University student, majoring in photography and filming ☆ bubbly, caring, adventurous, encouraging ☆ Hwayoung and Minji met in the fifth grade and they soon became friends because they were both forced to go to a business party with their parent. They spent the entire night underneath a table and talking until they had to go home☆ Minji would be consider one of her best friend in the entire world. Minji can read Hwayoung like an open book and would always encourage her to do whatever she desires and really just bring her out of her shell. (Fun fact: She is engaged with Hwayoung's brother Jaehyun)
—Foreign Friend, Ryan Walker ☆ 20 ☆ English teacher ☆ curious, carefree, talkative, out-going ☆ They met during her exchange to the UK and the two started talking due to Ryan's love for Asian cultures. ☆ Ryan and Hwayoung really have a relationship as food buddies. Whenever they are both free, they would explore the food of Korea together and would really just bond over anything. Another factor is that Ryan is gay and he would literally be Hwayoung's guide in relationships.
— Label Friend, Park Jimin ☆ 21 ☆ Member of BTS ☆ cheerful, a tease, kind, gets bullied a lot by others ☆ They met during her training days. and he would teacher her the dances and that's how they became close ☆ They're dance buddies and when they don't have any schedules, they would dance together and would watch dance videos together. When Hwayoung became of age, Jimin would be the first to drink with her.

— Teacher, Bang Sihyuk ☆ 44 ☆ Found and CEO of Big Hit ☆ intelligent, artistic, supportive, and humourisic ☆ They meet a few months after Hwayoung entered the company and she was struggling with a task the trainers gave her and the PD came in and guided her and gave her feed backs ☆ While her father is away from her, Bang PD became her second dad and he really looked out and care fore her and she would go to him for support or if she has a question that needs guidance.
— 96' Squad, Jennie (Blackpink), Chanmi (AOA), Joy (Red Velvet), Sana (Twice), Yerin (GFriend) and anyone from Gem that are 96☆ 20 ☆ idols ☆ together as a group: cheerful, out-going, talkative, and adventurous ☆ Hwayoung met the group through Joy and because they really clicked and she was also born in the year 96, they let her join the group. ☆ This group of girls is the second closest group Hwayoung has other than Gem Girls because they were all born in the same year and all felt comfortable telling each other their feelings and struggles. If any one of them are having a hard time, they would gather and cheer that person up by going out to eat, ktv, or shop.
— Acting buddy, Kim Minjae ☆ 20 ☆ actor ☆ Reserved, caring, talkative, cheerful ☆ the two actually met through V when Hwayoung was hanging out with him and Jimin. The two got closer over the years as Hwayoung started to develop interest in acting ☆ Hwayoung and Minjae isn't close to the point of sharing secret but they will talk about dramas together and would usually just hang out if it was necessary.

Prdebut Experiences ☆  Before she started training under Bit Hit, she was always  enrolled in dance lessons which introduced her to different kind of dances such as jazz, ballet, hip hop, ball-room ,and contemperary. After joing Bit hit, they really let her focus on the hip hop dances and knowing how to dance as a team since she had private lessons beofre. At first she struggled to be in sync with the others and also the moving of the formations. However, withthe help of the trainers and Park Jimin, she was able to perfect the dance at a speedy time and did not fall behind others. When it was revealed that she might be able to debut with a group of girls, she saw how amazing each of them were and started practicing harder than ever. Although she did her best, she know the others deserved more important roles than her however, she will continue to strive and advances because she does not want to drag the team down. She had no live performance or mv shooting experiences. Had been training for 2 years and 3 months

PERSONALITY ☆  Unlike the characters he acted in his dramas, Park Hyung Sik is just a spoiled shy baby and is the real "maknae" of his group. He is also the type of boy who can get a long with girls typically but cannot handle y girl and he will go shy immediately. He isn't afraid to show that he is good looking sometimes even coming off a little bit cocky. Yet, he truly cares about people and will make you feel really important once you get to know him. He can be a little bit immature sometimes but he is serious when it comes to his work.

RELATIONSHIP ☆  Because Hwayoung is calm by nature and is really introverted and always need someone else to lead her, Hyungsik would always be the lead. Even when they go out, Hyungsik would ask for her opinion and then he would make the final decision of where to go. They mutually respect each other's opinion and decisions. Even when they are busy, they still text to check up on each other and tell each other about what happened during the day. Hyungsik would be the one to make Hwayoung laugh from deep in her hearts like no one else would. In return, Hwayoung would give Hyungsik the quietness and calmness he needs when he just wants to run away from the world. During his or her shoot, Hwayoung would be fine with him kissing and touching other girls because she knows its his job but for Hyungsik, he would become jealous and would be mad at first but Hwayoung would assure him that she loves only him. 

HISTORY ☆  When Hwayoung and Hyungsik first met on the drama reading, she was really shy around him because his smile really make her fluster and turn red easily. She had to do her best from getting distracted form her work. Yet during their free time, Hyungsik was always caring for her and fooling around with her. She was not used to this treatment because although people around her fols around with her, they were never as gentle as Hyungsik was to her. As the drama continued, the two eventually got closer and they started to develop feelings for each other and still stayed in touch after the drama ended. It was after the drama ended that the two finally decided to date.
