lily has never been the girl to get the award for best personality but that doesn't mean she's not nice. rather than being a good person, she's someone who knows how to get along with other people. she has a good sense for how to act around people and call read people well. with this, lily gets along with everyone. even when she's not entirely fond of someone, she'll be good to them. rather than making things easier for herself and just staying away from them, lily makes sure to continue her reputation as the girl everyone is friends with. she's that friend one might consider their closest friend, but they're not necessarily hers. when she personally feels close to someone, her playful side comes out. among her friends, lily is known for her sharp tongue. she can spit out insults (all in good fun, of course) without having to think about them. her outgoing personality makes sure there's never a dull moment around her.

determination is definitely lily strongest point. a lily who stops half way is no lily at all. however, she doesn't take other's opinions well. lily likes to do things her way and struggles to open up to other people's suggestions. her way of thinking is that if she doesn't do it her way, it's not her that succeeded but the one who helped her. it makes her hypocritical since she's all about helping others (her main advice is also to be more open minded about things but she can't even do that smh). constructive criticism isn't a thing to her. if one tells her she should change something, she takes it personally. her feelings get hurt easily. this all leads to lily not being able to change her flaws. although she can see what's wrong with her personality, she's inable to correct it. (she's just a sensitive little nugget please love her).

when it comes to times she's emotionally bruised, she finds it hard to open up to others. not because of trust issues, but she doesn't want to be seen as weak. on stage lily is fierce and shines brightly. she likes to be seen as the best version of herself. only the members and people close to her known the soft, emotional side to lily. she even has the members promise to never reveal that on tv. but being emotional also gives lily deep understanding to things. she's able to have deep, meaningful conversations whether it be two a.m on the rooftop or three p.m in the car. many people come to lily for advice or just to rant. lily's physically twenty two but mentally sixty one.

kwon lily was born on a fresh spring day in 1995 to your average upper middle class family. they weren't rich, but they weren't poor. lily's family had enough to send her to korea and bring her back twice a year (once in summer and once in winter). both her parents were both busy working until seven so most of her time was spent with her older brother, brandon. brandon, being three years older than her, practically raised her. in school, lily was always popular. not popular in the sense that all the boys liked her, but in the sense that everyone knew who she was and had good thoughts about her. lily discovered her ability to sing in the fifth grade during the mandatory chorus class. from then on, lily stared in all the school musicals and was the lead singer in her church praise team.

even though lily has a korean background, she was never into kpop. but as an asian trying to become a singer in the states, it was difficult for her. when kpop star season one was announced and she was fifteen years old, brandon pushed her to audition. with her experience of performing, lily breezed through the audition. after passing, lily and brandon went to korea for her to join the show. lily ended up taking tenth place on kpop star before a pledis representative recruited her to join the company.

trainee years five years
trainee life  after joining pledis in 2012, lily felt like she had it all. she didn't really understand what a trainee's life would be like. in her mind she had finally got a chance to show her music to the world. she excelled in singing, acting, and language. she always said that she had talent for singing and dancing would come with practice. she totally put aside the fact that she practically had to left feet when it came to dancing. learning how to dance was the hardest part of her trainee life. she couldn't seem to get her moves at the right pace and on the right beat. most of her nights were going over the same moves over and over again. her personality also made it difficult for her to improve. when she was criticized by the teachers and trainers, she took it in their words but struggled to fix what they told her to change. her trainee life consisted of her own interal struggle.
