35 Questions for Writers

Saw this going around, and stole(?) it~

Tagging: Anyone

1. How did you come up with your user name and what does it mean?

"Clover" has been my online persona for awhile, so I combined that with N, the name of [one of my] UB's~ (go vixx)

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?

The Art of Truth and Lies, which is still a WIP ^^

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

Tae looked really nice in this picture. (Like he does in every picture..)

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

@praepanda

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

There are actually a few fanfics that I continue to read even after they're completed~ (People on here are such talented authors)

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

370, although there are a couple I haven't actually committed to finishing yet

7. What AU do you find yourself writing about most?

School AU's.. which is strange, considering I actually dislike school AU's

8. How many friends do you have?

11 (I should be more social)

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

Not really, since I kind of just put all my ideas out there once they're ready (hence why I have so many WIP's)

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on aff? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?

Regular updates are something I really struggle with. I'd like to get better with those, as well as graphic design ^^

11. How many subscribers do you have?

Unique: 361 (<3)

Total: 429

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

9 stories (3 unfinished, 1 drabble collection, 2 on hiatus, and 3 finished) (I should finish stuff--)

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

11 :)

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

I keep them in my head until I grow to like the idea enough, and write them down when I have time~

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?

Blood-Stained Petals and a drabble collection are both things I've co-authored with @praepanda ^^ (although BSP is on hiatus)

16. How did you discover AFF?

I was just browsing random fanfic sites, and stumbled across this (woah!! fanfic specifically made for kpop :D)

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

Nope~

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

Not really, I'd probably want to call them... marshmallows. (because they're all fluffy and sweet and nice like marshmallows <33 [this choice may be biased because I'm thinking about food rn])

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

I've been writing since I was /smol/, so there hasn't been anyone in particular, but there have been a few authors that make me want to write after I read their stories. #goalsandaspirations

20. How many karma points do you have?

um 737

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

Just keep writing, just keep writing~

even if that sounds cheesy, it's true. The only way to improve is by practicing, so don't ever get discouraged! If you love writing, then just keep doing it. (But when writer's block hits, try not to force yourself to write. It messes up the flow of everything you've been practicing and lets you pick up bad habits.)

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

I get a general idea of what I want to happen, usually. But I never fully plot them out, everything is very... spontaneous. (Which is why I have pacing issues xD)

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

I actually haven't, but that's probably because I don't get too many comments ^^;

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)

is something I've never tried to write, so I guess that's one thing. KISS SCENES are one of the hardest things for me to do. They're extremely... awkward.

"xyz pressed his lips against zyx's! xyz pulled away."

25. What story(s) are you working on now?

The Art of Truth and LiesForgive Me, My Sunshine, and Smile=Happy?

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

Sometimes, but other times I just start them, so I constantly have overlapping stories.

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

Not really, although over breaks and such I try to write at least once a day

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

Yes! I first started when I was 8, so there's definitely a difference from then to now.

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

I really liked writing Just a Smile, Just a Game and As These Balloons Leave My Hand ;;

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

Melodious Harmony, as it was my /first/ attempt at writing fluff, but I ended up throwing in awkward backstories in the center, and ldaknfklsd. I'd like to re-write it if I ever got the motivation to.

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

In 5 years, I hope I'll have been able to finish a novel? (Whether or not it's published)

32. How many upvotes do you have?

20

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

Being able to absorb myself into my character's lives. I think it's fun to be able to be "someone else" for awhile, and see how they feel about things. It's like.. an empathy thing.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

Finding motivation to continue a story which I began to dislike

35. Why do you write?

I write because writing is what makes me happy. It's something that takes away my stress, and allows me to live in a world that isn't mine. I just... really, really love writing. (It's also something I can use in order to vent, if necessary)
