playful and sweet, childish and impulsive; while he's not usually the one instigating the squad's adventures, he's never one of those stepping back and wondering if they're good ideas. he sneaks frozen yogurt during his shift, like, all the time. he's got a reckless outside hiding a nougat, i care about you and won't let anything happen to you center; he says mean , he does stupid things, and he'd take a bullet for any of his friends. he protects that nougat center with his body language - arms wrapped around his ribcage, hands curled into fists, eyes flicking to the side; there's a contrast between his words and the way he sits, trying to draw his knees into his chest. he's a little too aware of how this'll be the last summer of life as he knows it, before seoul, before university and a degree in korean literature and his first novel. he doesn't want to live in yongdam, but he's afraid of letting this end. so this summer, this time around, he's going to go all out and have fun, even if he's stuck in his , town.

he was born and raised in yongdam, with a mom and a dad and an older sister, woo taehyun. taesung is 14, and taehyun is 19 when she dies - a car crash on the way home from a concert, a coma that everyone in town prayed she'd wake up from. (has he dealt with his grief in any way? no, of course not.) he has a best friend in busan, kwon jaeho, a nice kid on the baseball team, and an ex-girlfriend, eun dahee, who he got over far too fast to have actually liked her.
