yoon jaemi was born on october 31, 1997 in suwon, gyeonggi-do, south korea. her family is consists of her father, mother, older brother and older sister. her father is a doctor while her mother is an author also a housewife. her older brother, jongjin, worked as a veterinarian whiler her older sister, bomi, is an idol from a popular kpop girl group, apink. jaemi is the youngest in the siblings. talk about siblings, of course they're really close. but there's still a small fight and argue between them. jaemi and jongjin were just like other brother and sister relay. jongjin loves to since she is the youngest. he would annoyed jaemi and disturbed her. but honestly, jongjin really care about jaemi and loves her secretly. that's what every brothers did to their sisters. jaemi hate but love him at the same time. as for bomi, she and jaemi were both troublemakers. they're the noisiest in the house. the house would be quiet without them, clown. bomi loves to play around with jaemi although she is the older sister. jaemi really loves her parents because they're understanding, open-minded and supports whatever their daughters did.

at school, she make many friends. since she is very friendly and easygoing, people can get along with her. she might not be an excellent student in her school, but the teachers know her very well because she was active on every activities except academy. there's once she got a detention because she didn't do her homeworks. yes, she is the naughty girl in school. she loves to do what she wants and kind of a rebel girl.

honestly, she had never dreamed to be an idol. she wanted to be an author or doctor before. but after her sister debut in apink, she has interested in music and started to sing, dance and even rap. she really loves kpop and wanted to be an idol like her sister, bomi. she would listen to apink's songs everytime anywhere and introduced them to her friends. after day goes by, she kept up-to-date about apink. she had been apink's number fan since then and now.

back in the year of 2015, she decided to join an audition for bighit entertainment through an online audition. she luckily passed and became one the trainees. she didn't often get rest but she had fun. she was trained about 2 years 2 months in the company. she might have to practice almost 12 hours non-stop but she didn't care. she never thought she would came this far. at last, she's finally to be part in bighit's girl group 'cupid'.
