10-page paper for English...Ugh!

I know it's not ready yet, but soon I'll have to write a 10-page paper for my English class. Not looking forward to it. So, I have to eventually look at what I want to write about for my thesis. I could use the topics that we dealt with in class, or come up with a different idea. I know I won't write about Millennials because frankly, I don't know anything about them. I'm not a Millennial myself. I was born in the late 1970's so I'm actually a Generation X. Many people think I'm a Millennial and I tell them that I never grew up with computers. My generation never dealt with technology when I was a kid. I didn't know anything about computers until I was a Freshman in high school (1993). And to this day, I'm not savvy on the computer or the cell phone. I also don't spend my life playing on technological devices. I prefer doing the fun things I did when I was a kid, called reading books (instead of e-books), watch TV (instead of watching them on the computer or cell phone), and go shopping...especially with my mom (my attention is on my mom). I've seen so many kids who are under 16 who have cell phones. Oh man, I'm soo glad that I never had a cell phone when I was a kid. Too many kids play on the computer and cell phones instead of giving their attention to their surroundings or even to family and/or friends. I'd be embarrassed to be out with my kid while they're playing on the cell phone. Not to mention, I wouldn't give my kids a cell phone until they start working. It's my opinion.

Anyway, I have to look at ALL the topics that I've done or topics that I'm interested in. Of course, I have to wait and find out what my teacher wants before I can start to deal with the 10-page paper. I don't mind doing research, but having to find the sources and put them in correctly is a pain in the . But, I know some of my topics don't have enough information to make into a 10-page paper.

I can't wait til I'm done with school. It's such a brain drainer and a waste of my time and money. My dad is going to try and push me into a university, but I'm going to push back because I don't want to go to one. It's not my idea, and I don't feel going to a university is going to help me anyway. I was calculating if I decided to go to a university, I'd be graduating when I'm in my middle 40's or late 40's. By, that time, it wouldn't even be worth looking for a job in my major. So, I would've spent the rest of my life going to school and wasting my money for a piece of paper that I wouldn't even be using...all because my dad thinks that it would benefit me.

Besides, my dad doesn't really care much about how I do in school anyway. He only looks at the negative part, not the positive that I'm doing pretty good in school. I'm hoping to graduate next year in the spring. Anyway...sorry for getting off topic. I've done some theses for Speech class, but I'm not sure if they would have enough information for a 10-page paper.

1993? The year I was born ^^
Well, though I got to play with computer when I was around 9yo, but back then, having a handphone (for my family) is a kind of luxury. Honestly I got my first phone when I was 21yo, a hand-me-down from my mom (which I still use daily though I have a smartphone). I bought my own phone using my money when I was 22 (I'm 24 btw). So, for me, phone is just an accessory because most of my time, I spend on reading and writing, and I do watch TV (though it's rare) and of course playing 2048 through the phone.

Honestly, seeing how early a child got exposed to smartphone nowadays hurt. Parents are dependent on them to keep their child quiet even thought hey may be just baby, few months old baby!!! I mean when I was young, you could see me running around the village or playing in the river or so, but now the children is all sticking their nose on the phone, it's so heartbreaking to see that!! *looks like I've a long story to say, but I would rather stop here or I won't know when to stop*

Anyway, good luck with your 10-page paper ^^
