This weekend, I wanted to invite my best friend over for a sleepover. She was busy with work, though, and said that she couldn't make it.

Well, guess what. She was lying! She had secretly planned with my parents to surprise me by showing up at our house yesterday, for my birthday (which is today, on the 14th).

I was completely clueless, just casually writing my stories yesterday evening, when the doorbell rang. I thought it was my mother, but then this girl suddenly walked inside, and yelled, "SURPRIIIIISE!" with a cake box in her hand. That sneaky little-

Needless to say, these two days were spent in the best way possible, and it was the best birthday so far, with the people I care about the most: my lovely parents and my darling best friend.

I'm very bad at expressing my feelings in person towards the people I love, which is why I decided to write this. While my parents did say that it was my best friend who planned it all, I'm extremely thankful to them for helping her with the whole thing (mainly for being such an amazing mother and father, but that's how they always are).

Also, a HUGE thank you to Sarah for cooking up this entire scheme, I don't know what I would do without you. When I met you back in 2011, I had no idea how close the two of us would become. But look at us now, we're practically inseparable!

I love you so much, the three of you! Once again, a big, big, BIG thank you to you guys!!
