NICKNAMES. Bekah || Nearly everyone calls her this because it's simply a shortened version of her name.
JiYeon || When Bekah first arrived in South Korea, she adopted the name to try and fit in. It's not that common anymore.
Cher || Cher is an endearing term in Creole and a lot of people addressed her as such. But mainly, it was her grandmama who used the term with her.
Cara mia || A nickname given to her by Kwon JiYong. She received the name after the duo watched The Addams Family and tried imitating Gomez and Morticia Addams. JiYong has a matching nickname.

Korean | Advanced | Bekah's mom would speak it ocassionaly around the house, but also, Bekah has been living in South Korea for a number of years now and had to learn the language quickly if she wanted to survive.
Creole | Conversational | Creole was just as common as English when she was growing up. She used to be considered "Advanced" in regards to her knowledge of the language, but since she's had no one to use it with since she's been in Korea, her knowledge has diminished.

APPEARANCE. Bekah has a fuller frame than a typical Korean - obviously due to her mixed heritage. She has never been described as petite - even in America. Her chest size is larger than the South Korean average and is almost the average in America, falling in at 32D. She has blue eyes that are very prominent against her olive complextion. She has her ears double-pierced, and also sports a belly button piercing. The belly button piercing was a reward she gave herself when she finally lost some unfavorable weight around her midsection in highschool. Now that she has a fit stomach - with the faintest of abs - she wanted to show it off. Bekah has had her hair short, long, curly, pin-straight, brown, blonde, auburn, and just about everything under the sun. Currently, her hair is a nice chestnut brown with gold undertones, and reaches just below her chest. She also sports a delicate tattoo on the back and base of her neck. In a fine, black, cursive font that was almost whimsical, in two lines is the quote, "I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night."
STYLE. Bekah sports a very casual style, opting for comfort over being chic. She's typically seen in a pair of jeans - either dark blue, acid wash, or black - and a slim-fitting graphic tee. Ocassionally, she'll wear tank tops and camis and throw a button down over it. She really tries to keep it simple. However, if she has to dress up, she'll 'dress to the nines'. She'll go all out. Bekah prefers ballroom type gowns to the short "homecoming dresses" that have become popular. She loves the elegant look of old Hollywood.

ELABORATION. 
"Never puch a loyal person to the point of not caring [Protective/Loyal]" || Bekah is very loyal to those who have earned her trust. Almost loyal to a fault. To her friends and people she deems as "family" she will stand by their side through hell or high water. When everyone else is against them, even if she knows her friends or family are wrong, she'll have their back and protect them if need be. Bekah would risk her life for those she is loyal to. She doesn't trust people easily, mind you. But, when she trusts someone, she trusts them completely. But, her loyality isn't blind. If someone does something to lose her trust, it's probably the worse thing for that person. She'd no longer trust them in pretty much anything. And it's nearly impossible to regain her trust. Maybe not impossible, but very difficult. She doesn't instantly distrust or trust someone when she first meets them. She gives the person time in hopes so she could see their true character.

"I'm not a difficult person. I'm a constant ing delight [Funny/Sarcastic]" || Sarcasam is practically a second language to Bekah. She's as fluent with it as she is with English. She has a crude sense of humor. Bekah can have a erted mind and she doesn't try to hide it. She doesn't care who's around or who hears her, she'll say whatever crude or erted joke that pops into her head. Oh, you're offended by her off-handed comments? Well, too damn bad. She's not going to alter or cherry-pick her words just because someone is butthurt about them. Her humor might be a bit dry, but it does brighten her day as well as others'. Her sense of humor has gotten her in trouble, but she continues on. People find her funny and knowing she can put a smile on someone's face or make someone's day better is what keeps Bekah from changing her jokes.

"Anything that gets your blood racing is probably worth doing [Passionate]" || Anything that Bekah does, she puts her entire soul into. Sometimes, she cares too much. Sometimes, she's too emotional. For some, Bekah can be a bit intense. People don't understand how she can always put her heart and soul into everything and anything. Whether it be history, cooking, the past, or her friends, she never goes in half-cocked or treats them half-heartedly. She lives by her passions. She lets them consume her and she follows their callings. People worry that she burns too hot and they worry that some day she won't have thing she's passionate for. But, Bekah doesn't believe that. She doesn't believe being passionate is a bad thing. Working towards the things you love is worth it.

"Every day is a chance to change your life [Opportunistic]" || When life gives you lemons, you can bet your Bekah will make lemonade. When an opportunity presents itself and the opportunity will better Bekah's situation or those she is close to, she'll take it. She's not necessarily looking for these opportunities, but she is aware of them. Now, don't mistake her being opportunistic for being optimistic. She doesn't always see the best of everything, but she can make the best out of a bad situation. She might make some rash choices, but she always does it to better her life as well as those she is close to. Her loyalty outweighs her opportunistic behavior. She would NEVER throw someone under the bus for a good opportunity. 

"There is a fine line between fearless and being a fool [Careless]" || Bekah always considered herself fearless. She didn't care about consequences and simply went for it. With things that people deem dangerous, Bekah might charge head in. She confuses being fearless and being careless. JiYong worries that Bekah is actually trying to cut her life in half. As smart as Bekah is, sometimes she simply doesn't think before she does or says something. Most times she's lucky and it all works out for her, but not always.

"The important thing is to never stop questioning [Curious]" || Bekah has always questioned the world she lives in. This is thanks to her grandmama. She finds things intriguing and interesting and she must know more. Mainly, it includes history and science, but as well as the natural and supernatural world around her. In her free time, Bekah is always trying to learn more, to understand all there is. Sometimes, her curiosity gets the best of her and she can't stop until she's figured something out. Her curious nature sometimes put her in seemingly dangerous situations and it appears as if Bekah doesn't care. She will have her answers no matter what. Curiosity killed the cat... But satisfaction brought it back.

"We'll either find a way, or make one [Stubborn]" || Bekah is the embodiment of the phrase, "Stubborn as an ox". She stands by her beliefs, but she isn't blindly stubborn. She supports her stances on issues with facts and reason. If someone presents contradicting information - credible information - she'll review and revise her stance. She has strong opinions and isn't afraid to voice them. Sometimes, Bekah doesn't knwo when to back down or quit and this gets Bekah in a bit of trouble. Her stubborness can come off as harsh or insentive and she doesn't mean that. However, though she typically relies on fact and reason, sometimes her emotions drive her beliefs which can be risky.

"What doesn't kill me, better run like hell [Fiery/Temper]" || There's noy only a fire in her soul, but a fire in her eyes. This fire can burn Bekah, she can run hot. She has a bit of a temper that she typically tries to keep under wraps. When her temper is released, though, Bekah has quite the nasty bite. Of course, Bekah can become irritated about little things, but that's nothing to be concerned about. It's when you have truly pissed Bekah off that you should be concerned. She doesn't hold back and can either release a fury of angry words or punches, depending on the severity of the issue. About an hour after her exploding, she typically regrets her words and actions, but it takes a lot to get her to apologize.

"Live for the moments you can't put into words [Adventurous]" || Bekah felt there was always something drawing her to do the things she did. Sometimes it was a sense of wonder, or pride - when she felt she needed to prove herself. Bekah has been able to find adventure in the simplest things; she could make a grocery run with JiYong an adventure. But there's always been more. Her curiosity leads her to new things. Maybe it's due to her upbringing in New Orleans and her grandmama's influence, but Bekah was never satisfied with the mundane. She believe there was always more and she was determined to find it.

"If it doesn't feel right, don't do it [Instinctive]" || Bekah has learned over the years to trust her gut. Her instincts have never lead her astray. It was never hard for Bekah to trust something that wasn't tangible; given her gift, she was used to believing things that weren't there. More often than not, if her logical mind was at odds with her gut, Bekah would always go with her gut. She believes that there's a reaon people have a "gut instinct". This feeling was suppose to keep people alive and Bekah will always listen to it.

BACKGROUND. 
Bekah can't remember a time when she didn't see the past. Of course, as a young child, she didn't know what she was seeing was anything else than what was actually happening. She noticed a glow, or a 'shimmer' as her younger self would called it, around certain people and objects, but she could never descern any difference between them and the 'non-shimmers' so she it quickly became blind to it. Bekah could still see the 'shimmer' but simply paid it no mind. If only Bekah noticed how some 'shimmers' would pass through 'non-shimmers' she would have known something was different.

It wasn't until she was seven that she finally realized something was off. During the summer, Bekah spent most of the time with her paternal grandmother, Adelaide. Her grandmama lived just a block away from her parent's home, so she would always visit her. Her visits increased after her grandfather passed away. Bekah thought her grandmama was lonely and saw it as her job to keep the older woman company. One day, Bekah was in her grandmama's living room while Adelaide was making something for her to eat. Bekah heard a noise behind her and turned to see her grandfather, Marcel, sitting in his old recliner. She called out to him, but he didn't acknowledge her presence in the slightest. Bekah got up to shake his arm, but her hand went straight through the man and touched the fabric of the recliner. She simply stared at her grandfather with wide eyes, trying to wrap her head around what was happening. Adelaide had walked back in and found Bekah in that position and asked her what she was doing. "Grandpa's here... But he won't listen to me," she explained, still trying to grasp his arm. Adelaide was shocked at her granddaughter's words. Not because she thought she was making it up, but because she knew her granddaughter saw something.

Adelaide was not unfamiliar with psychics and abilities. She herself had been gifted with divinitation (or fortune telling). Her's was a gift she called on, whereas Bekah's gift was present whenever it chose to be. It was Adelaide who helped Bekah understand her gift - once her granddaughter explained what she was seeing and hearing. The old woman possessed a plethora of tomes and books on psychic abilities and began educating Bekah. Bekah spent much of her time with her grandmama and spent years learning how to hone her ability. Bekah learned that she could call upon the past. In order to force herself to see the past, Bekah must concentrate on a certain time and she must be specific. She'll clear her mind of everything except the date and time she wants to see. If she's watching someone, she can even follow someone either forward or backwards in time. It's very difficult and something Bekah didn't master until she was in highschool. The reason it's so difficult is she has to constantly refresh the time she's concentrating on. Bekah's parents were eventually made aware of her gift when she was ten or so when she was able to accurately tell them past events.

Bekah learned when she was thirteen that even though she can turn the past on, she can't turn it off. It was the summer of 2004 and Bekah's family took a trip to New York City for vacation. While they were there, they stopped to pay their respects to the victims of 9/11. As Bekah had her head down, imitating her parents, she heard an abundant amount of chatter. Looking around, she noticed a lot of 'shimmer' people. Not thinking much of it, Bekah looked forward and suddenly she saw the twin towers with a 'shimmer' around them. Her eyes widened as she looked off into the sky where an airplane was. Horrified, she could do nothing but watch - for a second time - as a plane crashed into the first tower. Bekah had tears streaming down her cheeks as she heard the screams and watched as people jumped to their death. Her hands covered as her eyes stayed glued on the scene before her. Eventually, her behavior grabbed the attention of her parents and realized she was seeing something they couldn't. They quickly escorted her from the memorial.

Most of Bekah's high school career was uneventful. She would find things her friends had lost for them by using her gift which earned her the nickname "The Finder of the Things" - the name died after high school. She had a penchant for finding things due to her ability; however, she never told anyone about it. During the summer after her sophomore year, her family travelled to South Korea to visit her mom's parents who lived there. When Bekah arrived, she instantly fell in love with the country and vowed to come back. And that's exactly what she did. After she finished high school, she made the decision to move to South Korea to attend university there. While she lived there, she stayed with her maternal grandparents until after she graduated. Bekah ended up obtaining a Bachelor's in History. For a long while, Bekah hadn't the foggiest idea what to major in and decided history was probably the best course due to her unfair advantage. While at university, Bekah became close friends with a number of people, but only one had the honor of being her best friend. A man named Kwon JiYong. The two had some classes together during their first two years and became practically joined at the hip. After their first two years, they didn't share that many classes together, due to the fact they were pursuing different majors - JiYong was majoring in criminology.

For the longest time, people at their campus believed the two were together, even when they were dating other people. The two had always been affectionate towards one another. Neither seemed to understand boundries and neither Bekah nor JiYong had any qualms with hanging off the other's neck. They spent much of their free time together. Bekah had friends, even best friends, before, but no one was quite like JiYong. She felt so safe and at peace with him. She eventually confided in him about her gift. It wasn't until the beginning of their senior year, but she did tell him. At first, naturally, JiYong didn't quite believe her. But, just like she had done with her parents, she was able to dictate accurate past events. Once JiYong believed her, he didn't shun her or make her feel strange, just adding to the warmth she felt around him.  

After university, Bekah moved out of her grandparents home and into an apartment with JiYong. The two were trying to figure out what they were going to do with their lives now that they had degrees. JiYong came up with an idea. "We should become private investigators!" Initially, Bekah thought her friend lost his mind. "No, no, no. Think about it. With my criminology degree and your gift to see the past, we could solve any cold case, or any case for that matter!" He had a point. It took a few months to get it off the ground, but they rented out a studio which would be their office and began advertising for their private investigating firm. They had named their business, Mind's Eye Investigations. JiYong came up with the name. And, in a matter of a few weeks, the two slowly began to work up their reputation as reliable and dedicated investigators. Bekah would use her gift to locate either people or items by going to the last place they had been. As long as she knew the time, she could eventually trace the person forward or backward in time. Even if she didn't know the time, she could still just slowly turn back the clock until she found what she needed. JiYong would make sure everything was legal. They've been doing this for the past four years now. The two do fairly well in regards to their business and are living quite the comfortable lifestyle because of it. 

RELATIONSHIPS. 

Best Friend/Roommate/Lover || Kwon JiYong || 25 || Partner in Mind's Eye Investigations || Outgoing, dependable, playful, eccentric || These two are as thick as thieves, even before they started dating. They're business partness, friends, and lovers. They're obviously close and have no problem showing affection. Skinship is definitely a common site, and the two kissing in public isn't surprising. They tone it down, sometimes, but normally, if they want to kiss, they're going to kiss. Even though they show such compassion for one another, it's easy to see that their relationship was built on such a solid friendship. They understand one another, and sometimes they never need say a word.

Grandmama || Adelaide Cottilard || 87 || Retired, fortune teller || Empathetic, caring, sassy, wise || Even though Bekah now lives in another country, she tries to stay in contact with her paternal grandma. Adelaide had taught Bekah everything she knew about her gift and helped her learn how to use it. It's a debt she can never pay back. Bekah calls her grandmama about once a week, but there are times when she misses a week because she becomes too busy. 

LIFESTYLE. 

During the week, Bekah is typically awoken by JiYong. She is not a morning person - he isn't either, but he at least gets up to his alarm clock. Bekah doesn't have breakfast - which she always regrets later on - and the two take out their dogs, Gaho and Mysha. They get back home around 7:45 which gives the two enough time to get dressed and head out to work. They get to their office around 8:30 or so and they set everything up and go through and old files before they open their doors at 9:00. How busy their day is depends on how many cases they have going on. Around 11:00, Bekah's stomach hates her for not eating, and the two will usually take lunch around noon. They typically grab something from a local shop, and ocassionally, they eat at Sweet Symphony. From there, they go back to work until about five or so. Unlike other private investigators, Bekah usually has her nights free due to the fact that she isn't a typical investigator and has an unfair advantage. Bekah can typically wrap up cases during the day. When they get home from work, JiYong and Bekah will take their dogs out again before Bekah makes dinner for the two. Until 9:30-10:00, Bekah and JiYong will simply relax and watch some T.V. Four nights a week, Bekah will work out in their apartment's gym - she ocassionally drags JiYong along. For the last time of the day, the duo would take the dogs out and Bekah typically finishes her day with a shower.

During the weekend, the couple typically sleep in until their dogs wake them up around 10:00 or so. They take the dogs out and return to have breakfast - which typically consists of cereal. What they do during the day is anyone's guess. Sometimes they go out shopping, or visit parks or various locations. Weekends are theirs. However, sometimes they just stay home and cuddle the day away. On weekends, they will take the dogs out around 5:00 and 10:00 just like during the week.

Power. 

Whenever Bekah observes the past, anything and anyone from that previous time will have a halo effect around it/them. Bekah typically calls this a 'shimmer' since it was the first name she gave it when she was a child. Other than the 'shimmer' the objects or people don't look any different than the present. The past plays out like a movie before Bekah and she can not interact with it. Bekah can activate her ability if she chooses. She must concentrate on a time and she can observe the events in the area. She can also follow the past. Bekah can conentrate on turning back the clock manually, by seconds, minutes, or hours, and follow people through the past.

Bekah doesn't necessarily prefer the past to the present. She's seen murders happen before her eyes where she couldn't warn the person. But, using her gift and her position as a private investigator allows her to bring justic to those who committed such acts. It has hard to balance the past with the present. Tenses are very hard for her - is it happening? Did it happen? It does get confusing. She can't separate the past from the present so when people say she lives in the past, she can't argue with them. It's a part of her and she can't ignore it.

- Dislikes: early mornings, humid weather, bright lights, stupid comedies, hot drinks (including coffee and tea), aeygo (she doesn't like it on girls, but she doesn't mind it on guys)

- Habits: Bekah doens't blush when she's embarrassed but her smile will widen; when she's concentrating on something, she'll gently bite the corner of her bottom lip; she runs her hand through her hair often; she often curses in English and ocassionally in Creole when she's upset.

- Hobbies: Travelling, learning something new, reading, watching movies, playing with her dogs, cooking/baking

- Other:

- Bekah owns a female, Siberian Husky named Mysha while JiYong owns a Shar-Pei named Gaho. It's believed that Mysha is a pure-breed, but they don't know since they rescued her from a shelter.

- Mysha is more of a companion than a pet to Bekah.

- Bekah is a huge Marvel Cinematic Universe buff. She owns all the movies.

- On that note, Bekah has an extensive movie collection including: all Marvel movies, the Lord of the Rings triology, the Hobbit triology, all of the Harry Potter movies, How to Train Your Dragon, Avatar the Last Airbender SERIES, Legend of Korra series, Breakfast Club, Princess Bride, all the X-Men movies, all the Studio Ghibli movies, all the Fast and the Furious movies, The Labyrinth, Anastasia, Tangled, Frozen, Treasure Planet, Hercules, Atlantis, Mulan, Aladdin, Brave, Lilo and Stitch, both Addams Family movies, and a plethora of others.

- Due to Bekah's distaste of coffee or hot tea, when she goes to Sweet Symphony she'll typically order a milkshake or an iced tea.

- When Bekah was younger - during middle school and high school - Bekah was a little pudgy. She had thick thighs and some pudge around her middle. It made her very self-concious about her body and she began to diet and work out.

- Bekah isn't allergic to anything.

- Bekah doesn't like to toot her own horn, but she's a damn good cook and baker.

- She gets verb tenses confused due to constantly watching the past.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU USE YOUR POWER? 

"I think the better question is, how often do I choose to use my power," Bekah quickly replied, as though the answer seemed practiced. "More often than not, the past finds me, I don't regularly seek it out; though, I am capable of calling upon the past. I probably see something at least once a day, depending on where I am."

HOW DOES YOUR POWER AFFECT HOW YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE? 

Bekah sat and thought for a minute. "I feel like my life is a constant flashback. And not even of my own life," she let out a bark of a laugh before continuing. "It's hard sometimes because I don't really feel it creeping in on me. I don't really have any side effects - which I'm not complaining about - but because of it, sometimes I just don't notice if I'm not paying attention. The shimmer is always there, but I'm so used to it, I barely notice it unless I'm looking for it."

DO YOU HATE IT? BEING ABNORMAL? 

She sat there for a moment with her head cocked to the side, a questioning look upon her face. "Why would I hate it? Sure, it can be a bit inconvient, but I don't hate it. Sometimes, I feel like I'm prying into someone's life, but I enjoy watching." Thinking about what she just said, Bekah winced, "That sounds creepy, doesn't it?"

WITHIN WE PSYCHIC FEW, WHO ARE YOU CLOSEST WITH? 

"I'm not sure if I'm horribly close with any of them," Bekah shrugged her shoulders. "I like Yerin, because she kind of reminds me of my grandmama," she laughed at the answer, "Don't be offended Yerin! It's a good thing. She's motherly and looks out for us misfits." As she began to think more and more about the group, Bekah continued, "I feel like I'm kind of close - at least, I think I am, I might be wrong - with [Clairvoyance] and [Evocation]. I mean, I was really familiar with their abilities. They would have done well in New Orleans," Bekah finished with a laugh. "But seriously. I feel like I was lucky to have grown up where I did and with who I did. People with abilities never frightened me and I always took it in stride."

WITHIN WE PSYCHIC FEW, WHO DO YOU TRY TO AVOID? 

"I don't actively try to avoid anyone, no," Bekah answered simply. "If you're really asking if I'm afraid of anyone, or I don't trust anyone, the answer is still no. I already told you, abilities don't frighten me. True, in the wrong hands, it can be very bad. But I'm not inherintly afraid of any of them."

HOW DID YOU STUMBLE UPON THE SITE? 

Bekah had to think back for a moment. "I was honestly looking for other people like me. In New Orleans, it wasn't hard. True, there are some fakes out there and I had to weed through them to get to the real ones, but people were more open about their gifts. Here, it was a little harder. One link lead to another, and before I knew it, I ended up here."

 
HOW DID YOU FEEL WHEN YERIN FIRST MESSAGED YOU TO INVITE YOU TO THE MONTHLY GATHERINGS THEY ORGANIZE? 

"I was a bit confused and a little nervous at first. I mean, the message opened up with, "I know what you are", which is a TAD BIT CREEPY! Once I got passed the first sentence, I realized Yerin was gifted and that's how she knew. Once I realized, this wasn't a hoax, I was beyond excited. Finally, I could be around other gifted people. Yerin might be the mom of our little psychic Breakfast Club, but I have a lot of experience with abilities, so I try to help the others when they want it. I try not to push - even though I REALLY want to," she laughed as she finished. 

WHEN WAS THE FIRST TIME YOU VISITED THE CAFE? WHAT DID YOU THINK OF IT, AND WHY DID YOU ENTER? 

Bekah made a face as she tried to recall. "A year ago, maybe? I didn't really keep track of that information. It wasn't anything extraordinary, so it wasn't ingrained in my memory; however, every now and then the scene plays out before me when I visit. Looking back on it, Yerin was totally creeping, always trying to touch my sleeve or shoulder," Bekah laughed as she thought back on it fondly. "But, at the time, I thought it was cozy and a nice place to watch the outside world. I could sit by the window and just people watch. I only chose the place because it was in a good location and looked homely."

NICKNAMES. Ji | It's simply a shortened version of his name. Bekah uses it a lot when she doesn't want to put the effort into saying his full name. 
Cher or Mon cher | Bekah had originally given JiYong this nickname long ago. It wasn't originally intended to be romantic. They had exchanged nicknames after they had watched The Addams Family movies and tried imitating Gomez and Morticia. Of course, when a relationship began, the terms are used lovingly.

JiYong works hard to get what he wants. He's ambitious and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. He doesn't believe that there's anything that he can't do. JiYong believes if he works long enough he can achieve anything. People can see that in his passions. He'll put his heart and soul into what he's doing and his friends admire him for that. He enjoys having a good time and loves to joke around with others. He's witty and has a great sense of humor. Sometimes his jokes are dark or erted but they're all good natured. He has outgoing personality and always wants to try new things. He's friendly and typically the life of the party. He also loves to tease Bekah and flirt with her, even though they're already dating. He's always there for Bekah and she can always count on him to help her through whatever the day throws at her.  

But, he doens't always come off as so happy-go-lucky. A lot of people claim that he can be intimidating. He seems to be in a league of his own and people are sometimes afraid to approach him. Also, JiYong was never good with playing with others, even when he was young. He's always been possessive of what he considers his - whether that's an object or an  individual. If you're declared his, just give in to it. JiYong won't rest until he has what he thinks is his. JiYong can be a bit reckless and careless, charging into things head on. Bekah has to keep him in check, because he tends to think he's amazing at everything and anything.

INTERACTIONS.

Bekah and JiYong are parallels to Gomez and Morticia. It's not a conventional relationship, and anyone who sees them might think them strange, but it's pure. Their weirdness compliments one another's. Bekah opens up to JiYong in a way she never thought she could. Even when she doesn't feel like talking, JiYong knows how to make her feel better. He never prys because he knows Bekah will just close down. Instead, he's just there for her. Neither Bekah nor JiYong have any qualms with performing skinship. They love touching one another, even outside of a ual aspect. Even though they're big talkers, they believe showing one's love means more. The two are always at least holding hands but JiYong typically has an arm around either Bekah's shoulders or waist. The two are rambunctious and energetic and they're always up for an adventure.

A lot of people are surprised their relationship has lasted as long as it has. Both JiYong and Bekah are very passionate people. They love without inhibitions. People think that all their passion must run out. But it doesn't, because there's so much more to their relationship. They're best friends and lovers. They've always had one another's back and keeping one another company and safe are priorities. Unfortunately, they're both a bit careless with themselves, but they're not careless with one another. They see one another as equals - no better, no worse than one another. JiYong doesn't worship the ground Bekah walks on just as Bekah doesn't see JiYong as the sun and the moon. They are equal and their love is boundless.
LOVE STORY.

Bekah first met JiYong in one of her general education courses during her first year at university. They had been paired up to do some project and they instantly clicked. They became fast friends and were soon always hanging out. She spent a lot of her time in JiYong's dorm and the two would go to parties together. Even as they had less and less classes together, the two still stayed close friends and Bekah even considered him her best friend. 

After university, the two moved into an apartment together. For the first two years of them living together, things had continued on as they always had. They were simply friends. Best of friends, but friends none the less. They had started dating new people. Bekah was dating a guy named Lee Hongki while JiYong dated a girl named Park Sandara. Both Hongki and Sandara accussed JiYong and Bekah, respectively, that they were flirting or hitting on their significant other. Like always, they had to explain that they were just good friends. But, that began to change. As days would go by, Bekah began to notice a warm feeling in her stomach whenever she was with JiYong. At first, she passed it off as the safe feeling she always had, but it wasn't quite right. She kept quiet about the feeling though. Bekah was happy with Hongki and didn't want to ruin what she had with him or her friendship with JiYong. However, that all changed one night when the two friends were spending a night in with just one another. They were cuddled together on the couch and JiYong had his arm wrapped around Bekah's shoulders. This was nothing new for the two. But, something just felt different and Bekah picked up on it. JiYong was slowly rubbing her shoulder and soon his fingers were ghosting up her neck. Next thing Bekah knew, she had her lips on JiYong's. She had no idea what compelled her to kiss her friend, but she had. 

This complicated things and the two pretended that it never happened. They kept this up for a few weeks. They began to spend more and more time out and about with their respective significant others. Bekah wanted to commit herself to the relationship she had with Hongki. He was sweet and charming and could always make her laugh. But, she couldn't get the kiss with JiYong out of her mind. It even began to haunt her dreams. It was about two months after the kiss before Bekah broke it off with Hongki. She couldn't continue a relationship with such a sweet man if she wasn't fully committed. Back in her apartment, Bekah missed her friend. The two had avoided each other since the kiss to the best of her abilities and she hated it. One night, she texted him and told him that she missed him and wanted to talk. They met up in their living room and she learned that he had broken up with Sandara because he was caught up on their kiss. The two agreed to give it a go, and began dating. They've been together for almost two years. They soon moved into the same bedroom and used the second bedroom as a study/living area.  

ENDING.

Bekah sees the past, not the future. She couldn't tell you what happens between her and JiYong. But, she thinks they will be together for a long time.

TRIVIA. 

- Their go-to movie is the Addams Family or Addams Family Values. 

- They do have a set of silver rings. They were specially engraved. On Bekah's ring it reads, "Cara mia", and on JiYong's ring it reads, "Mon cher". Bekah and JiYong are thinking about getting the sayings tattooed on their ring fingers.
