( appearance ) : with a tousled mane of dark brown hair and the flutter of her false eyelashes, seoleun is a rather attractive female. she stands at 162 cm and weighs 49 kg, so she's a rather petite lady. her pale skin is kept pearly white with various skin whitening products, but there's no hiding those dark undereye circles when she takes off her makeup; seoleun often has circle lenses on because she has weak eyesight, and personally, she likes the effect they have on her eyes.
( tattoo ) : seoleun's tattoo is located on the back of her calf, which is really dumb because when will she ever see when she gets a tally, but hey, you can't get everything you want, right? her tattoo says b.s.k. on it, and she wonders everyday if her soulmate's name is as cute and aesthetic as hers, but to no prevail because she knows about a billion people with the initials b.s.k., and none of them have been her soulmate.
( style ) : seoleun leans on the more casual and comfortable side, while still being chic at the same time. she likes wearing jeans and shorts over skirts because dang it, she doesn't want to worry about anyone seeing what they shouldn't, and it's just easier to pull on pants than a skirt, ugh. she usually likes to wear t-shirts paired with a cardigan or a jacket over it, but if it's particularly cold that day, she'll throw on a sweater instead. most of her shoes are tennis shoes, but she does have a few heels that she wears on rare occasions. seoleun loves to wear accessories, so you'll probably see her wearing a pair of sunglasses or a hat basically anywhere, and her outfits aren't complete without them.

( elaboration ) : meet kwak seoleun, whom everyone seems to have the same opinion about. "she's just a lazy girl, she doesn't do much. there's not many things to say about her," they'd say, and while it's partially true, there are even more layers to her than they'd ever know. seoleun is generally a very easygoing person; she doesn't care about many things, and tends to ride the waves just like the sea turtles in finding nemo. if you ever ask her where she wanted to go or where she wanted to eat, she'd probably shrug and say something like "ehh, anything is fine. you choose." she never complains, and that's probably why her friends still deal with her, even though she's literally like a sloth. also, seoleun is one of the most obedient girls you'd ever meet. it doesn't seem like she'd be, since she looks like she'd be too reluctant to even get up from bed, but if you asked her to do something, you'd be surprised to see her doing it dilligently. not many people recognize this part of seoleun, so when they see it happening, they're shocked; is kwak seoleun actually up and listening to someone? don't take her lightly, she's a hardworking girl, even if it doesn't seem like it. also, she is incredibly faithful and once she knows that someone is loyal and trustworthy to her, then she will stick by your side, probably for an eternity. she's like a cat, honestly. once she warms up to you, then you'll have to prepare for her antics, which tend to get wild sometimes.
despite that, seoleun is truly very pessimistic. she always thinks about the negatives, and it dominates her life a lot of the time. she can't help but to think that way; she's never been an excessively positive person, but there have always been strings of doubt in her mind, and she tends to think badly, since things can always go wrong, or at least she believes so. just like in murphy's quantum law, anything that can, could have, or will go wrong, is going to go wrong, and seoleun adheres by that like it's a diet. she's also pretty lazy (though everyone knows that already). her hobbies include laying in bed, and then getting up to lay on the couch and eat whatever she has lying around. she's definitely reluctant to do a lot of things, and it's visible when you go into her tiny apartment; the trash is always slightly overfilled, there's clothes lying in a pile on the couch, and it's just an overall mess. oh goodness, if seoleun wasn't a struggling college student, she would definitely hire a cleaner, but you just can't have the good things in life can you? it's alright, there are times when seoleun will clean up, but most of the time, she just lays around and does her own thing. just by looking at her too, seoleun is visibly quite standoffish. it's a little hard for her to make friends because people avoid her since she's not the type to be super friendly and outgoing; in fact, throughout her whole life, she's only had a handful of friends, and they're the only ones that have ever dared approach her. because of her attitude, she seems really uninterested and cold, and because of that, no one particularly wanted to talk to her, and it also comes with her disinterested way of talking too. she doesn't mean to act that way; it just happens, and she can't help it honestly. she often beat herself about it when she was younger, but at this point, she just accepted it, and thought of it as something trivial. if people wanted to talk to her, they will, and if they remain her friend, then she'll remain faithful by their side.
( background ) : kwak seoleun was born in mid-1997, and was a fussy baby. her parents had always thought of her as a one-and-done baby because she was just a handful for them; she'd always cry and scream throughout the night and sleep through the day, when her parents had to go to work, and it was like she was sent from hell to ruin their lives. as she grew up, however, she became generally more calm and relaxed, which was nice for her parents, until they realized that she grew up to be a literal sloth. she was lazy as heck and didn't want to do anything, and she lazed around all day, which annoyed the heck out of them, but they just accepted their daughter for who she is, after they realized that they couldn't change her with any amount of scolding. seoleun grew up to be a pretty good kid actually; she didn't do anything to get her in trouble, and she always did the minimal amount of work that she was required to do, so all was well. there wasn'y much happening in her middle school and high school life, other than the fact that everyone thought she was scary and only a handful of people had the courage to approach her, but out of all of them, the one that stuck by her is now her "bffl", or so seoleun endearingly says. in the end, seoleun decided to apply for a university in jeju, mostly because she wanted to live there for a little bit, and because she just wanted to go to a new place; jeju was perfect because it wasn't too far, but it was far enough for her to be comfortable. she soon applied, and got in, and then she moved there once the time for her to go had come.
at first, she struggled to adjust to her new surroundings. she wasn't completely fluent in the jejudo dialect, and going to school where that was all they spoke gave her a headache everyday. she wasn't entirely used to having to do so much work, and having decided on a nursing major, she didn't even know why she was lazy all her life; in that moment when she stepped foot into college, she just regretted all of her life decisions. she would cry in relief every time she finally got to go back to her apartment, but it was terrible because she only had instant noodles, and she didn't even have a netflix because she hadn't gotten the wifi from her land-lord, meaning that she couldn't do any research, and she wanted to cry. she had gotten a simple job as a cashier at a retail store, but her boss fired her, so she went to go get a job at the disneyland in jeju because she heard they were hiring, and like she says, "yolo right?" so after getting fired, she had her interview as a janitor, and though they were reluctant, they were short on cleaning staff, so they hired her, and now you can call seoleun disney's slave... but they pay her good.

• wonsuk is kinda... childlike if you'd have to describe him in one word. he's a respected doctor in his office, but at-home, he's a silly father and a doting husband, all at the same time. he's a little gullible and definitely more forgetful than his wife and eldest daughter combined, but he's a good guy and his love for his family gets bigger everyday.
kwak jihyun ; 40 ; mother (fc: im soojung)
• her youthful mother is practically seoleun's twin, personality-wise. she's pretty lazy and religiously believes that morning people are the spawn of the devil because how the heck are they morning people. you can expect to see her in bed, or waddling to the kitchen to surf through the fridge; but don't be misguided, she's a great mother that always caters to her children's needs, even if she may be a little strict sometimes.
kwak naeun ; 4 ; younger sister (fc: yerin park)
• if there's one person that seoleun doesn't yawn around, it's her little sister. this little ball of sunshine is a super cutie and she believes that seoleun lives at disneyworld now, so there's that. she's an impressionable little girl, but very friendly and energetic - energetic enough to make seoleun wake up, so that she can play with her.
kim cheonji ; 18 ; best friend (fc: gfriend's yerin)
• cheonji has been seoleun's friend since high school, and honestly, the pair have gone through a bunch together, including 2 a.m. hang-outs and disagreements over boys (regrettably). despite that, those events have helped to make them become closer, and cheonji might actually be the only person to truly understand seoleun's lazy nature, besides her parents.
kang roo ri ; 18 ; co-worker/friend (fc: park hwanhui)
• this bundle of sunshine, who's known as alice in the amusement park, was one of seoleun's first friends when she first started working at disneyworld. they first started talking when roo ri started talking to her in jeju satoori, and while seoleun knew a little bit of satoori, since she goes to a jeju school, she isn't the best at it, and just looked at her all crazy, and that's how the duo started talking. seoleun would always tease roo ri if she saw her around by saying something in jeju satoori, and from then on, they just started talking more and gradually became good friends. 
kang haeri ; 18 ; self-proclaimed rival (fc: aoa's seolhyun)
• haeri has had a crush on seokmin since day one of working in disneyworld, so seeing seoleun being chummy with him doesn't flow well with her. she doesn't bully her, but she's not exactly the nicest to her either??? it's weird, but seoleun just knows that she tries to get seokmin away from her??? aiya, seoleun doesn't really care, she's too lazy to anyways.

seungkwan the man trustworthy, enthusiastic, optimistic
self-conscious, sensitive, oblivious seungkwan the baby
seungkwan is the boy that everyone goes to, whenever they are feeling down and need to rant; he is one of the most trustworthy people in the whole entire world, and to be quite honest, he keeps his lips sealed like it's glued together with cement. he's a reliable person to talk to, and no one has to worry about him spilling their secrets because guess what? he won't. seungkwan is a pretty enthusiastic boy too, and his personality matches his child-like appearance. he was pretty much meant to work for disney, like, every time seoleun's seen him, he's only been smiling and chatting with his co-workers. it's really cute, since he just seems like he enjoys life a lot (which is a concept that people think seoleun doesn't know about), and he's an incredibly optimistic person, as well. he tends to think positively of all situations, good or bad, and strangely enough, he always knows how to twist something negative into a positive. maybe that's why seoleun likes hanging around him so much; his positivity brings out a smile from her, shocking even her best friend.
seungkwan, however, does tend to be quite self-conscious about himself. he may not be the tallest boy around, nor the cutest boy, but when it's vocalized into words from other people, it causes seungkwan to feel even more insecure about himself. he always doubts himself, and holds himself to extremely high standards that make him feel even worse about himself. he's also pretty sensitive and one wrong word will get him hurt easily. he tends to hold back his thoughts, but even in the end, it's hard for him to hide his sensitivity. he even knows he's sensitive, yet he just doesn't know how to stop being so sensitive. our poor baby seungkwan is also quite oblivious. not as oblivious as seoleun, but he's still very oblivious, and it can be endearing at some points, but most of the time, it's just plain irritating. no matter how many hints someone gives him, he just doesn't get it until they have to say it out loud, and even then, he'll barely get it. sometimes, he's just a little bit difficult, but nonetheless, very lovable still.
( love story ) : seungkwan and seoleun first met by coincidence. she was working in the later parts of the day, and the restaurant that seungkwan was working at happened to be closing, and it was one of seoleun's responsibilities to clean up the restaurants too, so she made her way there, and when seungkwan first saw her walk in, his interest was piqued. he had seen seoleun around disneyland before, and he had observed her cleaning around. it was quite surprising to him because how could such a pretty girl be doing a janitor's job?! he noticed her one time when he was on his break, and the restaurant was too crowded for his liking, so he went outside for a seat, and there was seoleun, brushing her broom through the streets of disney. he found her cute, but he was sure that he was way under her league, and never felt like approaching her, though he wished he had the opportunity to. seoleun never really paid attention to seungkwan, until she met him when she had to clean the restaurant, but once she walked into the store, it had shocked the boy; his heart was beating wildly out of his chest, and he did not expect her to be there. he stuttered a hello, and was surprised to hear her say a sleepy and careless "hello" back to him. she's intimidating, he first thought, but it didn't deter him from wanting to talk to her. his friendly self was chatting it up with seoleun, and at first, she was confused, like why the heck was this weirdo talking to her so much???? but over time, seoleun accepted it and even tried talking to him back, and to be honest, she was quite flattered every time he said hello or even waved at her during work because she had never experienced that before; she had always looked intimidating, so no one would want to approach her, and the fact that seungkwan approached her (relentlessly, she might add) was strange, yet heartwarming. she didn't know why, but she liked it.
( interaction ) : seoleun's relationship with seungkwan started off awkwardly, if that was even a good word to describe it. after just meeting each other, they did not know what to do; like seriously, they were polar opposites, and it's strange for seoleun to think that seungkwan actually wanted to be her friend. she didn't quite expect anything from their friendship, but she just felt that there was something weird about him, yet she couldn't quite put her finger on it. seungkwan was super friendly with her, and she couldn't understand why; afterall, why would anyone want to be seoleun's friend? she just remained nice and friendly, though, and was civil with him, but over time, she saw their relationship changing into a direction she had never gone through before. they started texting, with seungkwan at first asking what her schedule was like, and then asking her if she wanted to eat with him - and he'd even pay for it too. she was shocked, like what is this boy up to? it was strange for her, but she didn't think too much about it (which is classic of the oh-so-oblivious seoleun). she agreed to go out and eat with him, and from there, their relationship became even closer. they talked all the time (through text and even through real life conversations too, surprisingly enough), and there would be moments where seungkwan's hand rested on seoleun's back for a second too long or times where he would say something a word too suggestively, and seoleun didn't know what to think of it. by the time she thought of checking her tallies, it shocked her that she had her five tallies, but she couldn't figure out who it really was. of course she thought about seungkwan, but it was silly; she had talked to plenty of her co-workers and fellow classmates at school, and she hadn't even bothered to check her tallies in ages, so who could've been her person? she kept a suspicious lookout for who she thought would be her soulmate, and god was it strange because seoleun would've never thought that she would be looking for her soulmate like this; she just thought it would happen naturally and she could feel it, but after a while of observing around and a lot of thinking, she had concluded that the only person even remotely close to being her soulmate was no one else besides boo seungkwan. she was sure of it, but she wasn't sure at the same time, and one day, she mustered all of her courage, and bravely asked him, "are you my soulmate?" seungkwan burst out with the biggest smile she had ever seen, and it was clear; they were soulmates, and although shy, seoleun got to be with him even more, stating that there was a reason for it whenever someone asked why they hung out so much. she was scared initially because god, wasn't she just jumping into it so quickly? she told that to seungkwan, but he was kind and reassuring. "don't worry. we can take it slow, we have our whole life to learn about each other," he'd say, and seoleun had never loved someone more.

tally one (i) - they receive this tally when seoleun walks by the restaurant and seungkwan is serving someone sitting by the door.
tally two (ii) - seungkwan gets this tally first; he's on his break and is sitting outside when he notices a janitor yawning as she's sweeping the floor next to a food cart. seoleun gets hers when she gets hungry and stares inside the restaurant, noticing a gentle-looking waiter inside.
tally three (iii) - this tally comes from when seoleun passes by the restaurant again and their eyes accidentally cross paths. they don't realize it then, but later, they see a third tally on their bodies.
tally four (v) - this comes way after they meet, and seungkwan was getting a piece of lint off of seoleun's hand, but this time, he finally notices a new addition to their tallies.
tally five (iv) - this tally comes before 'tally four' and it occurred when they first met, and seungkwan said, "hi my name is boo seungkwan. who are you?" seoleun couldn't help but to respond.
( ending ) : seoleun's never had a boyfriend before, so she was lost on seeing seungkwan's signals, and even noticing the change in tallies (probably because it was located in a place where she couldn't see, sigh), but it didn't stop her from harboring a small crush on him. she didn't even know the basics of dating and flirting, but boo seungkwan is a kind boy, and didn't hold it against her; well, instead of holding it against her, the only thing he held was her hand.

( introduce yourself! ) : "hi i'm kwak seoleun and i'm 20 years old," she said, waving lazily. "i'm a student at university, and my hobbies include sleeping and crying through my textbooks as i contemplate what dying feels like. it's nice to meet you."
( ah, nice to meet you! so, what job are you applying for and why? ) : "i'm applying for the janitor job because why not, there's good pay and i don't have to worry about doing anything at a fast pace, so yeah. and i'm also not cut out for any other jobs you have here, as stated by my ex-boss, and if i can recall correctly, he said, "the only job that would remotely accept you would be a janitor's job!!!" and now i'm here," she said with a shrug.
( so, what qualities do you think you posses that makes you qualified for this job? ) : "well," seol started off, "i can clean pretty good, if i say so myself. and i'm also pretty obedient, i'll do whatever you say. if you want me to clean up that half-eaten churro, hand me that broom and i'll pick it up all day, everyday."
( what are you opinions on kids? ) : "well i don't hate them," seoleun drawled, "but they smell like feet, so i prefer not to be around them, and i think janitors get the opportunity to stay as far away from them as they want, so you know. just a thought."
( and why do you need this job? ) : "well, you see, i got fired from my last job because... okay, we won't go into details, but i got fired, and i'm a struggling college student, and i only live on shin ramen noodles, so yeah. i don't want the job... i need it." she answered with a sigh.
( okay! thank you! we'll call you back in a few weeks to say if you got the job! thank you! ) : "well, thanks for interviewing me, have a good day." seoleun answered with a firm nod, before getting up and leaving.
