A Strange Kind of Love

Have you ever loved some one so much that it hurts to be together and it hurts to be apart? But it's not so much romantic.

It's hard to describe, really.

How you can lay with someone at night, talking about everything that pops into your head, holding each other, your hearts beating almost as one-and yet you don't have a single romantic desire towards that person.

Is it true that you can love someone in that way? Is it true that you can want to love that someone with every fiber of your being, but in your own way? Is that really love, or is it something else?

But it must be love. You would give or do anything for that person. Your heart sinks when they are sad, your lips curve upwards when they laugh, and if they called for you, you'd be there in a heartbeat.

This is a strange kind of love. We're taught about romantic love and familial love, but not about the awkward curve inbetween.
