Jihae is not much of a different person on/off cam. She likes to keep it real. She's cheerful, despite her cold facade. People always think that she's some sort of Ice princess but the truth is she's very gentle and warm.

She says she doesn't like kids so much but she keeps a soft spot for them deep inside especially when she has Jiyeol. Jihae is one of those tough bright girls. She doesn't show much of her emotional side on cam because she's an idol but in reality, she's really emotional and cries over simple things.

Though, she doesn't know much about being a mother, she tries to make an effort for her child. She cares so much for her baby boy. She minds his safety the most. She doesn't want him to be exposed to the media but in the end, he still got exposed which pulled more of her protective mother side.

⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫

Born on the 18th of August, 1993 in Guangzhou, China. Yoon Jihae was named Yun Jie in chinese. Her Mother is a full Chinese and Her Father is a native Korean from Daegu. Her Mother gave birth to her in Guangzhou because of her Grandparents' wishes but after that, Jihae was taken back to Daegu. Jihae had no siblings at all; which pretty much made her parents treasure her and encourage everything that she wants.

At the young age of 6, Jihae found herself developing a love for Kpop music. She idolized the group S.E.S so much and there, she found herself dreaming to be an idol one day. She performs for her school whenever she can. 

When she turned 14, her family moved to Seoul to support Jihae's dream. She auditioned to be a trainee in most of the big entertainment companies in Seoul. Though she wasn't accepted easily. They told her she was lacking, especially in the dancing part. So Jihae took dance lessons to get better. The next year, she auditioned again and she got in SM Entertainment, one of the big three. 

Jihae's career started from there. She trained for about three years before she debuted in a 6 member girl group. The band's debut immediately became a hit within a few weeks after their debut.

Jihae doesn't have much drama in her life until she turned 21 where everything turned upside down.

As her Dad,  he completely supports her decisions especially her dream to be an idol. He's never mad to his daughter even after she had a child. he loves his grandson dearly and he's  very protective over him.

She became her crying shoulder when she accidentally revealed her child into the media and he defended her as much as he can.

⟪ SCANDALS ⟫ Jihae, as an idol, has been involved in multiple scandals before. Dating scandals, wardrobe malfunctions and most especially, people suspecting her pregnancy.

⇒ Myungsoo-Jihae past relationship : some k-net found some old photos of Myungsoo and jihae during their pre-debut days and exposed the two idols' past relationship but the scandal didn't last that long considering that they broke up already.

⇒ Kris-Jihae dating scandal : The two were caught outside the SM building by dispatch looking like they just came from a date. A few more pictures came after the said scandal. They said that Jihae took Kris to their Cafe but the scandal didn't last long because of Kris' departure from EXO.

⟪ INTERACTIONS WITH MOM ⟫

Jiyeol was taken care by Jihae at his first three months but after that, Jihae became busy during the day but she makes sure she comes home every night to take care of her son, even if her schedules finish at 2 AM. Jihae makes time for her son, knowing that Jiyeol's father can't also be there for him everytime. 

It's a good thing that Jiyeol grew to be a very understanding baby. He obeys his Mom and he doesn't whine or cry so much when his Mom is there. In fact, he's very very clingy towards her and is always seeking for her presence.

⟪ INTERACTIONS WITH DAD ⟫

Yifan comes home as much as he could to see his son. Even though, he never knew about him until he turned 3 months old. Jihae called him and told him about the baby which scared him at the same time made him very very happy. He still adored him to the fullest. Once he found out about his own son, he went home immediately and almost cried in happiness. 

But Yifan goes back to China a lot to take care of his career there, leaving his two angels alone. That was until he got invited to a show wherein he could be with his angels.

⟪ HOW DID YOU MEET DADDY? ⟫

Kris was a trainee is SM Entertainment when they met. Jihae was 15 and Kris was 20. She just entered at that time and Kris was the first one to welcome her but not in a so warm way. He warned her about the deadly practices and harsh words she'll be getting from the staffs but that didn't change Jihae's mind and pursued on her dreams. That amazed Kris so tried to get to know Jihae. The two became close as soon as they found out that they both have chinese blood. They became inseperable during their trainee days. 

Kris would often take Jihae out to eat but Jihae would only drag Kris to a chicken restaurant, making Kris whine. Jihae would be Kris' crying shoulder whenever he gets scolded by the staff for messing up the steps. Kris becomes Jihae's pillow whenever she's exhausted from practice. Jihae would be Kris' enemy is video games and his manhwa buddy. Kris would be Jihae's listener to every rant that she has for Myungsoo before. Kris would always pretend to be unaffecteded by that though. They thought nothing could seperate them.

Years pass and after Kris debuted, they became distant from each other because of Kris' promotions in China. Jihae got sad because his Gege Oppa wasn't there with her during tough pratices. 

When Kris' promotions ended, he took Jihae to Han River and confessed his love for her. It was cliche but Jihae loved it. She immediately said yes to Kris. The two lasted 2 years until Kris decided to leave SM and EXo, saying that he couldn't take it anymore but Jihae and Kris didn't break up. 

Jihae supported her boyfriend's decision. They grew distant due to both of their schedules. So Kris decided to break their relationship but he left a little remembrance to Jihae by accident that would bring them back together.

⟪ MOMMY AND BABIES INTERACTION WITH DADDY ON CAMERA ⟫

Kris is very very playful with Jiyeol. They run around the house a lot and sometimes when Jihae would be busy doing something or playing with her phone, Kris would steal it away and hide it with Jiyeol. One of Kris' favorite things to do is to carry people, especially Jihae. So he carries her arounf the house a lot, along with Jiyeol who clings to him like koala everytime he gets a chance.

♦ KRIS AND JIHAE'S BREAK UP

After Kris' departure from EXO, he asked Jihae to come leave with him but Jihae wouldn't want to leave her rising career so she stayed. They agreed to call each other everyday to keep their long distance relationship working but it didn't work out well.

Kris noticed that so he came back to Korea after a few months to see Jihae. It was around January 2015. It was their last time together but their love blossomed into something magical that neither Jihae nor kris were prepared for. 

♦ JIHAE'S PREGNANCY AND REVELATION TO THE MEDIA

Jihae found out about her pregnancy one month later their break up. She was scared as hell and didn't know what to do. being an Idol makes it even more complicated. Many questions popped in Jihae's mind. She rushed to her bestfriends and parents for support and everything but she contemplated on whether she would tell the father, Kris, about it. Jihae told everyone else that she's sick and she's taking a hiatus. it wasn't that easy considering that she's from SMEnt but she's lucky enough that she was an important idol to the company. Her parents and friends helped her through her pregnancy.

It was tough but she got by. She graved for mochi when she was pregnant resulting to Jiyeol's fluffy mochi-like cheeks. She gave birth at exactly October 4, 2015. Though she was scared of the reaction of the public, having Jiyeol is still the best thing that has ever happened to her.

She kept him hidden from his father for three months until she got the courage to tell him about Jiyeol. Kris went home immediately asking for his child. Jihae let him be because she has other things to take care of. She doesn't want to have any fight with him.

On Jiyeol's 1st birthday, Kris went home to celebrate with them. When she was in the airport  waiting for Kris with Jiyeol , she got recognized by a fan. They surrounded them and Jihae had to run away from everyone. A scandal rose and Kris and Jihae's name were in the front page again. Her fear came true.

Her career was on the verge of falling and SM did scold her very well, warning her. But what she's mostly worried about was Jiyeol. She was never ready for this mom role nor ready to face this problem but a part of her already has an attachment to her baby that made her worry 24/7 about his safety after the media found out about him.

She cannot take him to the park anymore nor go shopping with him. It was one of the problems of being an Idol Mom. 

When she thought she'll finally lose her career, a show was offered to her and just in time when Kris came back home to be with Jiyeol and her.
