A Little History Reminder / Lesson

I came across something on Tumblr, which is very worthwhile to spread and share...

Nowadays whenever I watch a documentary on Nazi Germany (1933 - 1945) or the Second World War (1939 - 1945), or a film or a TV drama which centres on that era, I always cannot help but think back to this man...

This man--- Neville Chamberlain, Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1937 - 1940, was probably one of the first few, naive politicians...

After the First World War (1914 - 1918), the map of Europe was re-drawn and several new countries were formed, and as a result, 3 million Germans found themselves living in part of Czechoslovakia. When Adolf Hitler came to power, one of the first things he wanted to do was to unite all Germans under one nation. In September 1938, Hitler turned his focus to the Germans living in part of Czechoslovakia- the Sudetenland. Sudeten Germans began protests and provoked violence from the Czech police, Hitler claimed 300 Sudeten Germans were killed, which was not true, Hitler used it as an excuse to place German soldiers along the Czech border. By this time, the Allied countries were already fearing as to what will happen, and what Hitler is up to.

Neville Chamberlain flew to meet Hitler at his private mountain retreat in Berchtesgaden in an attempt to resolve the crisis. On his return to Britain, he actually waved that piece of paper in the air, and told the crowd that the piece of paper in his hand will prevent WW2, and that was in 1938...Really?! When were the Nazis ever trustworthy? How on earth can one think you can trust Hitler and his Nazis with their heinous fascist, racist, anti-LGBT, and white supremist beliefs and principles? (Sound familiar, anyone?)

In other words...

I will end here by saying, only idiots will believe and trust Putin, Xi, Kim and/or Trump, and only they will think those dictators will appreciate manners and politeness, and that you can kill them with kindness.
