THE FACTS
Full Name: Hwang Dahee
Birthdate: 12121997
Current Residence: Incheon, South Korea
Ethnicity: Korean

Faceclaim: Wendy Red Velvet
Backup Faceclaim: Jimin 15&

Appearance: Despite what it looks like in her profile picture on Facebook, Dahee is not as attractive as she used to be. That girl with the sleek blonde hair and the pretty looks used to be her many moons ago, but now, she dons dull black locks and fat that came to her after she got fired from her previous job and fell into a slump. She used to have beautiful skin that featured nearly zero blemishes, yet she's now riddled with acne that came from stress, and you can tell she hasn't been taking care of herself as much as she previously did. She's only 154 cm, which is quite short, and often earns her the nickname of 'Midget' or 'Short Stacks'. She hates the way she looks, but she doesn't know where to begin to fixing her appearance.

Style: Back from when Dahee was still cute, she wore a lot of petite outfits, ranging from dresses to blouses with nice shorts. She preferred to wear leggings and jeans, but there'll be those occasional days where she goes all out and dresses up prettily to impress mostly herself (and so she can take multiple pictures of for her Instagram). Nowadays, however, she just wears hoodies and sweaters in the colder days, and a casual tee that probably looks quite worn. She wears a lot of baggy or stretchy clothes, such as leggings, but she hates wearing clothes that make her look fatter than she already is. She would love to wear the clothes that she used to, but unfortunately, they don't make that many nice clothes for obese people where she lives, and getting it shipped to her home is too expensive for her. Dahee just has to settle with what she has.
DIGGING DEEPER
Personality Traits:

(+) loving, good-natured, kind, charming
(–) pessimistic, self-conscious, cowardly, sensitive

Background: Dahee never really expected to be someone who dated online, honestly. Well, she never expected to become fat either, but after being fired from her previous job, she fell into a huge slump because she wasn't getting hired anywhere, and just felt terrible about herself. She ate her stress away, and by the time she got another job, she had gained 15 kg, and her friends and family were shocked at her transformation. After that, Dahee has always been extremely self-conscious about her looks. She thought that she would be able to meet a guy that would accept her anyways, but no one did, and she joined a martial arts group on Facebook because she wanted to lose weight and did martial arts as a kid, so she was hoping to pick it up, and Minghao just randomly came along, so Dahee went along with it, and now she's swooning for her Chinese man. She never wanted to tell him the truth about her appearance though; she hated the way she looked, and she was sure that Minghao would hate her if he saw the miserable state she was in. If Dahee were Minghao, she would have despised her so much; she would've felt like she wasted all of her time on someone who was actually terribly ugly and disgusting, and she didn't want him to leave her. He made her feel like the happiest and most loved girl in the world, and that's all she wanted. He always wanted to see her and even offered to come to Korea, but Dahee knows she can't. No matter how much she wants to see him, she knows it's impossible because the moment he sees the real her and figures it out, he would leave her in that instance, and she didn't want to lose him. She doesn't know what to do.

Friends/Family: They're weirded out by Dahee, but they understand a little bit. She seems extremely happy when she talks about Minghao, so all of her family and friends are alright with him, but they find it a little strange that she's dating someone online (and someone from China), rather than someone in person and lives near her; they could never understand Dahee's thought process, but they could see why she'd go for him. Perhaps maybe her extra kilograms have deterred her from actual dating, but they feel slightly bad for her; they just don't know how to help.

Online Love: Minghao
How They Met: Dahee always recounts the memory on how she met her online lover. She had joined a martial arts group on Facebook after she got fat, due to her want to lose the weight and perhaps maybe meeting all of these people would help her on her journey, but this boy caught her attention. His name was Minghao, and she admired how cute he was, relentlessly searching through his pictures and admittedly looking through his 'about me' and squealing in delight when she saw that he was the same age as her. She wanted to talk to him so badly, but she hated the way she looked. There was no way she'd let him see her real appearance; it was just too pitiful. Because of that, it had driven her fear, and she refused to talk to him first. She wasn't even close to being worthy to being able to talk to him! However, Minghao was the first one to make a move, and no one could have imagined the glee on Dahee's face when she was eating and then suddenly saw that he had sent her a friend request. Her hands were trembling as she accepted the request, and she nearly had a heart attack when he messaged a simple "Hello :)" a minute later. Dahee's fangirl heart was beating out of her chest as she put down the food to respond to him and that was the start of everything. They spent countless days messaging, and she even called him on the phone a few times, and oh goodness, her ears melted from listening to his honey voice. She loves talking to him. She loves him a whole lot, but she's sure that he only likes her because of her appearance before she became fat; Dahee doesn't want to even imagine a Minghao that stopped loving her because she was already so in love with him... but relationships aren't built on lies. She's always felt insanely guilty about never really telling Minghao the actual truth about her, but the thought of him leaving crushed her more. She didn't know what to do. Minghao had once asked if she wanted to video chat, but she lied, and said that her camera was broken, and he even offered to come to Korea from China, and Dahee wanted to say yes so badly, she wanted to be able to meet him in real life more than anyone could have imagined, but she didn't want to show him the real her. She hated the real her, and she was sure that Minghao would too. Precious Minghao didn't deserve to suffer and date a fat and ugly liar, she concluded, but she could never let him go. It's been a year of them talking, and Minghao is really intent and persistent on wanting to meet her, and Dahee always wants to just allow him to come over, so she could finally meet him, but life just isn't fair sometimes.

Interactions: Dahee texts Minghao every chance she gets. She loves talking to him, and they generally have a pretty good relationship; she talks to him about her problems and most of her concerns, and so does he with her, and Dahee is extremely comfortable around him - but not that comfortable. She is good with telling him a lot about her, except for the fact that she's like 15 kg bigger than he knows of her, so there's that, but she doesn't mean to hide it forever... just until she gets a little bit skinnier. For the first few months, Dahee was extremely shy with him, but afterwards, she grew used to talking to him and found it easy to converse with him; she used to also be reluctant to call him because she was convinced that he'd somehow find out about her secret, but finally mustered up the courage one day when he really begged her to let him call her. It didn't turn out as bad as she thought it would, and she continued to call him, but once he mentioned video chatting, it was a definite no. Dahee tried to get out of it by saying that her camera was broken and she didn't have time to go out and buy another video camera, but she can't use that excuse forever. Minghao was upset that he couldn't see her face, and she could tell, but Dahee was sure that he didn't even want to see her face anyways. It would've been so much better if she hadn't gained all of that weight, wouldn't it?
