NICKNAME(S):

► jordan // it's his english name, and his stage name
► jord, joe, jojo, jojodan, j-dan, danyjo, dandanjo, nadroj.. etc.. — jordan has been called every deritatives that can be made with his name. it's even became a joke with the underappreciated, who tries to come up with something new everytime they see each other. sometimes, jordan even receives texts from him when they're not together, or the underappreciated wakes him up in the middle of the night because he just thought of a new deritative. since it's been a while this game has been going on, the underappreciated now comes back to the easiest ones. he just makes sure to never use the same twice in one day.

LANGUAGE(S):
► korean // fluent —  it's the first langage he learned, but they left korea when he was very young so he could have easily forgotten it. fortunately his mother made a point of speaking to him in korean, so he kept practicing it his whole life and has always been fluent, without a hint of an accent.
► english // fluent — it's his father-in-law's native langage, so he picked up a few things when he was young, and when they moved to sidney, it became his primary language. but he hasn't been able to speak english very much since he came back to korea so he's starting to forget it a bit.

APPEARANCE:
jordan's eyes are his most striking features. he has slightly larger eyes than what can be considered normal for asians and his double eyelids make it even more apparent. his eyes can easily give him a puppydog look, but jordan refrains from using it because he wants to look cool, not cute. another feature that makes him him is his very cheeky smile.  he likes to bite his lip before turning the cheeky smile into a smirk, as if to say "i know what you've just thought".
jordan likes to change his haircut a lot. but since debut he has found himself going back to the same four :

he switches between them very often, although he favors spiky dirty blonde.

STYLE:
jordan likes fashion, but even if he tries to stay stylish, you'll never see him try too hard either. he loves the sometimes flashy outfits the stylists give them for their performances, and honestly the flashiest it is, the more he likes it. but in his everyday life, jordan perfers more neutral colours and simpler outfits.

PRETTY BOIZ

TRAITS:

persona : charming, witty, attention-seeker

real life :
- positive : creative, hardworking, funny
- negative : hopeless communicator, petty, emotional and vulnerable

PERSONALITY:
"jordan's favorite mug : 'world's best friend'. it's not tacky, it's the truth"
jordan is first and foremost a performer.
he's a crowd pleaser. on stage, jordan is smooth and charming, funny and endearing, he knows exactly how to make everyone be confortable and have a good time. he's always able to read the mood and adapt to it, although he'll usually do his best to turn it into an intimate one. he's good at connecting with the crowd, he makes them them feel like they're friends, as if they have known each other for years. he's also a bit of a smartass, he always has a funny quip ready to make people laugh. jordan strives for people's attention. the spotlight is where he's supposed to be and you can be sure he'll fight tooth and nails to keep it.

one tip he would give you to get this connection with the fans is that by the end of the night, they have to feel like they know you better than others. so you should drop in a little anecdote, a funny one, one in which you say how stupid you are if possible, because people respond well to this kind of embarassing confession. the "must" though, is to share a "secret" with them, or create an inside joke just between you and the people present.
even when he was just a guy performing once a week in the same bar, he had fans and regulars loved him too. he's that good with people. there is no escaping it. where jordan goes, swoons follow. he basically has them eating out of his hand.

"Ah you think music is your ally? You merely adopted the music. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't hear the sound of silence until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but deafening!"
this worship-like admiration is not completely unfounded. it's not just because of his personality, he also has the skills to back it up. jordan is an exceptional singer, but really that's no wonder once you find out his parents were both musical actors. jordan learned how to sing at the same time he learned how to speak. singing is basically a language to him, and he's definitely fluent. he has a powerful voice, that can hit the low notes as well as the high ones. he has perfect control over it and is extremely versatile, he can sing any genre without much trouble. and he also leaned how to dance at the same time he learned how to walk. he'd follow along the choreography when his parents practiced their scenes. they even made him pretend to play a character from time to time.

he grew up surrounded by musicals, incredible singers and dancer, and an almost family-like atmosphere with every casts his parents were part of. jordan knows music and performing in and out and he showed a lot of creativeness from a very early age. he wrote his first song when he was 7, even though it had only 7 lines and it was about chocolate ice cream. jordan wasn't just only born to be on stage, he was shaped to be too. which is why he's very competitive. considering how he grew up, he has high expectations of himself and he can be very sour when someone bests him and brags about it. or just when someone brags about being better. he'll extract revenge one way or another, but always in good fun. well, his revenges won't be harmful, but it's certainly never pleasant either. for instance, he'll hide some of their possessions or take them hostages. of course, he'll always pass it up as him being playful but the truth is he's just petty that way.

"practice is good, practice is life. .... no i didn't meant pizza. practice. yes, practice. why are you leaving?"
but this exceptional talent doesn't come without sacrifices though. jordan has seen the dedication of musical actors and has immediatly soaked up these traits of being hardworking and resilient. when he sets his mind on an something, he practices, and practices, and practices until he gets it. it can be unhealthy because he's so dedicated to mastering it that he becomes completely obvious of the rest and can neglect to eat, to sleep, or worse... to shower. yeah, because jordan stinks when he's sweaty. he'd like it to be attractively musky, but no such luck buddy. it's really a sore subject for him, because he's quite sensitive and vulnerable. he takes all criticism like an arrow through his heart, which could explain why he's willing to train so much. he wants to correct his flaws. but when they're uncorrectable, it really weighs on him. besides, since he grew up next to actors, he's tapped to his emotions, and is really emotional. he's an expert at controlling his body and face expressions, but to be able to have such control and to be able to display any emotion at any moment, he has to be really in touch with them. and unfortunately for his manly pride, crying is never out of the options when something big happens.

jordan is basically a machine and a music freak. he breathes music, he lives music and he radiates music. his life is dedicated to performing so he's always practicing and learning new skills to help him improve. and jordan doesn't understand that other people are not like him. so he's a major pain in the a** sometimes, because he's always trying to get everyone to practice. and honestly, he doesn't get why people don't like it. you can have fun while practicing. it's not a chore. practice can have an easy-going mood too. jordan won't necessarily be the one to initiate the fun, but you can be sure he'll follow along if someone does. he's not going to stop it, unless they and really need to improve. he's pretty carefree and funny when he's in a group.

"people are great, individuals are scary"
jordan basically doesn't have a life outside of this though. seriously, as friendly as he is with crowds, he's not that good at one on ones. on stage, he has girls swooning with a smile, but in real life he completely sabotages himself. he can't align more than 5 words without making a fool of himself. gone is the charming pretty boy, in its place stands an awkward mess. he stutters, messes up words, mixes languages, and always, without fails, puts his feet in his mouth. he has an uncanny talent (that he'd like to get rid of) to always bring up THE sensitive subject that should never be mentionned to the person he's talking to. so how about when there are two people ? you know, two's a company, three's a crowd ? he's even worse when they're three. he doesn't bring up upsetting subjects, noooo. when there is more than one person with him, he always has to point out the elephant in the room. awkward. but then, if one more person comes in, here comes the smooth jordan again. because then it starts feeling like an actual crowd that he can please. just, don't let him be with just one or two persons. it can never end well. which is why you shouldn't let him wander around on his own, especially if you're his manager. he's working on it though, and really tries to get better.

basically, jordan is every entertainment agency's wet dream : he's a charming fellow, he's hard-working to the point it's unhealthy, and he won't get a girlfriend anytime soon because he always messes up one-on-ones! the only setback is that he has to be watched over so he doesn't end up ruining his reputation.

BACKGROUND:
minjun was born in seoul. his father bolted as soon as he found out jordan's mother was pregnant. however his mother, seo sunghee, is a strong woman, and although raising a child on her own was tough, she managed to do it while going back to work very soon after minjun's birth. that's how she met michael, an australian musical actor. they met during a broadway appreciation ceremony in seoul. it was love at first sight. michael decided to stay in korea with sunghee. they eventually got married, and he had no problem with accepting minjun in his family. actually, michael really embraced his new role as a father, and he's always been close to minjun.
eventually, they had to move to australia, because michael had a hard time finding jobs in korea. minjun was 3 years old at the time.
jordan grew up surrounded by music. he started singing very early on, encouraged by his musical actor parents. he attended all their shows and was always the mascott of the cast. he learned to enjoy life and people thanks those tight-knitted groups. they inspired him to be disciplined and committed to the job, just as they taught him to be friendly and easy-going.
when he was in high school, he wrote his first (and only) musical. it was cheesy and really bad, and he was never able to actually play it on a stage but he managed to perform the original songs he wrote in a bar with his friends when he was 18.  the bar was a musical bar, where people would come to sing while patrons eat and drink. the owner liked the performance, so he offered jordan to come back several times to sing for his clients.
although musicals are his first love, jordan quickly drifted from this genre and started listening to pretty much everything. jazz, electro, swing, hiphop, rap, r&b, pop, rock... you name it, he probably had an obsession about it once. his taste in music really varies with time, he listens to only one genre for a period of time, then change.

when he was 19, his family moved back to korea. jordan's mother wanted to go home, and michael had started to be a voice actor so it was far easier to find a job in korea since he was fluent in korean. jordan immediately sought out a career in music, although he stayed far away from musicals. he wanted to see other things. so immediately, his attention focused on kpop. he auditionned for several agencies, but he always found flaws in each of them. something he didn't like that made him not even wait for a response before moving on. for instance, SM entertainment was way too strict, JYP wasn't diverse enough in its music, YG was too closed off on itself to really appeal to jordan. so he decided to find a smaller company that would fit his style more. there's a ton of agencies though, and it was kinda hard to decide. so he didn't. he went to the soonest auditions and tried his luck. turns out one of the first agencies he auditionned for was royal entertainment and he had a really good feeling with kim mangsoo, so he choose royal entertainment. and he was accepted.

he started his training in august 2016. a month later, he regretted the hell out of his decision. royal entertainment is rude as . obviously kim mangsoo was a total lure during auditions and he'll never trust the guy again. jordan is way too dedicated to just quit so he intended to stay at royal entertainment for an acceptable amount of time before jumping ships.
but then in october, the strangest thing happened. the agency grouped all the male trainees together. like, why? some of them clearly can't follow the rythm the best trainees impose. there was something fishy there. fishy, but interesting.

SUPER IDOL MAKER:

jordan was so excited when he found out what royal entertainment was planning. finally something that could make this whole experience worth it! so yeah, you can bet he did all the up to higher ups to get into the show. that's how he got in, by begging and groveling, and showing off a little bit.

although jordan made "friends" on camera, he never had a problem watching people get eliminated. I mean, he's used to goodbyes. because of his parents' careers, he had to learn to let go of people he grew close to. some people actually called him out on it during filming. he just answered by saying that they should enjoy the chance that they've been given and that wasting time being sad would be an insult to those who have been sent home. while some people find that admirable, others really didn't appreciate this comment. eventually though, he explained that he's been trading one family for another since he was a kid, and that dr seuss's "don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" quote was ingrained in him at a very early age. some fans were really saddened by that, and it endeared him to a lot of people. even taeyeon couldn't help but hug him after that revelation.

that doesn't mean SIM was a smooth ride for him. in the early episodes, jordan favored english songs over korean songs, and he was scolded for it by the judges. tablo even forbid him to use english songs after that. it was a huge blow for jordan. he spent most of his life in australia so he didn't know as much korean songs as the other trainees. he spent the next episodes anxiously searching for a meaningful korean song, but he didn't find one he liked before the evaluation. so he just took inspiration from dream high and covered "a goose's dream". the judges expected something more original, but they let him pass nonetheless. after that, jordan tried to relax and he broadened his repertoire. his performances became better and better, and he delivered his best performance the second to last episode. his final performance wasn't his best, but the judges congratulated him on his journey and his progresses. when his name was announced as a winner, he was besides himself. he jumped into the temperamental's arms, got himself kicked for that but it was worth it, then wormed his way between the oldest and the visual and kept his arms around them grinning like a fool while they announced the next winner.

when he thinks back about this adventure, jordan really enjoyed it. he has a lot of fond memories, like the time lee hojin fell flat on his face during a performance, the temperamental's failed attempts at hiding the death glares he'd send the ambitious, himself serenading taeyeon and having her be the harshest when the judges commented his performance. he remembers that fake behind the scene they filmed just after the elimination, in which he and homme's changmin were asked to be funny and they serenaded each other to aladdin's "whole new world" and he got to play jasmine. he remembers the late talks the trainees would have, once the cameras were off and they were all in bed but too excited for the next day to sleep.
ohhh it was hard yes, and exhausting, and most of the time frustrating. but the bad doesn't always overshadows the good. so yeah, it was one hell of an adventure.

LIKES:

►crowds, cameras, fans. same thing to him, really
►disney
►practice. practice can be fun, okay? stop being so judgy !
►music, duh
►well most, music. metal is still just kinda okay with him
►puppies !
►performing
►games
►getting his revenges
►ice cream

DISLIKES:

►individuals, they're scary okay? when they're looking at you, like they're expecting you to give them the deepest and most meaningful conversation they ever had that will personally change their life while interwining theirs with yours, what the hell are you supposed to say? "sorry I'm not as interesting as I seem to be?" yeah, sure...
►people bragging that they're better than him. he's working hard, damn it, he's supposed to be the best
►snakes
►sea food
►people bashing disney. no one should bash disney, no matter how flawed the moral of the stories are. it's fairytales dude, it doesn't have to be a literary masterpiece. and if you say it gives the wrong message to kids, well disney's not for kids. there, he said it. seriously, have you rewatched the movies once you've reach adulthood? it's filled with adult jokes
►people saying he's not a princess. how many times does he have to sing let it go for people to accept he'd be fabulous as a princess?!
►kangaroos. no, they're not cute or cool, they're freaking bulky monsters who will punch you to death, is what they are
►being lost. somehow it happens way more often than he'd like
►his protruding ears

HABITS:

►checking out girls but promptly looking away as soon as they notice and nonchalantly whistling. yes, he knows he's being obvious, you don't need to remind him
►hogging the crowds (or at least, he tries)
►begging the coordi-noonas for a new haircut. he likes changing it often
►inventing a new handshake everytime he greets someone. it gets confusing, so now people just wave at him to say hello
►becoming a huge mess when he's alone with someone. he's working on it, okay?

HOBBIES:

►practicing (in case you didn't get the point yet)
►thinking of concepts, songs and choreographies. but he doesn't pitch them very often to the higher ups though
►watching k-dramas as documentaries on how to talk to people. he's gonna get a girlfriend one day, mark his words!

TRIVIA:

►to jordan, camera = crowd, so he never had a problem when they were filming SIM. he just appeared as his persona on film and not the awkward mess he usually is.
►he stinks when he's sweaty. the other guys make him bring his deodorant during practice and ask him to reapply it every time they have a break.
►secrets mean nothing to jordan. he's like a secrets sniffer dog. it's not even like he's doing it on purpose. it's just that with his uncanny aptitude at putting his feet in his mouth, he subconsciously picks up on stuff. he really tries to keep them to himself, but when he's in a one-on-one, then all hell breaks loose.
►he has an obsession for disney. he loves it and never miss an occasion to cover frozen's let it go, goofily channeling his inner queen elsa and recreating the scene.
►his favourite choreography was the one for What U. but he's really biased, because he actually just though the rolling parts were awesome. and he kept fooling around during practice at first; it was impossible to concentrate. it was the funniest practice they ever had.
►his father-in-law gave him the name jordan when minjun requested to have an english name. minjun loved it so much that he kept introducing himself as jordan when he went back to korea.
►he can clap very very loudly. seriously. so usually he just fake-claps otherwise people give him the stink eye.
►he snores.
►he loves BTS, SNSD, EXO, Blackpink, BIGBANG, Red Velvet, Wonder Girls, GOT7, Block B, BAP...  and the list goes on.
►he looks up to BIGBANG the most though, and especially Taeyang
►he has a public bromance with YOURS' lee hojin, which is mostly spent insulting each other's skills and mocking their failures. tough love is the best kind of love.
►he can write songs, but he just doesn't have much time to do it in his free time anymore.
►musicals are still one of his guilty pleasures, but no one knows that and he intends to keep it a secret.
►he's a sore loser, especially in video games. he always tries to cheat.
►people think he has a crush on Blackpink's Lisa. indeed, there's a video where you can see jordan being completely awkward and stuttering to lisa in the background as the mc announces the winner of inkigayo. the video stops when jordan is being dragged back closer to his group by an unseen person.
►he said multiple times that mamamoo's wheein is his ideal type, but people don't believe him and say he's just too embarass to admit it's lisa.
►he's often invited to guest on talk shows and reality shows.

DEEP BOIZ

STAGE NAME: jordan

POSITION: lead vocalist, lead dancer

TRAINEE YEARS: he was a trainee for 10 months, but really he's been training his whole life to perform.

SOCIAL MEDIA:

instagram : instagram is the only social media in which you'll find jordan. he just doesn't want to spent all his time glued to his phone, juggling between several accounts so he uses only one and does everything on it. he posts photos, videos, and messages for his fans on it. you can find a lot of selfies of him and other celebrities (he's a fanboy so he never misses a chance to take a selfie with the stars he likes) and funny videos of him in random situations. he also tries to post photos and videos of the group backstage or behind the scene but the company has to approve it beforehand so there's not much of them,
►he used to have vine and he'd do funny videos for his family and friends, but he deleted his account when the company announced that vine was fusionned with twitter. he's been using instagram to make funny videos since then and now it's for the fans.

HIS FAVORITE SONGS:
jordan likes their songs a lot. his utimate favorite song is "feel so good pt.2", but he listens to a lot of the other songs :
"that's my jam" is his workout song.
"killer" is the song he can't help but to hum all the time.
"she" is the song he sings when he's in the shower.
"toy" is his rainy days song. he likes to watch the rain while he listens to the song.
and he thinks "hookGA" is the coolest song ever made.
as a whole, their first full album is his favorite record.

FAMOUS BOIZ

GROUP:

since they've spent so much time together, jordan is more confortable with his group than with other people. he's still not completely social-savy, but at least he can hold a conversation with each of them without unintentionally insulting their great-great-grandmother.

► The Leader : the leader intimidates jordan. seriously, that guy was called first every. single. time. and it's not like it's not well deserved. everytime that guy opens his mouth to rap, jordan just can't take his eyes off him. the oldest might have seemed to be a good choice as a leader, but it wouldn't have been the best. while the oldest would be the best leader for the members, the leader is the best leader for the group. the charisma oozing out of him, his drive and thirst for success are probably some of the main factors boyz is as popular as it is. so yeah, if the leader tells him to jump, he jumps. if he told him to shave his head he would. but as much respect as he has for the guy, it doesn't mean he suddenly becomes a nice little puppet. everytime the leader tells them to follow his lead, he likes to sing peter pan's "following the leader" and trotting along behind him.

► The Oldest : jordan is closest to the oldest. he's the one who helped him be more confortable around the members. his patient and nice way really put jordan more at ease. whereas jordan allows himself to be witty to the leader, he'd never dare to do that to the oldest. he also likes the fact that the oldest fits another genre than hip hop, because although it became jordan's favourite, he still into a lot more genres. that allows them to speak about music in a whole different way than with the other members. jordan always confer with the oldest about incorporating and mixing other genres in their hip hop songs to have a fresh sound. sometimes it sounds okay, other times it sounds terrible, but the oldest has never been mean about pointing it out.

► The Visual : jordan likes the visual. he's popular with the fans, so jordan doesn't hesitate to leech off him to get more spotlight. yeah, he uses him but come one, the kpop world is a vicious place to live in. you've got to do what you've got to do to survive in there. still, it doesn't mean that he doesn't care about the visual. he can be nice to be around too. it's just that he would not be the first jordan would go to. they're not as close as he is to the underappreciated for example. there's potential, but it's never been exploited yet.

► The Temperamental : the temperamental and jordan... well. they clash. often. it's like whatever jordan does, it gets on the temperamental's nerves. he doesn't even have to try, it's like whenever he opens his mouth, it's a personal affront to the temperamental. but at least, jordan isn't the ambitious, so he considers himself lucky.

► The Ambitious : honestly, jordan had a few qualms about the ambitious. because, well, the guy is ambitious and practices as much as him. it's scarier than jordan would have thought. jordan was afraid that since the ambitious would want to become better than anyone and brag about it, which jordan would have hated with a passion. but it seems the ambitious just wants to be better for the sake of being better.  for himself. so jordan has become more okay with him as time passed. jordan likes the ambitious well enough now. they practice together often so that helped in getting to know him better and in getting to appreciated who he is.

► The Underappreciated : the underappreciated is cute, okay. not because he's a fluffly ball of rainbows, no. because he's way younger. jordan likes to mess with him the most, because he can always pull the "I'm older than you" card. for example, he pretends that since he's older, he knows better, or that since he's older, the underappreciated should respect and obey him. he acts like an annoying older brother when he's with the underappreciated. but really, they became close because they practice together often. the underappreciated is one of the only ones who understand the importance and joy of practicing, and jordan almost wept with pride when he found out. besides, he's just a lead too, so they can commiserate together.

here's a list from closest to least close: the oldest, the underappreciated, the ambitious, the visual, the leader, the temperamental

FRIENDS

persona (and by that i mean that they're jordan's public friends, but in their private life they're not really friends):

lee hojin (YOURS)  /  wang jackson (got7)  /  bae "irene" joohyun (red velvet)

private life (once he'll be a little more skilled socially of course) :

jung "j-hope" hoseok (bts)  /  later in the story : pranpriya "lisa" manoban (blackpink)

BOIZ FEEL

IDEAL TYPE:
jordan used to describe his ideal type as someone strong, confident and who can mesmerize him, but since the incident with blackpink's lisa, he changed his ideal type to someone sweet and funny who can take care of him and pamper him.

IDEAL TYPES:

I'm okay with another plotline, depending on what you think could be great for the story or not !

pranpriya "lisa" manoban (blackpink)

kim "V" taehyung (bts)

BOIZ love

COMMENTS: it's done, whooo !
soooo, jordan turned out very differently from what I originally wanted. at first, he was based on jeremy jordan : suave, witty (*cough*smartass*cough*) pretty boy. but I just couldn't find the right faceclaim, so I had to settle. I wanted to use u-kwon from block b, but the thing is, I didn't think he was an underrated faceclaim. I mean, he's from block b. and I always had a huge crush on seventeen's seungcheol so I thought I'd use him, without turning him into a huge ball of fluff (well, at least I hope he didn't turn out to be a huge ball of fluff). had I used u-kwon, jordan would be very very very different from what I'm presenting you with right now.

anyway, if you're curious, I kinda saw jordan and hojin's public friendship like that.

also, if it wasn't clear enough jordan is actually insecure, which is why he's not good at one-on-ones, he's just too afraid to disappoint people who expects him to be as interesting as his persona. but I didn't include it in his personality because he's not really aware of it. and I think it's easy to deduce from the rest of the app.

one final thing (i promise it's the last haha), if you're wondering why jordan's last name is seo, even though his father-in-law is australian, it's because jordan's mother kept her maiden name so jordan did the same.

SUGGESTIONS: i think i already put a lot in the app. feel free to change the things that bother you though :)

PASSWORD: honestly, i put taehyung as an ideal type for the lolz don't take it into account if it's too random or inconvenient !
