• ​She has more of a funny side to her since she has watched a lot of comedy videos growing up. Her dad (on his free time) would always joke around with her too.
• Total goof ball!!! She is as goofy then most girls you see on vines. Although she was tought to keep her class growing up, she still goofs around around.
• "That stuck-up witch". That is what a lot of people see from here when she has her bad days. A lot of times her 'bad days' are caused by her boyfriend (who is now an ex) Bayani. From him doing the things he did, it made Marilag very upset and she would act up and complain about everything and anything.

background.  Marilag means beauty and Lailani is her family native last name. Born on July 25, 1998 this girl has went through some drama and close deaths. 

Marilag was mostly raised by her Grandmother growing up. Since Marilag's mom is a lawyer and her dad is a buissness man with his own company and mall, they are barely home. When they are home however, they can get about 2 hours in with Marilag without falling alseep on her. While watching what her Grandma would do to fix her breakfast, at the age of 2, Marilag wanted to learn how to pour her own cereal. Come into 3 years old and she could do it all by herself. That's when her Grandmother thought she had special talents, and she tried to teach Marilag other things to. They did almost everything together for her to learn new things at such a young age. 
 

When Marilag turned 4, her parents had signed her up for pre-school. Her Grandmother walked her to Pre-school everyday and walked her back home everynight. While Marilag was still in pre-school, the family found out her mom was pregnant. Marilag didn't like the thought of a new baby coming into the baby. She knew her Grandmother wouldn't give special attention to her lke she usually does.

Come into 5 when Marilag was in Kindergarten, the baby had arrived. It was a boy and his name was Nimuel, meaning peace and he was born April 4, 2003. After school Marilag would always just watch the baby and study hat he did. Everytime Nimuel did something annoying she would ask her grandmother "Did I ever do that?"

6 about to be 7!! Her mother is pregnant once again. She is 4 months pregnant and Marilag's birthday is in 2 days. So now that is about to be 7 (going into the 2nd grade) she gets to finally watch her siblings. 

At the age of 7 her mother had twins on January 3, 2006. They are identical twin sisters and their names are Lagaya (meaning happines) and Liwayway (meaning the dawn).  These set of twins were late by a whole week! Originally they were supposed to be born on December 26-27, 2005, but they went into the new year. Since now Marilag is in the second grade. She helps her Grandma by watching after her little brother. Now he s two years old and can walk on his own, so Marilag plays with him the way she wanted to be played with when she was growing up.

The magic ball number has a 8!!! Now Marilag is 8 years old. Her dad is now spending more time at home by just a little. With four kids in the house, her dad decided to take the oldest with him for a road trip and the two youngest with the Grandmother. Therefore her dad took her and Nimeul with him towards the outside of the city. Things started going downhill from there. Her dad had saw a car that was following them since they left the gates of their neighboorhood. Her dad tried to speed up and make a lot of turns, but it didn't work. Her dad had turned around in his seat for a second to check on Nimuel and Marilag to make sure they were okay, but he didn't see the stop light ahead. His side of the street was on red, and he still had the car in drive. As they were crossing the street a massive truck was about to run into them. Marilag saw it before the impact and her instict was to hover over her little brother as best as she could to protect him. 

2 months after the car crash. Nimuel and Marilag were still in the hospital. They had took the impact harder then there father since they were so young. Luckily the doctors put them in the same hospital room so the family could see them at the same time. Since her family was really wealthy and famous in the Philippines, a lot of people were sending the hospital and the family mail and other items for the two kids.

3 months after the car crash and both children are out of the hospital. Nimuel had quickly fallen back into his place in the family, but not Marilag. She has now started to become over-protectve of her younger siblings. Then 2 weeks after she found out her mother was pregnant once again. 

At the age of 9 she had another brother. His name was Mikisig (meaning handsome and manly) and he was born November 17, 2007. Now Nimuel is in Pre-school and Marilag is in the fourth grade. She walks Nimuel to pre-school everyday, and one of the ladies that used to teach her in pre-school drives her to her school and picks her up from school so walk with Nimuel back home. 

Now it is October 2012 and all of the kids are older. Marilag is 14, Nimuel is 8, the twins are  5. The family is staying inside to pass out candy and watch Mikisig while Marilag takes her siblings out for Halloween!! 3 weeks after that, guess who is pregnant again?! 

July 28, 2013. Now the last baby is born. His name is Bayani (meaning hero). They named him with a name meaning hero because he will be the hero of the family to take over the family buisness when her the father dies.

trainee life.  During Marilag's traniee life, she didn't really talk to people unless they talked to her first. She was scared that if she talked to people to much, they would get annoyed of her and start talking badly about her.

She did join JYP on December 29, 2015, at the age of 17. She joined that late because she wanted to stay in the Philippines a little longer to pass by her siblings birthdays. As a traniee, she usually practiced more then she should. She over works herself a lot of the time because she wants to be the best. She believes that if you become the best, then she would make her parents proud since they never approved of her becoming an idol in Korea. 

As a traniee she mostly talked to only Thanasukolwit Nin because Marilag knew if she could trust anybody...it was her.
