 ◇ jo-pok ( 조폭 ) : the name derives from the korean translation of 'organised violence group'. many students believe that kijung is part of one, hence calls her the nickname. when talking about kijung's so called gang background, students like to name her jo-pok as everyone knows who their talking about. the name began when she first enrolled at the campus, leather jacket, tattoos visible, b'tch face and to top it all off, her signature sleek black motorcycle. the name was used more extensively when students heard that kijung had been involved in a fist fight shortly after her arrival. 
 ◇ kijungie ( 기정이 ) : a nickname used by the members of the night-blooming cereus dorm. since kijung often goes out of the dorms, if any member finds her just in the nick of time, they'd drawl out the nickname in a teasing voice before saying what they need or want like, "kijungie~ can you get me xxx?" kijung would remain quiet after the request but she'd always come back with what they want. members of the heart bleeding dorm use this nickname too but kijung frankly finds it more annoying when they say it.
 ◇ desperado ( 불량자 )  : used by most of her workmates when she has her shift at the automotive. ever since they found out that she obtained the jo-pok title at hwanggeum, they teasingly call her a desperado. same meaning as a gangster, just more acceptable-sounding. she's more reckless than desperate in terms of fitting in the desperado meaning.
 ◇ flora : made and specifically used by kim namjoon. after her first tattoo session with namjoon, he seemed to find out that kijung loved flowers and gave her the brief nickname. especially since kijung's tattoos always seem to have flowers on them.

kijung is fairly short for her age at 163 centimetres tall and only 49 kilograms in weight. her complexion is a smooth, healthy, natural tan and she has long hair. kijung has dyed her hair many times but her most recent one is dark chocolate which fades into an dull ombré. her eyes are cat-like and naturally winged and she has trimmed her eyebrows into the korean trend of straight eyebrows. kijung's lips are plump and are normally a waterlily pink without lipgloss applied. asides from her face, kijung's most notable features are her six tattoos. one under-, one on her left back shoulder, on her right arm, one on her left wrist, one on her right ankle and one on her left thigh.

Song kijung scrutinised the campus of hwanggeum from her small, shared window sill in the night-blooming cereus dormitory. she sees the dorm-mates of the opposing dormitory nearby, a packet of what seems to be beer and other snacks. she's on the second floor of the building but could see everything clearly with a glance. kijung hears soft footsteps from outside her room door despite the bustling campus below. as the doors open, kijung doesn't budge from her spot let alone move her head to greet her dorm mate        as she greets her. kijung's room-mate simply stares in surprise.

"she's is a little pest. too smart for her own good and she could see past everything, every single facade. she's always been like that. in highschool she missed out every class to date but managed to not get kicked out because of her test scores. she doesn't need to study that much in order to get a's, that little sh't. kijung always wants to do what she wants to do, and the worst part is, she gets away with it. it's even hard to understand what she's thinking, her face is always blank and indifferent or either angry."

Song kijung knows she's a bit...intimidating and harsh to some. particularly to her family at most. though, the people who treat her equally to others make her heart feel a little more warmer. it's a difficult complex that kijung has and she's trying to fix it, slowly, as if building a cobble road. she's not determined to make friends, they never last, but she feels as if she's found a new family in the night-blooming cereus dorm. she's always been persistent to not change the way things are in her life, as it's already a nightmare itself. she planned to not to become close to the girls in the dorms but she found it hard to be bull-headed and instead embraced the friendships. a deadly glare                   morphes into what seems to be a gleeful smile.

"she gets angry really quickly and is unpredictable sometimes. a couple of the boys threatened to trash her bike and she punched one of them instantly. kijung isn't that bad actually, just don't insult or do anything to actually start a fight with her. when she got the highest mark during our first exam, i congratulated her because obviously, she did really great. kijung just gave me a barely visible smile and a quiet 'thank you but it's not that much better than anyone else'. that's when i learnt she was ordinary student and not just the gangster that she makes herself to be."

BACKGROUND
born at 4am, 19th of october, 1996, song kijung was born into the world. she was the youngest child of two and her parents were wealthy operations management directors. by the time she was born, kijung's older sister was already six years old. surprisingly, kijung has always been cold since she was young. since her parents had many connections with other wealthy directors, their young children would often meet up for a playdate. it often didn't work because kijung preferred solitude and reading rather than playing with barbies. she'd usually take the 'boy' toys too, earning teasing from the other kids but she'd casually rebute in an intellectual manner, far too intelligent for her age group to understand fully, and it would end up with a kid crying to their parents and kijung being scolded. by the time kijung did make friends with other children her age, she was eleven and it was by kijung telling a kid that humans were fifty percent related to bananas when they were eating the said fruit and they replied with, 'i know, does it count as cannabilism?'. the kid's name was jung woohyuk and they instantly became great friends. when kijung's father heard of woohyuk becoming her friend, he all together banned her from seeing him again since they were from rival companies. it didn't stop them either way as they were in the same school.

because kijung and woohyuk were still friends throughout the following years, despite her father's disaproval, he decided it would be an acceptable chance to find the rivalling company's tactic. kijung, obviously against the decision. when kijung was thirteen years old, her family had arranged a dinner with wealthy associates. during that night, she witnessed her older sister, hyunmi, snooping around the guest's belongings as they were at the dining area. thinking she was doing the right thing, kijung ran in and announced that hyunmi was violating the guest's belongings. her father, angered that kijung would spout nonsense into very important guests, sent her into her room. when she did comply, after minutes of arguing back, hyunmi came into her room and threatened not to tell anyone. it was then when kijung realised that her older sister, the heir to the company, was already ruling it with dirty tactics. 

after that fateful night, kijung began skipping out on school and didn't even go home for several odd days. she often stayed at woohyuk's place secretly only to come back home from being 'missing' and finding out that her parents didn't worry at all and thought she was an utter embarrassment to their name. she began to contemplate what life would've been like without an 'embarrassment' like her, and that thought led on to other things such as 'what is the point of life?' and 'what is wrong and what is right?'. kijung asked woohyuk what these were all connected to and he replied with the topic of philosophy, a topic which was way beyond their intelligence at their age. kijung soon fell in love with the subject. instead of frollicking around on the school's rooftop, watching the sky with boredom as she did for the first few times she skipped out on classes; she'd often bring a book or two about basic philosophy as 'nothing is too hard unless you try'.

when she was merely sixteen, kijung earned her motorcycle license and that was whenher gangster persona began, in highschool. she was actually more known to be a delinquent more so than a gangster. she skipped out on classes and only appeared for exam periods. her high test marks were what kept her in school, despite her 01% class attendence.  woohyuk would often tell her what she would be doing in class and kijung would usually study elaborately by herself. she finds the classroom to be a nuisance, also another reason why she didn't attend class. her ulterior reason for skipping out on school is because she doesn't care if she gets called out for not attending school by her parents. her parents didn't care at all and she knew she was intelligent, using that to move on in life. kijung would often fight with the other delinquents in her school, as she'd often be alone, and she'd beat them singlehandedly. she'd often be challenged to fights because of simple reasons such as bumping into one another or being in a group of delinquent's spot. the only time kijung starts the fights are because people are touching her property, especially if it's her motorcycle, or are taunting her to the point of irritation. with her parents often calling her a disappointment throughout the past years and many fights occuring, kijung became very ill tempered and was prone to starting or engaging in fights.

throughout her school years, the more her parents felt embarrased and disgraced by kijung. as soon as she graduated, she was kicked out of her parent's house. prompting her to get a job and to find a new place to stay. her obvious choice was to stay with woohyuk for the time being. with kijung out of the house, hyunmi made sure to get rid of any traces of kijung in the family, but not exactly kicking her out of the family registry, by their parent's orders. kijung was okay with the decision, as she cared for them as much as they cared for her. little. 

"kijung is smart and great at philosophy and modern korean history. it'll be a shame if she wasted her intellect to continue being a receptionist for the rest       of her life. that's where i, the majestic, jung woohyuk comes in."

kijung was simply going to not continue with education after she graduated highschool but woohyuk had other plans for her. he applied to hwanggeum for her, even without her permission and surprisingly, kijung was accepted into the university. kijung was skeptical, since it would pay a lot to simply stay in the campus but woohyuk bribed her to go by promising that he'd pay for every hwanggeum related bill that comes up until graduation. a large feat for a small answer. kijung, was still persistant about her answer. after all, she had just recently gotten a job and could even buy her own small apartment to live in for the rest of her life. however, woohyuk hit the nerve by saying that kijung could use the money she had spent up from work to get the tattoo(s) she had always wanted if woohyuk paid for her loans. his bribe worked and that's literally how kijung applied for university. 

when she first arrived at the night-blooming cereus dorm, she was surprised that the said dorm were beginning to become rivals with the opposing male dorms across lotus street. she never understood why the rivalry began in the first place. perhaps one of the girls in her dorm had a long running competition with one of the boys in the opposing dorms, who really knew? either way, because of the rivalry, rowdy partys often occur in the dorm house and by the time kijung comes home, since she had work and wouldn't want to come home to a full party, she often throws the drunk people out of the dorm house if late. sometimes, if kijung does stay for the parties, she hangs out in the corner of the room or sitting on the stairs just watching the crowd. also, rumours in hwanggeum state that kijung doesn't like being called the title and would beat up the person who called her a gangster but in reality, kijung doesn't mind being called a 'gangster' or a 'desperado'. it's merely just a title to her and if that's what people call her, let it be.

FAMILY 
kijung doesn't often spend time with her family. as told by her father, 'she is a disgrace to our name' and so she pretends as if she didn't know them. the only exception being is hyumi, who keeps her up to date with the family. 

  the eldest and superior sister, song hyunmi, rules the family with deceit.
it's a love hate relationship between the two sisters. one looks like heaven and the other looks like hell when it's completely the opposite. hyunmi keeps most of kijung's presence down low in the family yet tells her everything that happens as if it was gossip material. kijung simply hates hyunmi but represses it.

                      
ROOMMATE
frankly, kijung doesn't mind who she ends up sharing a room with. she'd prefer solitude though but doesn't complain. kijung would most likely end up rooming with the sassy hoe. the two are the closest pair, not because they are rooming together, but because of their similar personalities. the fact that their both in their third years, can easily beat up someone single handedly and both have a reputation that doesn't exactly meet the eye. 

kijung often wakes up before the sassy hoe, so the rich girl usually wakes up to see kijung getting dressed, is studying or has already gone. their interactions are often the sassy hoe just ranting about her day and kijung listening quietly, often having her input or a snarky remark once in a while. 

FRIENDS

 their rebellious personalities go hand in hand with one other, though kijung is more on the physical spectrum. kijung and byulie have a lot in common. kijung often quips a smart remark towards byulie if they see each other outside the dorms and vice versa, though it's only their way of greeting one another.

  the athlete star is obvious an a-lister. the best at her sport in hwanggeum.
kijung finds her a bit of a nuisance since she's often very popular and finds herself with a horde of paparrazzi in her non-existant free time. kijung finds the goddess-like persona to be pest too, as the athlete's name is always a topic at hwanggeum. it doesn't mean the two aren't friends though. 

   the cordial prez always keeps charge of the night-blooming cereus dorm.
the two have a mutual relationship. they don't pry into each others privacy and they have the same amount of respect for one another. kijung knows that the sassy hoe is the cordial prez's step sister, as kijung dorms with the sassy hoe but decides to keep it to herself as it should be for the cordial prez to find out. 

 the party animal bares it all during her clubbing rampages without a thought.
this certain person is a wildchild and kijung sort of despises this girl. she's a bit out there and has a strange personality. kijung often steers out of the party animal's way because her daytime personality is aloof but her night-time personality is the complete opposite. kijung finds it hard to connect with the party animal.

   the weird kid has a cute sense of charm that makes everyone fall in love.
kijung and the weird kid oddly get along. the younger girl often questions her, mostly about her colourful tattoos when kijung is in the living room. kijung doesn't mind her as she is just merely curious and appreciates that she carries the conversation on her own. sometimes, if she behaves, kijung takes her on joyrides.

woohyuk has been kijung's friend since childhood and he understands her the most out of everyone. he finds that he is often the cause of the rift between kijung and her parents though it's quickly put aside in conversations. woohyuk thinks of kijung as the sister he had always wanted but acts more like a father.

kijung and seokjin first met as told above. she was lost and seokjin gratefully gave her directions. over the couple of years and a few encounters later, the two are merely acquaintances because of their clashing personalities. kijung finds him to be a helpful person who you could lean on for support.

the two are often seen together, unintentionally, during parties at the corner of the room, usually trapped since it's so crowded. kijung and yoongi bond during those moments and briefly greet each other in the corridors of hwanggeum. a mutual friendship through namjoon, there's nothing more to say.

hoseok, being a lively guy, was a pleasure to be around when the entire campus had frat party. the two met at a party and casually greet each other when ever they spot one another. usually, kijung congratulates hoseok on his sporting acheivements. they often meet together because of namjoon.

   she usually sees kim taehyung in the skatepark after her morning classes
the first ever meeting the two had was an unpleasant one. taehyung was excited when he saw kijung's motorcycle and before he even layed a finger on it, kijung threatened taehyung since she thought he was going to steal it. misundertandings cleared moments later, kijung still keeps a wary eye on him.

like the other boys from the bleeding heart dorms, except namjoon, kijung isn't really friends with jimin. her first meeting was meeting jimin with namjoon as they were exiting the campus. kijung doesn't have many interactions with jimin, but thinks he's a relatively okay guy.

    kijung has seen byulie and jeon jungkook together before, but ignored it.
personally, the gangster-esque girl has never interacted with jeon jungkook before. she's seen him around byulie and namjoon has mentioned him a lot when talking about friends. kijung is a bit wary about jungkook, like she is about taehyung, because she spotted him flirting with other girls other than byulie.

LOVE STORY 
kijung and namjoon had an unexpected first meeting. kijung, walked inside a tattoo parlor, one apparently known for it's great skills and service. namjoon had only been working there for a short amount of time but still serviced to kijung, who paid for an under- tattoo. namjoon, who had never inked an under- tattoo was flustered but nevertheless, he delivered. kijung, impressed with the overall tattoo, and namjoon's charming personality, continued coming to the store, not knowing that he was a part of the bleeding heart dorm. after a few more meetings in the tattoo parlor, their first meeting outside of the said place took place in the philosophy auditorium in hwanggeum university. they bumped into one another at the entrance, immediately recognising one another before sitting next to each other. namjoon, being quite the smooth talker, evolved their relationship from 'client-customer' and 'classmates' to 'friend level'. 

kijung finds their relationship to be very confusing. one moment, they'll be hanging out in the bowling alley, having a fun time. the next, namjoon is flirting openly at her with a seductive smirk and then back to having a fun time. kijung never really had many friends, only one to be specific, so she really didn't know if this type of behaviour was normal between friends. then again, she thinks back on her ten year friendship with woohyuk but quickly dismisses it because they met while they were young and didn't even know how to flirt. he still doesn't. namjoon, on the other hand, finds this situation to be a love-at-first-sight moment way back when kijung first entered the tattoo parlor. he was surprised to see her come back to get more tattoos and to get them filled in with colour. it didn't stop him from trying to become close to her and it worked. it surprised him even more to find her in his philosophy class, "why are you covering all those beautiful tattoos, flora?"

second year of hwanggeum. the confusing relationship between namjoon and kijung continued. kijung found it hard to discover her true feelings for namjoon. they were simply friends, but what namjoon was conveying were more than platonic emotions. the situation was more complex than kijung's intricate personality. she liked namjoon, but was it more platonic or romantic? she didnt know. by the second half the year, it was balantly obvious that kijung had romantic feelings towards namjoon, but it was engraved in her mind that the two were merely friends.

third year rolled by, the dorms were finally full on each rivalling side and feud between the two dorms were even fiercer. yet, the chemistry between kijung and namjoon was still plain to see and prevailed for three years, in namjoon's case. one starry night, when kijung was about to kick out drunk students from her dorm house per usual, namjoon stopped her and confessed directly about his love for her. kijung didn't reply as the calls from her room-mates disrupted the quite romantic moment. the year continues without kijung answering namjoon.

their interactions from the beginning have always been intimate and affectionate, namjoon obviously leading these intimate moments. they usually hold hands when they go out and have fun together, kijung allowing him to ride on her motorcycle with herself when they go out (touching her baby is quite a feat itself) and they, mostly namjoon since he's taller, would wrap his arm around kijung's shoulders in a side hug. namjoon even tells her encouraging yet random compliments about kijung out of the blue. in short, they basically act like a couple, without the kisses and titles, but they aren't. and namjoon would like to change that soon, hopefully by graduation.
