first lines, last lines and reasons behind why i wrote my stories

her auburn hair in his snowy palms

first line: her glasses fog up when he exhales.

last line: but she better get used to it now, because that's all she's ever going to be.

(bc my feels for sujeong/v were so intense back then and i wanted to write something about yeri/chanwoo so bad as well so why not just combine them in one fic)

parallel lines (never meet)

first line: Deep breaths, muffled sobs, air so cold the tips of their fingers shiver; the hair on their necks stand.

last line: Your best friend, Kim Hanbin.

(bc i listened in math class one day and my teacher is sort of philosophical, and she said that one line and it stuck to me all day long and i eventually figured out an angsty, dark plot to go with it; parallel lines lie on the same plane but never meet. sometimes, inspiration comes from your lessons at school folks so better listen)

skip the happy, play the ending.

first line: this is how they cease to exist - risky thoughts becoming a reality, equivocal words leaving shaking lips, fingertips sliding through the ice cold screen.

last line: mina doesn't regret anything.

(based off personal experience. although, we're still on rocky terms with the guy whom i molded to be junhoe in the fic, but like in the ending i wrote, i want us to be free of grudges and regrets in the future and have our own kind of closure. it's why the ending's quite bittersweet because some part of me still wants to give us another shot)

all we have are days

first line: a bead of sweat rolls down the side of his face, it stops a few seconds on his chin before it eventually drops and joins the rest to form a puddle on where he was seated as he rested; directly below the air-conditioner.

last line: he smiles wider.

(BECAUSE THE THREE OF THEM WERE CHILDHOOD FRIENDS HOW CUTE IS THAT. when can we see them together again huhu)

you, i, and the galaxies to cross

first line: the first time is the least memorable.

last line: right now, she was home.

(bc sana/yunhyeong seemed like a great idea at the time and i even got myself making a short vid about them oh christ)

i'm most likely to kiss you if you look at me like that

first line: nayeon thinks back to before; past trigonometry, past geometry, tries to flip imaginary pages in the back of her head as she thinks past all those recent lessons and tries to go to the very beginning of things.

last line: he laughs and somehow, the world seemed brighter and nayeon can't think of anything else that's more perfect and more serene than the moment they had right then and there.

(bc jeonghan desperately needs heteroual fics and nayeon's my first choice for him and i wanted to write about my "im siblings" (nayeon and jaebum) but i didn't know who to pair jaebum with so i ended up with seulgi and i don't even like her that much which is why they have fewer scenes compared to jeonghan/nayeon and i found this rlly cool and cute prompt shop thingy and i was inspired and i wanted to try romcom and fluff for once)

(no more) spaces between us

first line: Surprisingly, her roommate’s singing, the bird tapping its beak against the window, the open-exhaust motorcycles running up and down the streets and everything in between those noises weren’t the reason why she woke up from her peaceful, sweet nap.

last line: Taeyong is different from others, so Jisoo sleeps with a smile on her face and wishes tomorrow would come sooner.

(bc i read a prompt with an organized zombie crawl + this prompt that's the same thing as the story's description and i've been wanting to write about a blackpink and an nct member for a while now so i got this story as end result and wow people actually like it)

I actually finished a lot of fics than I thought and intended, wow, good on me i hope i can be as progressive and creative this year
