Short Poem

Sleeping Beauty

queen by bwaworga

She sat asleep on the stool,

Eyelashes still, silently breathing.

Her fingers hung limply at her knees,

And her heart fluttered like roses.

Hair dancing gently with the breeze,

White gown draped across her body.

And a magnificent gold crown,

Adorned her lowered head.

But her prince won’t be coming.
