— Jihye is really good at keeping secrets. She can keep your secrets for the rest of her life and take them to her grave. She's also dependable and is always there for you whenever you have a problem, She's wise and undestanding, which makes her the leader of her group back in high school. But although she's wise and understanding, she's very quick tempered.

She hates it when you can't understand her, and she hates it when you want her to repeat what she said. She gets annoyed and pissed off easily and she is really impatient and has zero tolerence for some bullsh*ts. Once you piss her off, she'll be veryrude to you. She can hold grudges for  a pretty long time. She's also very sarcastic, and hates it when people doesn't know if she's being serious or sarcastic. She is also very, very egoistic and prideful.

She also has this wall around her heart. She may seem strong and looks like nothing could break her, but in fact, deep down, she's fragile. She's really insecure and although she is like an enigma, she just needs someone who understands and won't leave her whenever she throws a tantrum.

She also hates goodbyes. The main reason why she has a wall around her heart is because she knows people leave all the time, even when they promised they won't. Although Jihye has more negative sides than positives, if she really cares and trust you, then she'll show you the real her. 

background

— Jihye has always wished for an older brother, but instead, she was blessed with 2 younger sisters, Shinhye and Hyerin. Her mom is a housewife, while her dad is a businessman. She wasn't born with a silver spoon, but she's still grateful that her family could still afford to buy things from a famous fashion brand. They aren't wealthy enough that she could spend her money on whatever she wants, but affordable enough to buy things that aren't that expensive.

Jihye wanted to be an idol when her friend invited her to go to a SNSD concert. She was so amazed, she imagined what it would be like to be there. So, she begged her parents to send her to singing class. When her teacher said that she has potential, she started to take singing seriously. 

After almost a whole year receiving lessons, she made the decision to audition for BigHit.

Her dad was actually against her becoming an idol because of the hardships they go through, but she managed to get her mom's help and succeeded in persuading him.
