CHANGDITATOR DIDN'T APPROVE TO TURN ANTEROGRADE TOMORROW INTO A MOVIE

I REPEAT, CHANGDICTATOR DIDN'T APPROVE!!!

Please do take time to read this post bc i'm really mad right now after knowing that a lot of people are so excited about Anterograde Tomorow movie adaptation. Well, I get it that all of us wants to know what it will be like to see our all time fave fanfiction in a movie, but first, let's ask ourselves first; DID THE AUTHOR APPROVE OF THIS? We all know that Fifty Shades of Grey is a fanfiction of Twilight turned into a movie and fortunately, the author approved of that. However, changdictator over Anterograde Tomorrow didn't, so why should we be excited about it? This is harassment! The AT prod didn't receive permission from Chang abt the movie adaptation. CHANGDICTATOR IS AGAINST IT. And if you guys are so hyper about it too, then you must be harassing Changdictator too for approving to the prod team to continue the film. THINK! Secondly, I was very disappointed that they even said: We noticed that a lot of people think fanarts and fanfiction affect real Kyungsoo and Jongin. Okay, they are really being disrespectful now. OF COURSE THAT WOULD AFFECT REAL LIFE KAISOO! And don't you know guys that they plan to use Kaisoo's real names on the movie??? I am highly against it bc that would affect them! Fifty Shades of Grey is alright since the fic was based from fictional characters, but Anterograde Tomorrow is based from REAL LIFE PEOPLE so just imagine what would Kyungsoo and Jongin in real life would feel right? We have to consider their feelings too. /sighs/ Again, what I'm trying to point is, before we get to hyper and excited about things like this, we have to take consideration first if the author approved this. We have to know the background story first and FAQs from the author herself before celebrating. And AGAIN, CHANGDICTATOR DIDN'T APPROVE. SHE WANTS HER FIC TO STAY ONLY IN THE FICDOM, NOT USE IT FOR PROFIT. So please guys, respect changdictator. She doesn't deserve to be treated like this. DON'T GET EXCITED ON THE MOVIE AND THINK ABOUT THE IMPLICATIONS ONCE IT'S RELEASED. Please tell your friends about this so the hype for the movie adaptation would dwindle. This is disrespecting the rights of the owner. We should know better than this.

DON'T GET EXCITED. SPREAD THE WORD. CHANG IS AGAINST THIS AND WE SHOULD BE AGAINST THIS TOO.

i'm dying for an AT movie, too, tbh. have been for literal YEARS. but i can also accept this. it's just logic and respect.

I feel the same way as you. Only IF the author gives her approval and the person who wants to make the movie adaptation changes they names, then it should be okay...but still. I don't get why do a movie!? The author erased the fic. so she didn't want to people read it anymore. (Even tho the real kadi fans we keep a copy on our files,we are not spreading it online bc we respect her choice)
A few of others fans have made a short film based on the story on youtube and that's okay bc we keep it low key. I just hope this won't gain a lot of attention and turns out for the worse...

I agree with everything you said. From what I remember reading though, they're not using this for profit. AND I HOPE NOT. They didn't get Chang's approval since she has been inactive for months but they followed the rules she posted up, saying that if it's in the ficdom then "break a leg." I remember them saying something like, "it should be okay, right?" But honestly I hate the idea of a movie adaptation for something big like AT in the fandom and one of my favourite stories ever. This is not the first AT movie project except this one is more efficient. Lmao. Also them not being shippers turn me off on so many levels.
